Just a question

Hey I'm just wondering about the English titles of some television series articles you created, such as Xuanyuan Jian: The Scar in the Sky and Startling by Each Step. Are these the official English titles provided by the producers, or did you come up with them yourself by (directly) translating the Chinese titles? Note that if a Chinese television series doesn't have an official English title yet, and you want to create an article for it on the English Wikipedia, you'll need to use the pinyin transliteration of the Chinese title as the article's title. You can move it later when the official English title is announced. Thanks. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 12:10, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the Nightmare infobox because that is a page about the entire franchise, which is more than just films. More importantly, the franchise is built more around Freddy than the logo itself, which actually changed after the first film. So, yes the logo was unnecessary there. With Scream, you had 2 non-free images in the article, and it was about either using a basic logo, or using a full picture. If you want the logo, then whatever, put it back. But then you need to delete the other image because there is no rationale for using 2 non-free images that are basically the same thing. As for Smallville, its music is covered completely at Smallville#music. There is no justification for having 2 separate articles for the music because there isn't enough notability for the 2 soundtracks. I believe there were pages a long time ago, but they were merged back with the main article because they lacked notability.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:00, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Deletion

Your nomination of List of Startling by Each Step episodes was not complete; I think I've dealt with the missing steps. The instructions for AfD are at WP:AFDHOWTO and are quite fiddly. You may find it helpful to enable the Twinkle tool in your preferences, since that can make it easy. -- John of Reading (talk) 21:13, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NeoBatfreak. I removed the request you just added because you already requested it on December 25th. See WP:GOCE/REQ#Scarlet Heart. Smallville

I'm aware, it was announced awhile ago. It's also already mentioned in the article.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:53, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Only if the season becomes notable. Being in existence does not mean it is notable. Buffy Season 8 got a lot of publicity and reception and won a lot of awards. Smallville season 11 has not done anything yet. Plus, it's a digital comic, whereas Buffy was a paper comic. So, digital comics tend to get ignored a lot more.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:55, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
From my understanding, I thought they were going to release the digital comics as a trade paperback, like they do when they compile multiple issues that are all one single storyline. Either way, a page still requires meeting the GNG.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:02, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If what you put in Lois's article was your opinion and not directly stated in the comic book then it has to be removed.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:04, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The background info on the alternate reality Chloe is not relevant to that Chloe's page. The fact that she wasn't with Oliver doesn't impact the "real" Chloe, nor does it add anything.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:15, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have the faintest. Maybe they will say in a future issue.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:55, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Might make fans happy, since a lot do not consider Smallville a true version of the character because of all the departures from the comics.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:06, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. I own the entire series. I've been following it since the season 3 mid-season cliffhanger. "Shattered" was the first (partial) episode I ever saw, and I enjoyed what I saw so I bought the first 2 seasons that were on DVD and then later I bought season 3 before the premiere of season 4.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:13, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll get it when they release it into a trade paperback (or a hardcover if lucky). I don't like reading issues once a month. I find it more productive to wait and read an entire storyline in one shot.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:17, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If the comic did not specifically state that she was coming back, then you can't because it's your assumption.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:14, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's no problem. Thanks.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:45, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly did you want me to look for on the Green Arrow page? As for the comic book box, it's cool. I'm not sure we need to list all of the writers, but at the moment it's not an issue because it's a collapsed box.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:41, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Darkness Falls (2003 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brian Tyler (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Edit summaries

Edit summaries are useful in helping other users understand the edits you've made on an article. I notice you don't have a habit of writing edit summaries, but it's good to start now. You can use HotCat to add categories to pages. It's easy to use, and generates an automatic edit summary. Some people, like me, have a lot of pages on their watchlists. It can be really tiring to look through edits done by other users on every single page, especially when they make simple edits such as adding categories or correcting typos, but do not leave edit summaries. Categories for history of Manchuria in film, etc.

Hi,

I see that you created Category:History of Manchuria on film, Category:History of Manchuria on novels and Category:Jurchen history on novels. In all three cases, the word "on" should be "in". I could nominate these at WP:CFD for speedy renaming. However, as there are so few members in these categories, it would be easier if you would set up replacement categories yourself, and tag the old ones with {{db-author}}. Let me know if you would like any help. – Fayenatic L (talk) 22:11, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but they are all in Chinese.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 15:46, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a bit of a read and my suggestion is that you take the article off the copy edit request list. It's going to be a virtual rewrite rather than a mere copyedit. I'll work on the episode summary as I translate from that site. Oh and you don't need to drop talk back msgs on my page, I've watch listed your talk page. Blackmane (talk) 23:17, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Can I ask, are you a Chinese American like me? Just wondering.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 00:11, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Chinese-Australian, although I prefer reading in traditional rather than simplified chinese. =) If you don't mind, I'm gonig to remove the article from the copy edit request list. I'll do a thorough translation and rewrite. Blackmane (talk) 08:59, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do whatever you like. Same here, that I prefer reading traditional chinese too, however I do not have a talent on translation, otherwise I would've done what you are planning to do. If you had difficulty reading simplified chinese from the source I sent you, you could converting them into traditioinal from Google translate.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 16:42, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yuh, that's what I was doing. I'll work on it some this weekend Blackmane (talk) 00:46, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've rewritten episode 5. Could you do what you've been doing each time I've rewritten an episode? We need to be careful not to add stuff in which was broadcast in the episode but wasn't written in the episode summary because it won't be properly sourced. Blackmane (talk) 20:05, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 05:32, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I proofread it, changed some things, though it is still mostly your work.

Some things to look out for:

  • Here on Wikipedia we do not use the double space after a period, we confine it to just one.
  • Although putting Italics on the name of a section heading is not wrong, when the other headings in that section do not have them, don't do it.
  • Try to elaborate on smaller things (You did this well).

--Schmeater (talk) 16:12, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well I personally liked the idea of Fixx. He was a bit of a Deadshot to Terry. They should have kept him instead of killing him off like that. Also, its not really retconning it since it never actually showed Fixx kill Warren and we just assumed. --Schmeater (talk) 01:49, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done - I've marked unreferenced sections and sub-sections with tags, and I did some restructuring to keep similar material together (Publication history), and retitled some of the sections and subsecs. I think the 'Character biography' section is a little too lengthy, but I'm not an expert so i didn't do any wholesale removal of text. The header / lead needs expanding. Rachel Dawes

One vandalism warning is not likely to result in a block. You might want to use proper templates so that the vandalism is recognized by anti-vandalism programs such as wp:huggle. For a list of templates, see Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace. Be careful with these, some of the changes to Rachel Dawes could arguably be done in wp:good faith. Hey, thank you for the support and the idea to create a Smallville Season 11 page, however i noticed there was already one that was deleted, i think that maybe for now it may be too soon, i will probably wait until they have completed 2 or 3 story arcs, that is unless you want to create it. --Powerful Lord (talk) 23:53, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Really? Thank you for the information, i will possibly work on that. --Powerful Lord (talk) 11:11, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, i know but that code is only what i took from the Season 11 page that was already deleted, i didn't make any change yet.

Speedy deletion contested: Category:Novels about rape

Hello NeoBatfreak, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Category:Novels about rape, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Instead, redirected to the category in question. That way, everything is found ... in translation. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Theopolisme :) 22:20, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jim Ward (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I wonder if this image still meets WP:NFCC, as Wikipedia encourages free content always. This image is no different from the theatrical poster. Also, there is a track listing with artists, same as the front cover of the soundtrack. If you concur that this image is too unnecessary, shall I tag it as {{db-g7}}? --George Ho (talk) 01:05, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's been 16 days, and I want your response on this soundtrack cover art, please. --George Ho (talk) 05:54, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... I wonder. Soundtrack cover art of The Full Monty was deleted per WP:FFD because it is no different from the trailer and the soundtrack consists of old songs BEFORE the film's release. Also, film soundtracks are discussed in WT:NFC. --George Ho (talk) 06:03, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

re:Proposal:List of The Dark Knight Trilogy characters

If you are going to make a suggestion like this, keep the discussion it in only one place. Use pointed from the other relevant article so that editors can find the centralized discusion.

I've change the sections on The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises talk pages to point to the one on the Batman Begins talk page.

Orphaned non-free revisions

Hi NeoBatfreak. Did you know that the template {{orphaned non-free revisions}} must be substituted? If you don't substitute the template, the items are not placed in any daily maintenance categories, and it's a lot harder to find files that require deletions. Speedy deletion nomination of Adaptations of works by Stephenie Meyer

If you didn't intend to make such a request and don't want the article to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Nolelover Talk·Contribs 04:00, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It looks fairly good to me. I made a minor copyedit. But if there's one thing I may suggest, I would suggest adding the creator credits to the two citations. I'd do myself, but I don't read that book. Hope that's helpful. Nightscream (talk) 06:08, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know that I have re-added Category:Operas set in China to the articles from which you removed it. That category is purely geographical, yours is a time + geographical and probably over-categorization given the very few articles in those "Operas set in X dynasty" categories, i.e. 1 or at most 2. There is scope for both categories to aid the reader. Voceditenore (talk) 08:18, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
