LA Metro map

Great map, one of the best transit maps I've seen on the site. Do you have an SVG version available? I think that would be good to upload to make it easier for other users to make updates and changes. I noticed a handful of station names are outdated and it would be great to have an SVG version available to correct. –Dream out loud (talk) 18:00, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Here are some out of date stations (haven't checked every single one):

• All Expo Line stations have "Expo" in the first part of the name (i.e. Expo/Crenshaw, not Crenshaw/Expo)
• Imperial/Wilmington now Willowbrook
• 103rd St now 103rd St/Watts Towers
• Long Beach and Lakewood now have "Bl" added to the end of the name
• Willow and Anaheim now have "St" added to the end of the name
• Hawthorne now Hawthorne/Lennox
• Vermont now Vermont/Athens
• Pacific now Pacific Av
• Mission now South Pasadena
• Del Mar on Gold Line misspelled as "Del Amo"

Also, the Silver Line doesn't stop at Jefferson/USC (Expo Line only). There's a separate 37th St/USC station for the Silver Line. Didn't check every single station, but just happened to notice these. Please upload an SVG version if you can (for this any another maps you've created). –Dream out loud (talk) 00:30, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

I think you should really consider uploading an SVG version of the map, even if you have encountered issues. It's possible that there is an issue with the software you were using to create the files, but if you upload it here, myself or another editor could correct those issues so it could be used on the site. Even if the SVG is not used in the article, it could be kept on Commons and used as a template for any future changes to the map. I have also spotted a couple other errors and it would be much easier if an SVG file was available so I could simply make the changes myself. –Dream out loud (talk) 02:45, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

I've also noticed that your Regional Connector map is outdated. Please upload the SVG files here and I'd be happy to fix the files so there's no font errors and update the images. –Dream out loud (talk) 00:09, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

You are invited to join us for a full Saturday (drop-in any time!) of social Wikipedia editing at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for our upcoming "WikiArte" Latin America Edit-a-thon, for Wiki Arte y Cultura Latinoamericana, a communal day of creating, updating, improving, and translating Wikipedia articles about Latin American art and culture. Saturday October 3 WikiArte Edit-a-thon @ MoMA (RSVP on-wiki or at meetup.com). 11:00am - 5:00 pm (drop-in anytime!) at MoMA Cullman Education and Research Building, 4 West 54th Street All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required. We will provide training sessions and resources for beginner Wikipedians, WiFi, reference materials, and suggested topics, as well as childcare and refreshments. Please bring your laptop, power cord, and ideas for articles that need to be updated, translated, or created. You are invited to join us for the MoMA Art+Feminism edit-a-thon on Saturday, to support the expansion of Wikipedia's coverage of women in the arts. We encourage both people new to Wikipedia, and people who have experience editing online, or have joined us for past edit-a-thon events. This is by far our biggest event of the year (over 200 participants in the last edition), and every extra hand counts, so please join and volunteer to help us engage new communities! File:Monir Portrait-exh ph021.jpg On Saturday April 30, 2016, in conjunction with a global campaign, the Guggenheim will host its fourth Wikipedia edit-a-thon — or, #guggathon — to enhance Wikipedia's coverage of modern and contemporary artists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and to counter geocultural systemic bias on Wikipedia. The Guggenheim aims to further the goals of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, and build on the model of campaigns like the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Women in Architecture, Wikipedia Asian Month, and Art+Feminism. New and experienced editors are welcome. The event will include a training session for participants who are new to Wikipedia and Wikipedia specialists will be on hand to provide basic instruction and editing support.
