Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:04, 7 August 2010 (UTC) Hi! A request for your inputPer wp:CANVASSING, this is a neutrally worded notice being sent, without any type of "selection" bias, to everyone that edited fairly recently the MOS page about how to term the Latter Day Saints denominations on Wikipedia in the belief that your various and collective expertise or expertises, if that's a plural, can help us improve its wording, if possible. a bit. The most pertinent section is here. And the issue is to what degree the terms "Mormon church" and "LDS church" relate to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in specific, and to what kind of sourcing should be used to document this. Thanks, if you find time and the interest to look into the matter and offer your opinion or commentary.--Hodgson-Burnett's Secret Garden (talk) 23:20, 23 March 2011 (UTC) Questionable "written like a résumé" citationPlease look into the "Like resume" tag at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diane_Roberts , which article I attempted to make conform slightly more to the "Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)" and, in the process, moved the "Like resume" tag to the bottom of the article right above the "stub" notice. What is in the present article is all the objective information I can gather about the person; I initially wrote the article to resolve a couple of red links to her and, although I met her briefly twice (in 2004 and 2005), I have no reason to promote her or in any other way write in a non-neutral tone but may appear to have done so because all the available information is all positive. I thank you, Vincent J. Since you had some involvement with the Westfield Elementary School redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). With respects, what the French do at their Wikipedia does not dictate what we do at ours. Their deletion vote and its lack of actual discussion has little bearing on what we do here. That said, and finding enough sources dealing directly with him to satisfy our notability guidelines, I've been working on the article for Prosper Masquelier... fixing someone's poor trans-wiki of the article from fr.Wikipedia, adding proper reliable sources, correcting errors created by the mis-translation to English, removing hyperbole, and making the whole thing properly encyclopedic per OUR manual of style.[1] God love the French, but they use a skewed set of guidelines and policies... similar to but not quite the same as ours... and per OUR policies and guidelines, I think the GNG is met. More to do and I'll keep working on it. Best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 03:35, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

You've familiarized yourself with the entry before, and your insight and perspective on the matter would be appreciated. It's a common and confusing mistake. Good luck with further research. PS It's not the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons either!! AGvethist (talk) 17:58, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I realise why you may have thought this! The work is original. As far as the other heading surviving, if wiki does not let application or how-to knowledge exist on it, then I will probable not have anything useful to add to wiki. I am a scientist. Encyclopedic definitions are easily available on the web. Useful application data is truly valuable and difficult to come by. If wiki does not want the rare valuable part of acquired lifelong experience, then it will remain little more than a dictionary. I did not pay much attention to wiki's limitations until now. I will let others keep wiki updated with commonly available word definitions. It is the real life experimentation outside of the classroom that interests me. Please remove this clutter when done reading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.184.98.149 (talk) 18:28, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Apparently someone had vandalized the page by removing a reference symbol and you completed the job unwittingly :/ Rosa 09:50, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Surti Muslims to be merged into Gujarati MuslimsHello!! - I just went thru the history to find out you had put merger proposal tags but after putting up {{merge}} template probably you did start discussions at respective talk pages. Anyway, I have put my comments in both talk pages and as per my opinion Surti Muslims should be merged into Gujarati Muslims. May be you can add your votes and comments on respective pages. Cheers!! If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. Crossing pathsHi, Peter. Nice to make your acquaintance. We seem to have more than a few things in common. I was especially struck by I love being a reference librarian, though I have never been employed as one. It seems to me that helping people find answers is what Wikipedia is all about. Do you know of the Wikipedia:Reference desk? We can always do with new blood, particularly those from that vanishing breed who know about its/it's, your/you're, etc etc. If helping people for absolutely no remuneration except feeling good is your thing, come on down. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 19:00, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
