The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. The rule is that simply being a candidate does not, in and of itself, make a person notable enough to have a Wikipedia article — if they weren't already notable enough to have a Wikipedia article before they became a candidate, then they have to win the election to become notable enough. You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 05:58, 10 February 2014 (UTC) Tagging of Outline-Healthcare in PrishtinaYou tagged Outline-Healthcare in Prishtina for deletion as an empty article WP:CSD#A3. It consisted of a large number of headings and subheadings, but no body text. I am not sure if this actually satisfies A3, I don't recall it coming up before. As it looked to me like a draft in progress I have moved it to userspace and notified the page creator. What I want to mention to you, however, is that you did not, as far as I can see, notify the article creator of your nomination. If you use Twinkle or any of several other tools, such notifications can be done automatically. If you don't, a template call for notification is listed in the CSD template itself, nd can be easily copied and pasted onto the creator's talk page. It can avoid confusion when a creator, particularly one new to Wikipedia, learns that an article that s/he created was intentionally nominated for deletion rather than simply disappearing or failing to be saved. It can also educate new editors in the reasons for articles being deleted. So please, in future, notify creators when tagging pages for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thank you for reviewing the page I created about Sergio Andricaín! I will definitely work to make improvements. I was actually a little surprised to see that the page had been moved to the article namespace, however, since this was a page that I had been keeping as a userspace draft. Last December, Moe Epsilon edited the page to indicate that Persondata templates should not exist on userspace pages (as a new Wikipedian, I wasn't aware of this restriction; I'll be sure to comment out Persondata from future userspace drafts). Yesterday, Gaard van der Pol moved the page from my userspace to the article namespace, citing the same rationale. I really don't mind that the page was moved--it gives me more motivation to work on it--but I did find it surprising, since Moe Epsilon had already commented out the Persondata template using <nowiki> tags. RedPoint Global Ad FlagHi NHCLS. Thanks for the edits to the RedPoint Global page. You flagged it as an ad, but I wrote it as neutrally as I could, and cited any facts that I included. If there's anything in particular that stood out to you that you haven't already edited, I'd love your suggestions. I struggled with a couple of the industry terms and tried to find the right "technology bucket" for them using terms that have described other companies like them, so perhaps that terminology stood out. Or perhaps I dived too much into the history, but I tried to keep that brief and factual -- it seemed relevant for any stub article. Thanks! Vanhoosear (talk) 17:12, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
Valextra article "Sounds like an ad"I can't quite figure out why you decided to slap a "sounds like an ad" banner on Valextra. There is no hyperbole in what I wrote. The only content that could even vaguely be accused of "promoting" Valextra were quotes from articles in the NY Times and the Evening Standard; hardly organs of puffery. One of the two Times articles I cited stated that "Valextra's designs have been modernist and largely unornamented, and have a reputation for being aesthetically minimalist and discreet." What about that sounds like an ad? It's simply descriptive and in no way suggests that designs that are modernist, minimalist or unornamented are superior to those that are say, baroque or traditional, or ostentatious. Indeed, far from language typical of an advertisement, I wrote that Valextra's goods had undergone "...a gradual decline in prestige and quality..." Finally, the Wikis on the three competitors I mentioned (Goyard, Hermès and Louis Vuitton) contain at least as favorable content, such as this quote from Hermès: "Much of what bears the still-discreet Hermès label changed from the object of an old person's nostalgia to the subject of young peoples' dreams" (a quote attributed simply to "one observer"). If you have any specific objections to the content, feel free to post them on the "Talk" page. To slap a "sounds like an ad" banner is simply lazy and suggests bad faith.
