Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Phou pheung noi, from its old location at User:NruasPaoYPP/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Nathan2055talk - contribs 22:46, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nathan2055 - I just want to make sure if I understand the comments showing above. Do you mean the draft that I was working "Phou pheung noi " is now reviewed and is good to go? So it is now moving to the approval waiting list in waiting to get "approved" or "decline", right? I don't understand it, could you explain a bit more details please? What do you mean "This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions". Thank you.NruasPaoYPP (talk)

AfC notification: Draft:Phou pheung noi has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Phou pheung noi. Thanks! Calliopejen1 (talk) 04:58, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Calliopejen1,
I'd like to thank you for the works you did for my draft and the comments you left in my "Talk page" and the email notifications that are sent to my email address. First of all, I would like to say I am news here so I know just a little bit of Wikipedia editing. This is because there are too many technical skills I don't know. When I saw the comments posted in my "talk page" and the messages sent to my email address, I felt frustrate. I am asking to myself what's wrong and need to edit. This is because I don't know what and where to start and go to edit? However, about my drafts, please use the one that is said" Phou pheung noi", and ignore the other one that is said [Ban Phou pheung noi].
About the "YouTube" video reference with which you were talking, I will go back to remove it. And then I'll try to replace this by another one. I think "Google Photos" or "Google Maps and Google Earth" would help me to add "Timestamp" and indicate where viewers should go.
One more thing about the "Phou pheung noi" JPG picture that is downloaded to support my draft, i just want to let you know that this is my own work. This is not a scam or copyright photo from the works of someone or organization. This was my handworks and this photo is my native village. This is where I have grew up and lived before 1969. Due to the Vietnam War, I and my parents including other people who were living on this mountain peak had to leave that place to escape death. This is why I am today in the United states of America. Thank youNruasPaoYPP (talk) 03:06, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello NruasPaoYPP! Your additions to Draft:ChongBlia Yang have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 22:28, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dan,
I apologize for what I did, because I am still learning. Before going to copyright the materials of the website "Joshua Project.net", I have sent an email to the owner of the website owner, especially the owner of the materials, to know if I can use their materials to support my Wikipedia page. After this, the next day, I got a reply from the owner, Paul, saying as below:
Thank you Doua for your email. We will help you as much as we can, for your noble goal. First, here are some links to resources on our website that will be helpful, but also will take you a lot of time to read and get info from….
To me, it's approved. This is why I copyright their materials. I should still have their permission email in my files. However, all information that I have taken from Joshua Project are now deleted and taken off from my page. Please restore my Draft:ChongBlia Yang to paragraph or job I have finished this morning of today, Sunday, December 19,2021. I will not copyright any other materials again. I will try my best to get my own works done Thank you.NruasPaoYPP (talk) 00:36, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
According to the Terms of Use on the Joshua Project's website, they sometimes host copyright material from other sources with permission. That is the case with the various pages you referenced, for example Hmong Leng in China where it says "Operation China, Asia Harvest Copyrighted © Used with permission " at the bottom. That means that Operation China, Asia Harvest holds the copyright for that text and they are the only ones who can license it, rather than the Joshua Project website owner. They have allowed it to be used on the Joshua Project website, but that's not necessarily a compatible license with Wikipedia.
Anyway, the only text I have removed from the draft is the various profiles copied from the Joshua Project, so all of your other work should still be there or in the page history. If it helps, this was the version of the draft right before you added the copyright text. DanCherek (talk) 05:37, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dan, Thank you. About copyrighted materials, I went in primary to the "Joshua Project website", and there, they told me and gave me the link to go to "Asia Harvest.org " which is the real owner of the information that I want. It was there, Asia Harvest.org, where they told me that they can help me and also use their resource if I want some of them for my Wikipedia project (page). Anyway, after I deleted all materials with which I copyrighted from Joshua Project or Asia Harvest, I have added my own works to my draft page, but I don't see the "reference line or section" there, why it is gone? Do you know how to do to get the line "References" back please? Thank you.NruasPaoYPP (talk) 13:29, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've readded a References section for you. Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials has some information on how Asia Harvest can properly release their text under a compatible license with Wikipedia – meaning that it would be able to be shared, distributed, transmitted, and adapted by anyone, as long as they provide attribution. Sorry if this seems a little bureaucratic, but it would be needed in order to verify that the text is properly released under a compatible license; an email between you and them isn't enough here. DanCherek (talk) 14:26, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dan, thank you. There are some references that I put in my current page, some are pointing to Asia Harvest.org resource and the others are not. Could you check the ones that I have now if they are compactible or look good to have a reference section please? Being a Miao/Hmong living in The United States, to find out who are the Miao / Hmong people and where they came from to live in the South East Asia countries, honestly, there is no resource. I can testify this. I believe that, only Chinese can have materials for Miao / Hmong people and may be their origin. When I found the Asia harvest organization website, I discovered they have lots of information about my ancestors and their past life, especially my (origin) Miao /Hmong people living years ago in china. Unfortunately, nobody can read and write their history to keep for their descendants until today. In Laos where I was born, some of the Miao /Hmong people went to school only just before the Vietnam War began, not before. The reason is there was no school at that time in Laos. This is why I want to put the Miao /Hmong people in Wikipedia for the future generations to know where they were from. Thank you.NruasPaoYPP (talk) 16:03, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ban Phou Pheung Noi, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hmong and Miao.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DPL bot, I would like to thank you for talking about "Ban Phou Pheung Noi" with the Hmong / Miao pages I wrote. First of all, Ban Phou Pheung Noi was a village built on a mountain, in the middle of the tropical forest, then it is lived by a mountain tribe who originated from the genitor "Chong Blia Yang" or the descendants of ChongBlia Yang. Who is this man and where is he from? What does he have to do with Ban Phou Pheung Noi?
To answer this question, I want to go back to show who were the parents of ChongBlia, and then, who were the children of ChongBlia, especially the people of Ban Phou Pheung Noi from 1950 - 1970. Where did they come from?
They were nomadic people from China, especially south of China. Who were they? They were from Miao / Hmong who are from hill tribes. Who are these Miao / Hmong? Why did they settle in Laos, especially in Ban Phou Pheung? What are the origins? To know the roots of ChongBlia and its descendants, I need to go and look for more details on these people and ethnic groups to find out who they are. If you are going to read Fresno county Wikipedia pages or Minneapolis Wikipedia pages, they write and also talk about people and where they come from. What I write about the Hmong / Miao and their tribe is to find the proof
to justify and prove who were and where they came from, especially the "descendants" of ChongBlia. What are the Hmong / Miao and what are they called the mountain people?
Thank you . Please let me know if you have any other questions regarding my "Hmong / Miao" and Ban Phou Pheung Noi pages.NruasPaoYPP (talk) 23:58, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DOL bot, I added links pointing to Doctor and tools Axes and Sickles, because I thought I need to find some evidence or links to justify what it was the Hmong shamanist and also the blacksmith Hmong in Ban Phou Pheung Noi at the time. In my thoughts, I think I would need to explain more precisions to the readers. What did they do in Ban Phou Pheung Noi village, why did I quote them? It was in this think that I added links pointing to Doctor, Axes, and Sickles. Shouldn't I do it? If these links have nothing to do with what I wrote about Hmong "Shamanist" and Hmong "Blacksmith" in Ban Phou Pheung Noi, then please let me know and I'll go to remove them. About Mr. Pop Buell and Doctor, it was in social media section. Thank you.NruasPaoYPP (talk) 02:01, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DPL bot,
Why I added a link pointing to "Market"? In my mind, I was thinking people would not know what a market or market store is? That was why I added the link. In addition, by adding a link, this will help the readers. Thank you, I'll take the link off and then leave "Market" not bold (without the link). I am learning how to edit. Rosguill, is it a problem of the village and the school name? As I explained earlier, the village name is called "Sam Thong" and the Middle High School name is "unfortunately associated "partly" the name of the village (Sam Thong). I don't see what's the problem about this. The 2 things are different from one another. If you look at the Wikipedia page of "Saint Paul Public Schools - Wikipedia" in Saint Paul, Minnesota then you'll see "Saint Paul" twice and associated one time with Public Schools and then the other one with "in Saint Paul". This is the same in my article. I don't know if I understand the issues that you contest and want to delete my article. If I understand the problems that you're talking, it should be about "SamThong college" and the "village name" of "Sam Thong". As I have already explained, my article is about the Middle High School "Samthong college". There are 2 words of Sam Thong and Samthong. The meaning is the same, but the writing is different. Some used Samthong, the others used Sam Thong. There is no error about this when people read it. Usually in Laos and the Southeast Asia countries, local people knew what it meant except foreigners and others. About "college", I want to clarify this word. In my article, this word is used as French, not in "English". It wrote "college" and this looks like English, but it is in French. Remember, the history started at the time when education in Laos was almost in French. The name or sentence "Samthong college" is in French and means "Middle High School" in English. If the reference (3) which is cited " Sam Thong, the past is never dead. It's never even past" needs to remove then I will take it off to avoid a confusing of things. I put this reference there, because I wanted to let the readers know the location of the village, especially the Middle High School or Samthong college location. Although this school is now closed, it has bought lots of things to the Hmong hill tribe's children. Due to this school, some of them become PHD and engineer today in the USA and also other western countries. NruasPaoYPP (talk) NruasPaoYPP (talk) 00:57, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

To Kvg - I don't know if you know and understand what the article "Hmong_customs_and_culture_Hmong_New_Year" says? I guess you are off topic between "Hmong New Year" and where does this term come from? Don't say he is from Hmong Noj Peb Caug. The 2 terms might have a bit different meanings in different way, due to Hmong culture and civilization. When called "New Year", it is only by new Hmong generations born today. Hmong people never have a calendar in their life, how do they know it's "New Year"? In 1970, very few people had a high school diploma. Some didn't even know why 31 days ago. In fact, the term "Hmong New Year" or whatever you've read and heard "New Year" has never existed before. Only Noj Peb Caug has always existed and has always been called by the Meao, the Hmong. Of course, it is celebrated in Hmong communities once a year as it used to be. Only the new Hmong generations born today changed it to New Year, instead Noj Peb Caug. About Hmong Noj Peb caug and Hmong New Year, I would like to discuss with you face to face or in person if you wish. You shouldn't know what it is? In the culture of the Hmong tradition, we don't have a Hmong New Year. Generally, the new year starts automatically the day after the date of Noj Peb Caug (you can call it Hmong New Year as you wish) 30 . What is said in the "Hmong_customs_and_culture...bla..bla..bla" paragraph above has nothing to do with the Hmong Noj Peb caug festival. Normally it shouldn't be called "New Year". So don't confuse and put anything not related to Hmong tradition culture and also Noj Peb Caug Hmong to make other people misunderstand my Hmong culture.I hope you and other guys don't 'will not change my culture like Hollywood filmmakers change the lives of Indians. I was born in the late 1950s so I know well what it is about Hmong culture and Hmong Noj Peb caug. Things have been said and told differently without knowing the story before.Due to alphabet problems of Hmong born before 1950, things of Hmong culture have been modified and changed.cannot be accepted. So what is said and quoted in the paragraph as follows: Hmong_custom_and_culture_Hmong_New-Year is only part of Hmong Noj Peb Caug or Hmong New Year. See my comments below.
In the Hmong culture, the Hmong New Year (Noj Peb Caug) is an event celebrated once a year after the end of the harvest. The event became a sort of annual Hmong festival and has since been called Noj Peb Caug. Today it is called "Xyoo Tshiab (New Year Hmong)" by the new Hmong generations born today, then "Noj Peb Caug" by most people who still live in rural areas. The Miao, Meo, Hmong have celebrated this “Noj Peb Caug” event for a very long time. Usually, Noj Peb Caug terminates all activities of Hmong culture as well as works and those related to Hmong life. This is why Noj Peb Caug is fixed after harvest. The new year begins when Noj Peb Caug is finished. This is why she is celebrated on the 30th of the month and is called Peb Caug (30).NruasPaoYPP (talk) NruasPaoYPP (talk) 00:05, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you've resubmitted your draft. I think that is the best way to proceed. I am not an expert on this subject area and don't appreciate the nuance you're trying to convey here. Please consider that our readers are also not experts and may encounter the same problems. ~Kvng (talk) 12:23, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have been struggling to understand why this shouldn't be merged into Hmong_customs_and_culture#Hmong_New_Year or should not replace that section. I admit that I have failed, not through lack of trying. Surely it would-be more productive to discuss this on the article's talk page?
I am wary of reviewing the draft because, if I accept it it is likely to face deletion as a WP:POVFORK, so it seems to me that AFC is probably not the place for this
Courtesy ping to @Kvng:, who seems also to have struggled. I will place this comment on the draft to assist future reviewers 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:01, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a note at Talk:Hmong_customs_and_culture#Draft:Hmong_New_Year_(Hmong_Noj_Peb_Caug). If nothing comes of that, it may be time to boldly accept the draft and either nominate it for deletion or wait and see if anyone else does. Let's use AfC for triage, not brain surgery. ~Kvng (talk) 14:44, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
As I said in my previous interventions, I don't know what to say about your refusal. When you say Hmong New year it is the custom and culture of the Hmong people, not the new year. To me, this is an insult to the Hmong, H'mong, Miao, Meo people all over the world. Why do you say that the Hmong New Year does not exist? Plus he's not notable like the others? The Hmong New Year is an ethnic holiday for all Hmong people living in all corners of the world from Asia to America, the home of native Americans. All the Hmong celebrate the Hmong New Year like Westerners celebrate their Christmas or New Year's Eve except the way is different and they celebrate it differently in their own way. But the notability is the same for everyone, no racism for one or the other. Do you understand that you and I were born from different customs and cultures with different beliefs and also languages, so how do you want us to celebrate the Hmong New Year in your way to be entitled to an article? Explain yourself? So, I don't see why our New Year doesn't have the same value as yours? Why should our New Year not be entitled to a notable arc like those of others? Regardless, my draft, especially the "Hmong New Year" draft, should not be merged into the existing article on Hmong#Hmong custom and culture. That said, it has nothing to do with what you think. In any case, there is a difference between New Year and Custom or Culture. Hmong New Year has nothing with custom and culture article. I don't know how to explain to you more details about the difference between customs and New Year. But one is custom and the other is more of a holiday or holiday celebration.NruasPaoYPP (talk) NruasPaoYPP (talk) 22:18, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Robert McClenon
Please don't redirect my page "Hmong New Year" to the "Hmong Customs and Culture" article that is already accepted in Wikipedia, The free Encyclopedia pages. The problem is that there is no "sources" cited in Hmong Customs and Culture for Hmong New Year. They wrote such as they know and feel. So, they have nothing as sources to support the Hmong New Year page that is under "Hmong Customs and Culture" article published in Wikipedia. From then on, please don't redirect my page to that article. I don't want to see people come to copy my content and put into the other wikipedia page. Duplicate and copy ideas are something that I don't like and to know.
When I read one of the sentences that is said "Hmong New Year celebrations frequently occur in November and December (traditionally at the end of the harvest season when all work is done), serving as a Thanksgiving holiday for the Hmong people. According to folklore and legends, Hmong New Year is traditionally held on the last day of December, and lasts 3 or 4 days", this looks like some of these have been duplicated from mine. Anyway, saying <Hmong new year celebrations frequently occur in November and December> is not true. It is not frequently, but depending on the harvest done. However, Hmong folk didn't know what is December and what is a date in my parent time before 1970, how could they Know last day of December? Old folk usually looked at the Moon that is called lunar, instead month. This is because Hmong hill tribes didn't know what a calendar is and also the date is.
Whatever, Hmong Customs and Culture article has no sources for Hmong New year page. They need to cite some to support their article. Again, I don't want to see people coming to duplicate or copy my sources to use them in other pages to support their articles.
Thank you.NruasPaoYPP (talk) NruasPaoYPP (talk) 18:44, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, do what you want. However, I have a question for you. It concerns the Wikipedia pages of the article That Luang Festival and Kuang Si Falls. What are the references/citations that allow you (Wikipedia correctors/advisors) to accept That Luang Festival and Kuang Si Falls in Wikipedia? In addition to that, why do they have the right to have a page for themselves. So, what are the reasons why you think they have enough reasons and arguments to be published individually in Wikipedia? Why is That Luang Festival not going to merge with the other festivals? What kind of references and what are the important reasons according to you that they meet the requirements of what Wikipedia recommends? For me, both articles have almost nothing as important as my page "Hmong New Year". Both pages have very few citations and references, why are they accepted? Explain to me?
That Luang Festival - That Luang Festival - Wikipedia
That Luang is the national symbol and most important religious monument of Laos. Vientiane's most important Theravada Buddhist festival, "Boun That Luang", is held here for three days during the full moon of the twelfth lunar month (November).
Kuang Si Falls - Wikipedia - Kuang Si Falls - Wikipedia
The Kuang Si Falls or Kuang Xi Falls (Lao: ນ້ຳຕົກຕາດ ກວາງຊີ), alternatively known as the Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, is a three-tiered waterfall about 29 kilometers (18 mi) south of Luang Prabang. The journey takes 53 minutes from Luang Prabang city centre. The waterfalls are a favorite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang, and begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside. These lead to the main fall with a drop of 60 meters (200 ft).
They are accessed via a trail to a left of the falls. The water flows into a turquoise blue pool before continuing downstream. The many cascades of Kuang Si are not typical of waterfalls, adding to the attractiveness.
The locals charge a nominal admission fee of 60,000 kip to visit the site. Most of the pools are open to swimming (although at least one is closed as being a sacred site) NruasPaoYPP (talk) 00:47, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So I shouldn't do this? If I name them, the Lao and the Hmong in this article, especially the people who live in Ban Muong Cha or Muong Cha, it is to let people know that there have been people who have lived in this village since the 1920s and 1940s until today, nothing else. I have not said anything bad to anyone, especially the Lao and the Hmong. If there had been no people living in this area, this place or this city, Ban Muong Cha, should not exist today. Moreover, I know this place well and also people from this village. I still have families who still live in Ban Muong Cha to this day. Personally, I lived there between 1970 - 1975 before leaving my country to come and settle where I live now. NruasPaoYPP (talk) 00:53, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I need help and arbitration for my Wikipedia article page "Hmong New Year". I just want to know how I can delete an article in Wikipedia? I have a Wikipedia page, and it is written by me. The problem is unfortunately about a misunderstanding between Hmong customs and culture with Hmong New Year or the New Year that Hmong ethnic people celebrate every year. I can understand that a non-Hmong born and a real Hmong have different understanding of each other, but to say that a cat is a dog, that can't be accepted. A cat is a cat, not a dog. Noddle is not an spaghetti, right? Check the Wikipedia pages, if you have any questions about this. Why did you merge the article I wrote about "Hmong New Year" with Hmong customs and culture? This is a case I can't accept. Spaghetti and Noddle each have their own page, although they are almost the same thing. Let's talk about food, I don't know why you accepted Cheese burger Wikipedia, Hamburger Wikipedia and Food Wikipedia separately in Wikipedia, although Cheese burger and Hamburger are also "Food"? Why not merge cheese burger and hamburger on the same page with the "Food" page? Why does Hmong New Year need to merge with Hmong customs and culture? What's wrong with that? It should be deleted or put on its own page. I need your suggestions and decisions to follow up. This is the linke page of Hmong customs and culture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hmong_customs_and_culture NruasPaoYPP (talk) 17:11, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you take a look at the article about "Kuang Si Falls"? I don't know when it was accepted? Anyway, the content of the article was little, just 4 or 5 lines. I remember it has a quote and some pictures. I'm sure you can check what I'm talking about, if you think I'm saying otherwise. My question is about this article, Kuang Si Falls, why wasn't it merged with Luang Prabang? I don't know what content there is that can give reasons to demonstrate that it could have its own page. I would like to have your opinion for the next articles. NruasPaoYPP (talk) 22:14, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
