Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Katghora, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bilaspur. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
@Gaishiws1: Hi there and thanks for the message. What you list is a brochure for a company that just happens to sell Sodium Metabisuplhite. As I said in the edit summary "No Adverts Please". Thanks, Philg88 ♦talk08:19, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

You are a star, and you deserve one on your page for an excellent image of the 1860s/70s sewer system. Thank you so much for your help - it'll make an excellent addition to the article. Cheers – SchroCat (talk) 17:21, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
Do I proceed to add the content and wait for him to revert, or can I report him for threatening to edit war?Rajmaan (talk) 21:44, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
@Rajmaan: You can certainly report the threat at ANI with the cited diff and request eyes on the related article(s). As for the content, if it's referenced by a reliable source and follows other Wikipedia policies and guidelines then there is no reason why you shouldn't add it. Hi, I've just noticed that you are around. I've got neither the time nor inclination to file a report at AN3 regarding Rahultewaritewari (talk·contribs). They have had umpteen warnings from umpteen people and still continue to revert while being way over 3RR. They have started several threads on my talk page and I've responded to at least a couple of them.
Having checked that article and removed a couple of circular links I see that it has pending changes until 10th April. If the problem persists I will reinstate that on expiry and deal with socks accordingly. Cheers, Philg88 ♦talk15:00, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Do not try to push these reverts away from where they belong. They must be carried at once. I will not tolerate their hiding on a talk page. Any other bold page move would be reverted at RM/TR, and there is no reason why these are the exception. Carry out the reverts (or allow someone else to do so), and then remove them from the requests page. RGloucester — ☎06:09, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
@RGloucester: No need for the hectoring tone. I am not trying to push anything anywhere but rather attempting to keep the technical move requests page free from clutter. That page is not a forum for discussion and as you clearly have a difference of opinion with a number of other editors, you need to take the issue elsewhere for resolution. What you will and will not tolerate is immaterial, what matters is the smooth running of the Encyclopedia. Thanks. Philg88 ♦talk06:37, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
There is no difference of opinion. The moves must be reverted and discussed. Bold moves are not allowed a fait accompli status because of redirect modification. The page will not be free of the clutter until the requests are carried out. RGloucester — ☎06:38, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
@TonyTheTiger: As I recall because somebody requested a reversion of the original move. Please remember, I have no dog in this hunt. I just move things (within reason) when editors ask me to. Philg88 ♦talk06:40, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Sir, this is lying in afd review since long time. Is there a rule for the limit on the days an article is reviewed in afd. Most of the views at present are to keep it. What next? Educationtemple (talk) 09:57, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
That is very nice of you! Also please see this discussion. The permission to use the file was in place on the source with CC BY 4.0 license. Still the image was deleted. I resisted for it but the reason given to me was that the CC license was not in place. I then clarified that the CC license was indeed in place already on the source just below the image itself, then another reason was given that the person whom the image belongs to need to write an email to WP. If I remember the WP image rules correctly, if the image has already been released under CC license, then the email from the person in image is not required. Could you please suggest me what to do next, sir? Was this deletion appropriate ? Is the reason given upon deletion is correct?
In my view, if the image is released under CC BY SA 4.0 (or similar CC license - like the images on flicker), we then do not need any other email based permissions from the author/owner of the image. Educationtemple (talk) 10:26, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Need your help for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Equirectangular map
Thanks a lot for creating Andhra Pradesh Equirectangular map. It has helped fix lot of place marker errors in Telugu Wikipedia. I tried to remove inset, as inset is dynamically done using special templates. The top display is still showing your version, though the thumbs are showing the corrected version. Can you help or let me know how to go about to get that fixed. Regarding Telangana, the current map is not equi rectangular, hence it is showing place marker errors. Can you provide an equirectangular version?--Arjunaraoc (talk) 23:35, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
@Arjunaraoc: Hi there and thanks for the message. The issue of the "wrong" image being displayed has now gone away - the Commons servers take a while to update their cache hence the delay. If you want a similar map of Telegana, then the best way is to file a request at the graphics lab. That way it will remind me that the request is outstanding. Best, Philg88 ♦talk05:33, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
If you have the time, would you mind casting a brief CE-eye on the first draft made by our latest catch? I have given it a first checkup to weed out the most obvious no-nos. Best, w.carter-Talk00:43, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much! We'll get back to you about that. (Also ping @Ceannlann gorm: for this entry.) About the "in/on" thing. The title was my suggestion. We who live there never say anything but "on Gotland". But apart from being an island, Gotland is also a county, a region, a municipality, a province, an administrative unit, a diocese and a military area. And things happens "in" all of those, and I have come to accept that English like to use the "in" for Gotland in regards to these. Even though it goes against everything that feels "right" for me. So, the question is: Should we "trust the natives" and let the island thing take precedence over the rest for the title? Best, w.carter-Talk07:39, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
You're welcome. As for the "in" and "on", the guideline suggests using the version most common in the English language; since this is a prepositional rather than a nounal matter, the most common usage is that of a native English speaker/writer, which is "on". E.g "on the Isle of Wight" cf. "in London". Best, Philg88 ♦talk09:38, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
Ok, then "on " it is. :) I'm very happy to hear that. Can I make the correction as I move it to main later, or is that something I have to make a request for? w.carter-Talk11:11, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
I recently made edits on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard concerning Philg88. I would like to make it totally clear that I did not mean the content of the message. It was a quote from an editor I have raised an ANI about. I'm afraid I was making a point about the language the editor was using that should not have involved another editor. I unreservedly apologise Philg88...I most certainly did not mean what I wrote.__DrChrissy (talk) 20:58, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
@DrChrissy: Apology accepted. It's perfectly understandable that you are unhappy about what has transpired at ANI and ANI but lashing out at other editors won't solve anything. Maybe the time has come for you to drop this and get back to the business of building an encyclopedia. Cheers, Philg88 ♦talk05:37, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
