User talk:Peaky76Brocklesby StakesHi Peaky. Thanks for starting this article. I have added a sentence and a reference on Donovan's win in 1888. I was also thinking of starting an article on Provideo (he was British Horse of the Year in 1984), which might help. Tigerboy1966 21:07, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Welcome, thanks etc!Hi, I've only recently noticed you creating good horse racing articles although I see you've actually been around for a while. Great to have someone else around doing good quality horse racing stuff. I'm always willing to copy-edit articles, add in links, review stuff although I don't have much time these days for starting new articles, so if you need a hand or want to discuss anything on the subject please give me a shout via my talk page. Cheers! --Bcp67 (talk) 11:08, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Ballabriggs, Imperial CommanderGood work on both articles. They certainly aren't stubs anymore. equineline is a good, reliable source for pedigrees. Tigerboy1966 22:43, 13 April 2013 (UTC) SourceThis [1] is a good source of news stories on British Racing, especially in the late 19th and early 20th century. The NZ papers tended to reprint stories from the British ones, but as the British ones aren't generally available free on-line, this works very well. Tigerboy1966 19:47, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Freddie FoxI have added a bit more info and references to the Freddie Fox (jockey) article, I dont have any interest in horse racing but just like to improve articles when I see I can improve them. Fox is birth place is from the 1911 Census which agrees with the General Register Office Birth Index which gives the registration district that includes Berrington. Keep up the good work. MilborneOne (talk) 11:50, 28 April 2013 (UTC) Annoying requestThose redlinked jockeys keep turning blue. Frank Wootton was years overdue for an article and a true "forgotten great": I honestly thought that he was born in South Africa till I read your article. Anyway, one of the things that happen when you get established as an authority on a subject is that people pester you with annoying requests for new articles, so here goes: Joe Childs please. Tigerboy1966 20:52, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
LathHi, like Tigerboy I noticed you have been making good progress through the jockeys. I removed the odds column on the summary of Lath's known races, seeing as we don't know the odds for any of his races. Also, only a minor point, and I'm not sure which is more reliable, but Pick and Johnson's Turf Register (1801) says his match against Squirt was worth 300 gs and the race at Malborough £50 rather than 50 gs. ps good work on the 1780 Derby, Edwarddutton (talk) 21:39, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Joe ChildsWhat a great article - you get a real sense of his career and personality - found it fascinating. I see you've got the Howard Wright "Encyclopedia of Flat Racing", still a much-thumbed book on my shelves over 25 years after it was published! --Bcp67 (talk) 19:21, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
Books about racecoursesA couple of books worth getting hold of are a pair I have written by John Tyrrell in the late 80s or early 90s - Racecourses On The Flat, and Chasing Around Britain. Good on the history of racecourses in Britain. --Bcp67 (talk) 18:49, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

The two Swinburns are easily confused for having the same first name. Wally was based in Ireland and Walter in England, but their careers did overlap slightly and both won Classics in 1981, Wally at the end of his career and Walter at the start of his! All the best and hope to see you doing plenty of editing in 2015. --Bcp67 (talk) 21:07, 9 January 2015 (UTC) Gordon BrownI notice that in the List of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom you deleted my reference to Neville Chamberlain as last British PM to hold the office without involvement of a General Election, explaining it was no longer the case as Gordon Brown had superseded. Gordon Brown, although he took office mid-term to succeed Blair, did contest (and lose) the 2010 General Election so it cannot be said his term was untested.Cloptonson (talk) 21:58, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:37, 10 July 2020 (UTC) Paid editor requests your review of comedian's notabilityHello User:Peaky76. My name is Dan Cook. I do paid editing on behalf of clients, mostly article cleanup, always using the Simple COI request template. My partner and I avoid new articles for any number of reasons. But I recently got a request for help with a new article from a British entertainer, Sheridan “Shed” Simove. He had a Wikipedia entry that was posted in 2011 but was deleted this past June. I am reaching out to you because your interest in Edinburgh Fringe may have brought you into the orbit of Shed World. The story behind the deletion is convoluted, as you can imagine. But after talking to him, I think what happened was he went in to the article to add in new information without disclosing his COI. (I’m pretty sure he did not understand the rules around such editing.) Another editor saw his work, decided he was not notable, and deleted it. I reviewed his coverage and I do believe his is sufficiently notable to merit a rather short article. Would you be willing to review my draft? I have written and formatted it, along with an assessment of the media coverage as per Wikipedia media credibility and the 65% guidelines. He’s got a fair amount of high level coverage (BBC, Reuters, Guardian, ABC News). If so, please let me know whether you want me to put it in draft space, post it on your talk page, my talk page, my sandbox, etc. He would really appreciate knowing whether or not you think he can be restored to Wikipedia. I can share his previous article if you like. Thanking you in advance for any feedback you have to offer Shed. DanDavidCook (talk) 22:15, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
