Carrion Fields articleI may know what this anonymous user is on about; the Carrion Fields article was deleted by consensus way back in 2005 due to a lack of notability. This was around the same time a similar article was also up for deletion, and at the bottom half of this discussion page references can still be found to the initial deletion of the Carrion Fields article. Apparently, someone has re-created it since then, yet indeed has failed to address any of the issues which caused the original article to be deleted. Malik047 (talk) 16:05, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Reconsideration of Geoffrey Bell (broadcaster).Hi Nancy, I want to see if you had viewed the new information on the page [1] I think there are many points which have not been addressed and significant information has been overlooked. I also think there are double standards going on. There are other lesser known New Zealand television personalities on here who do have pages, without nearly as many sources. Some examples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarke_Gayford http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drew_Neemia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooke_Howard-Smith http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amber_Peebles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dai_henwood What more do you need to approve a simple page? Deletion of 4WARD entry.Hi Nancy. The article about the European Research project 4WARD was deleted due to copyright infringement. However, there was (at the bottom of the page) a notice where it is stated that reproduction was authorized. Below is a copy of the text:

page deletionsThanks Nancy. --Docku: What's up? 15:40, 31 March 2009 (UTC) RES Alumni OrganisationHello, I'm new to Wikipedia and would like to add an entry about RES Alumni Organisation. I keep having problems with my article being deleted and redirected to the RES School entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RES_-_The_School_for_Renewable_Energy_Science). I based my entry on other Alumni Organisation that have Wiki entries: - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_School_of_Economics_Alumni_Association - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIESEC_Alumni_International The article is referenced, I removed links to the blog and stated the mission behind RESAO. What is the problem? All the best, Tmiklis (talk) 13:01, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I've read the Wikipedia standard thoroughly and there's nothing there about the three years time limit. As for the "subject of significant coverage in secondary sources", RESAO was covered in Icelandic media as well as others. In May there will be a publication about us in "Popular Science". We work on international and local level. For example now we cooperate with the 'selector festival' in Kraków to prepare action that will raise awareness of people to enviromental and energy issues. Tmiklis (talk) 15:47, 1 April 2009 (UTC) Marianne MaksirisombatI disagree about the deletion of Marianne Maksirisombat, and I think I made a decent argument on the talk page, however I don't disagree enough to create a fuss. If I had more sources now I'd have added them, however I think it's likely there will be more news articles in the future and I don't want to have to start over from scratch. I'm not sure how long deleted pages are saved for, so could I get a copy of what the page was so I can hang on to it for if/when their are more sources? Vicarious (talk) 03:55, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Google mapsI have permission from the Google program managers responsible for the April Fools jokes to post this content i.e. jokes and images. I can post the email giving me permission if desired. My interest is that the Google maps Cadie jokes were pretty funny and clever, but the maps feature intermittently comes and goes. I think the description needs a stable home. In case disclosure in necessary, I'm a Google employee, but I was not involved with the April Fools jokes, and was as surprised as everyone else. I thought this year's Cadie joke was really good, and worth documenting permanently, especially with the popularity Google can garner. I obtained permission before making these modifications. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Weihaw (talk • contribs) 07:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
B-MoneyI was hoping to have you reconsider the deletion of the page about "B-Money." He's one of the most famous people in Provo, Utah and all of the students at BYU love him. If it helps, he has YouTube videos that have over 100,000 views--that ought to demonstrate that he's more than just a random person. If you ask most students here about him they will have had an encounter and a funny story to tell. It's just part of student life here at BYU. So I was just hoping you'd reconsider. I know there have been articles about him in the paper and other authoritative sources. I was just wondering if you could give me some time to gather that information so we can have an interesting page for people to look at. The essay I uploaded was written by Sean Kelly (no relation to John) and you found the article on the internet and assumed I had simply copied it. Sean Kelly in fact gave me permission to use the essay on Wikipedia. I wanted to use it as it fully and clearly details John Kelly's interesting career. Please let me know why this is not allowed to be on Wikipedia. The essay was Sean Kelly's own original work and he allowed me to use it this capacity. Enbsmith (talk) 14:56, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

The reason was “edit war”. Unfortunately, the information that appears on Wikipedia at the moment is false and needs to be edited. Please note that Ms. Cloherty is a well-known professional. For her crystal reputation and experience she was elected to the Board of NYSE. Patricia’s profile as it appears at WIkipedia right now has numerous errors, namely: 1. Patricia M. Cloherty (born 1942) is a venture capitalist, and was the Chairman & CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners. – false Patricia Cloherty is Chairman and CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners as you can see from the company’s website (http://dpep.com/eng/who-we-are/team/index.wbp?team.root-node-id=982a0bf0-8e22-4bf7-8658-bb767b6d2edd) 2. DPEP manages not only The U.S. Russia Investment Fund but also Delta Russia Fund. Same website. 3. In an interview in [1]Private Equity International in December 2005, Cloherty stated that her track record for investing in Russia was 1.2 times multiple on capital invested which included 14 write-offs. – the quoted numbers are taken out the context. She said that in 2005 with the reference to 2004. The other user (Happy225) states them as of 2009, which is wrong. 4. Two notable exceptions were DeltaBank and DeltaCredit, under the leadership of James Cook, which had returns of 2735% IRR and 132% IRR respectively. The two above deals were completed in 2005 and November 2004 respectively, while James Cook was fired from the company in January 2004 and he has nothing to do with the deals. We believe that Wikipedia is a valuable source of information so it must provide its visitors with true information. We would appreciate if you could edit Patricia’s profile or let us do it. We would also be grateful if you could block user Happy225 from further vandalizing. Thank you in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilu123 (talk • contribs) 08:26, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
BrokeNCYDEThe page for the band BrokeNCYDE keeps getting deleted, but it would make a valid page. They are a pretty well known band, they have played on tour with bands like Every Avenue and Breathe Carolina, and they are scheduled to play at warped tour this year. They are also referenced in many other Wikipedia pages. They're page was deleted because it was considered insignificant or something but they are a very valid band. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Voldin (talk • contribs) 06:44, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Deleted Articles - Anael Tremblay and Bradfield WiltseI am still working on making these articles suitable. Believe me, these are not intended for advertisement so much as they are intended to provide as much information as possible. Anyway, I have a question about "reliable sources" for notability. These artists have been making albums since 1995, and have enjoyed some pretty moderate success as measured in the business. I do sort of know the composer, but as a fan and only through email exchange over this past year. The thing is, a lot of their notability material is tied up in trade mags and market listings (for instance, placing #1 one week on Amazon's New Age list, and being in the top ten of iTunes downloads - there is no place to actually verify this online or in any printed material; and being written about in trade mags that have since gone out of print - no way to look at it NOW to verify the source...) Anyway, I am working to make this entry acceptable. Do you have any knowledge about whether these tear pages I am able to use from the artists themselves (their own collection of their media coverage) qualify as reference material, despite the fact that they are not widely available materials? Also, does this sort of collection count as a "reliable source"? http://apsismusic.com/2007/index.htm (the press kit) - or does it disqualify it that it exists on the page of the artist, even though it is a collection of other people's reviews and interviews? Thanks! Usagi Jeshika (talk) 17:22, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

You state in your own information that you want to see good, verifiable sources referring to the importance of the group in question. The article contained just such a source - a review which was published in the Richmond and Twickenham Times newspaper and several other newspapers in the West London area. It also contained a link to the full article on the newspaper's web site. The review clearly indicated that the company and its work were significant. Just wondering why this was not deemed sufficient? Yours Peter Langdon Plangdon1 (talk) 13:31, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

These are not the only articles with nonsense speedy deletion requests by this user, e.g. [4], [5]. In [6] he is decorating an article with four tags, the tag "uncategorised" is wrong as the article is already categorized. In [7] he doubt the notability - for a person winnig a gold medal in a world championship. Is this vandalism or just collateral damage? --Ilion2 (talk) 09:13, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

I will be sending you plenty of other wikipedia about rugby articles of clubs that are posted in wikipedia. This is absolutely unreasonable my club's page gets taken down but other clubs who have made lesser contributions to the sport are allowed to stay on wikipedia. If you take ours down then logic should dictate that you will have to take the others down as well. Most of their citations are the same as the ones used by the Flint Rogues, in fact most do not have anything at all. Some even refer to their club websites as references. If that's the case, I can make that happen as well. I guess if a club is not the South Africa Springboks or New Zealand All Blacks, they are unworthy of being posted in wikipedia. I will be sure to send many other pages to you for deletion and if they are not, then it will be obvious that my club's page is being targeted unfairly. In regards to you comments about neutrality, I have a MA in history and am working on a PhD in the same field. I am pretty sure that qualifies me to have the ability to write neutrally about my club while being affiliated with the club at the same time. Your reasoning for that makes no sense as an author generally produces the best work about a topic they have knowledge of and are passionate about. At no time in the article do I state that the Flint Rogues are the be all and end all of rugby in Michigan and the US but the fact remains that the club is recognized as a leader and champion of the sport in Michigan and the Midwest region. I am sorry that the Midwest Rugby Territory and USA Rugby do not state this on their websites but the fact that the club is well sponsored by a major corporation and is in its 38th year of existence speak for itself in this regard. Jasonschilling6 (talk) 14:50, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Jasonschilling6
I have no idea of what copy right violations you are talking about. The club logo and uniform are property of the club and are therefore eligible for use. The Budwesier and flag logos used in the article were taken from wikipedia, so I would assume that they were uploaded legally. If the logos are club property and loaded appropriately, there should be no copyright violations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonschilling6 (talk • contribs) 18:53, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Patricia Cloherty entryNancy, I'm the original poster of what started as a stub on Patricia Cloherty, and frankly I am puzzled by all the fuss over this entry. I wrote she was internationally known-- well she was appointed by President Clinton and awarded the Russian Medal of Honor so this was well documented, not opinion. She has now left Delta and has a new position as can be verified here -- big deal. I would update it, but why bother, I am trying to help, not engage in a fight. Look at the original stub -- this was an attempt to create information on a notable woman, nothing more, nothing less. Anyway, the entry should be updated by someone. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pfrishauf (talk • contribs) 21:36, 28 May 2009 (UTC) Patricia Cloherty was fired from her position at Delta Private Equity and is no longer working there. Your assistance please...On December 25 2008 I requested the userification of Mike Moran (firefighter) -- an expired {{prod}}. You can see my request here. The record shows you deleted the userified article, User:Geo Swan/review/Mike Moran (firefighter), a few hours later, as a "user request". I am trying to maintain a record of when I request deletion of articles I started, and why I requested deletion. My records don't indicate my requesting deletion of this one. Possibly, after it was userified, I looked at it, and decided it didn't really merit work after all, and put a {{db-author}} on it. That would be human error on my part to have failed to record that request. It occured to me however that maybe, when it was userified it still had the deletion tag left on. So, I would appreciate you checking the revision history, and verifying that I did add a deletion tag, after the article was userified. If it is not too much trouble I would be grateful if you let me know when I started that article. Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 12:19, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Another Canal du Midi pageNancy: Would appreciate your taking a look at my latest Canal du Midi type page Bassin de St. Ferréol. It had previously redirected to Lac_de_Saint-Ferréol. We had talked before about having a page of canal du midi Structures. Rather than a page, how about doing a category and include such things as Fonserannes_water_slope, Ouvrages_du_Libron, and Bassin_de_St._Ferréol and whatever else there might be besides the locks? I guess locks could/should be included as well. On another subject, my Sea to See book, by Rolt, has a great drawing of the St Ferrol Dam, can I scan it in and store it in WikiMedia? How in the world would you get permission to do that? Or, is it better to do it and then ask for forgiveness later? GloverEpp (talk) 14:40, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

However it was a page about a committee of the government. [here] Here is what was written on it when I go to edit it and it is empty Warning: You are recreating a page that was previously deleted. You should consider whether it is appropriate to continue editing this page. The deletion and move log for this page are provided here for convenience: 08:15, 31 March 2009 Nancy (talk | contribs) deleted "Standing Committee on Mental Health and Additions" (G12: Blatant copyright infringement of http://www.ontla.on.ca/web/house-proceedings/house_detail.do?Date=2009-02-24&Parl=39&Sess=1&locale=en#P454_146606 Note: copyright notice on site states "for non-commercial use only")
Do you know which page I am referring to? It was about a Standing Committee of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Please get back to me so we can discuss it and so I can learn. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Afterfostercare (talk • contribs) 02:04, 13 September 2009 (UTC) Afterfostercare (talk) 02:08, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
List of DictatorsI declined a speedy as copyvio, and said I was considering the other factors (by which of course I meant the repost) You then chose to delete it while I was writing a discussion of the history of it. of repost. I was about to say on the talk p., which you also deleted, that
This article had initially survived an AfD in 2005 as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of modern day dictators. An AfD in 2006, as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of dictators , was closed as delete by Docg as inherently POV because of the title regardless of the contents; Doc G deleted a recreation under the title List of dictators on January 4, 2007. I am not sure the arguments in 2006 would be accepted today, 3 years later. I am asking doc whether he would like to redelete followed by my request for a deletion review, or send again to AfD, at his option. I am not personally sure how I would !vote at a 2nd AfD. Most of us do not like to have an admin action reverted while one is in the process of writing the justification for it. But, of course, even after a speedy is declined, it can be re-speedied under a different reason, such as the one you gave. I nonetheless think it might be viewed as discourteous to proceed as you did without checking with me, since I was obviously online, so I assume you did not see my edit summary that I was considering the re-creation--which took more than a minute or two,as i was reading the various restored versions nd afds and G4 summaries.. Obviously, the community must settle this, so to simplify the procedure I am sending it to deletion review. DGG ( talk ) 15:38, 24 September 2009 (UTC) New article for the CdM -- User:Gloverepp/testNancy: would you check this article out before I move it into the public area. I have several references that may not be completely correct. Also, should I name the site épanchoir_à_siphon with the accents or epanchoir_a_siphon without? It seems like not using the accents would help with searching. Which words should be capitalized? See it at User:Gloverepp/test thanks GloverEpp (talk) 18:23, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Nancy: I'll try to use all of your suggestions and let you know when I have moved it. As to your statement above "...Also in my copy of Sea to Sea the caption for the drawing in the article credits M. Garripuy as the designer...." Are you saying that Garripuy's first initial is M? I assumed the M stood for Monsieur. GloverEpp (talk) 19:58, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Nancy: It's in place at Siphon_sluice along with the two redirects. I had to choose between syphon and siphon. Siphon seemed to be the spelling most often used. I assume you have a watch on this page so that I don't need to give you a tb. I'm still trying to understand this communication device. thanks again. I'll be in touch GloverEpp (talk) 14:31, 29 September 2009 (UTC) Reconsidering Deletion of an articlePlz reconsider the deletion of the article at because wiki have no info about Kunal Singh now eventhough he acted in some superhit movies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alan.idea (talk • contribs) 03:32, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
That was 16 months ago. Whatever it was then, Necromandus is now an article, not a redirect. Would you please consider removing semiprotection? This is part of my large scale review of all longstanding indefinite semiprotections. --TS 10:12, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Please "userfy" Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, which I have just written to replace a deleted articleDavid spector (talk) 23:55, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Nancy, I don't understand what "userfy" means. I was just doing what a template says to do. This should be a regular article, accessible to anyone, not an archived article under my name. David spector (talk) 00:29, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
New site for your experienced eye Cesse_aqueductThought you might have some info to help me out here: Cesse_aqueduct. I have no info on length, width, depth. Are there six aqueducts on the Canal du Midi? Cesse, Orb, Orbiel, Fresquel, Ognon, and Repudre? This place was a wonderful experience for me! GloverEpp (talk) 15:09, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Nancy Thanks. I ordered four CdM books today - couldn't wait till Christmas. I saw your WIP page. Hope you can use some of the links I'm building. Am working on the rigole of the mountains today. GloverEpp (talk) 17:27, 12 October 2009 (UTC) Photo for EITHER Ribassel or Argent-DoubleI finished these two aqueducts Ribassel Aqueduct and Argent-Double Aqueduct. I don't have much about them in my books and could find almost nothing on the www including the French wiki. I did find this great photo, but can't figure out which of them it might be. which is this? GloverEpp (talk) 19:01, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
What's going on w/ Shelby, MississippiNancy: I follow your contribs some time and am wonder struck by all that you do. Must say, I am impressed! Can you summarize for me, if it's worth your time, as to what in the world is going on w/ Shelby, Mississippi. You and M.D. have obviously crossed swords over the last year or so. It is amazing to me how you would even find out about this obscure site being vandalized. And, how do you recognize such subtle vandalism? Anyway, it's fun to watch you work. I've done my little 23 articles for the canal and hope to learn more by watching you. On another subject, the Washington Post had a front page article on the editor who works on the Washington, D.C., User:Epicadam. It was nice to see someone get credit for all that you editors do without seeking the credit. P.S. Is there a spell check here somewhere? GloverEpp (talk) 01:20, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Albawardi pageHello Nancy, Thank you for taking the time and reading my page. I created the page Albawardi Group purely for non-commercial use. This was my first ever artle to write on Wikipedia. I read the article for first timers and I hope I followed them correctly. Please allow me to post that article once again. If not, please specify what I did wrong so that I can correct it and be able to post the article again. Thanks again, Mishal —Preceding unsigned comment added by Baw1957 (talk • contribs) 06:39, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
StreatleyI was just wondering why you got rid of the bit in streatley about the new house that's causing runctions. It's a notable event (see [11],[12],[13], and the fact that one of the people leading the charge (and threatening to break the law) is notable herself peta buscombe - she's a public figure threatening civil and criminal damage. The planning site on the west berks website proved it was for Darryl Boulton [14]. Admittedly the Geri bit may be rumour - but it was in the sources quoted. I don't know how much more notable you want something to get before it should be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Petsco (talk • contribs) 12:19, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Deleting the pageI probably used the wrong template on User:KENs pudler. Do you know how to delete the user account or maybe rename the user account to something else? It's not the content on the page that's a problem, it's the user name. Nsaa (talk) 17:16, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
My article on Brett FletcherI've been trying to create this page for a long time - it keeps getting deleted. Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Mr. Fletcher has written several fascinating books, has his first one recorded in the Library of Congress, his poetry has been published internationally, etc...Am I adding things I shouldn't? Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thank you for your time. lchiniching —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lchiniching (talk • contribs) 07:45, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
What is La Robine on Template:Canal du Midi mapHi, me again. Do you know what La Robine is on the CdM template. It is in between La Nouvelle Branch to summit level and Truilhas Bridge. I walked the tow path in that area and have looked at satelite images and can't figure out what it is supposed to be. My best guess is that it is a marina. If so, it's position is misplaced. The marina is before the bridge, coming from Cesse Aqueduct. Here is the area I'm talking about. 43°16′54″N 2°55′08″E / 43.28177°N 2.91894°E The cross hairs are right on top of what I think is the Truilhas Bridge. Cesse aqueduct is to the left. The marina is very close to the bridge on the left and the entrace to Nouvelle Branch is to the right. Here are my photos, if that helps any:
