User talk:PaulBredereckJETGOG'day Paul. I don't think we have met but we have several acquaintances in common (you know how small the industry is) and I think we have spoken on the 'phone when I did some work on 'NEY. Here on WP there are a few things you need to be aware of. Please read WP:COI, WP:V, WP:RS and WP:OR - you may know that it should be "JETGO" but someone other than you needs to say it, and do so in something other than internal company documents or in an email to me. I did a search for "jetgo" on ABN Lookup and found "JET-GO INTERNATIONAL", "Jet-Go International Pty Ltd" and "Jetgo Australia Holdings Pty Ltd" were active. If the change to "JETGO" hasn't actually been completed, then you shouldn't change it in the article. Also, if you want to change the styling of the name, please don't be lazy by using the Undo function; among other things there is broad consensus on WP that registrations of individual aircraft is not worthy of inclusion in airline articles, and in my opinion there is no need to have ICAO airport codes in image captions or more than one image in such a small article, especially when one doesn't show a complete aircraft. When Jason Ryder sold JetGo International he also assigned certain rights to the name. It has taken me 6 months to try and clean out the use of the old font to remove any possible conflict. If I knew how to upload images I would post appropriate material. As for the website... don't go there, it is a major frustration for me! There are several places you can see the correct logo font etc... such as wholesale Investor website http://www.wholesaleinvestor.com.au/company/jetgo-australia/ BTW. while you are at it why not upload the logo? 58.173.224.250 (talk) 08:20, 29 June 2013 (UTC) Cheers Paul Jetgo issueThis issue can be sorted out pretty painlessly if you could email info-en@wikimedia.org regarding the matter, using your corporate email address (or any that is identifiable with the company). Thanks. —Dark 11:01, 13 July 2013 (UTC) Thanks for that... yes some of the stuff that has been put on Wiki about us is just crap... cheers Paul 58.173.224.250 (talk) 23:09, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
And constantly changing it back once it is corrected. AS I understand it the rules of Wikipedia allow information to be provided by a company representative if it is from a verifiable source... such as @jetgoaustralia.com.au email address. Frankly I don't really care that much, but if the page is there it can at least be accurate and not breach someone else's IP... just because the media reports something does not make it fact, such as JETGO RPT which is pure speculation, as we have never announced where we will service once we get our AOC upgraded. Likewise our website was put together by a third party before the company started and has basically not been touched since... a new website is in the pipeline, but will not go live until the RPT ops are ready to commence as it has our internet booking engine etc.... I agree I think JETGO is sufficiently significant in that it is the only operator of true regional jets in Australia, and quite successful I might add. I was also once asked about my former company Tamair, which ceased operations in 1998... mainly because so many pilots got their start in the industry through Tamair... I did up some info for Zarik who runs The Australian Aviation Collection... see http://aviationcollection.org/Tamair/Tamair%20History.pdf I am happy to provide you with a word version of this if it is of interest, just give me an email address I can attach it to.. pbredereck@jetgoaustralia.com.au Cheers Paul PaulBredereck (talk) 03:15, 14 July 2013 (UTC) |
