@Sphilbrick: I'm using the temporary Neelix speedy instead of using RFD to save a lot of time on the RFD. I only use the RFD if I'm not 100% sure if they should be deleted, or if there is an alternative target page. If you wish the temporary Neelix redirect should be stopped, that is fine with me. I think you are missing the point. A speedy still means you have to review the item, then nominate it as a speedy, then an admin has to assess it. Multiply by 18000. That's an enormous wastage of time. I want to stop the waste. @Sphilbrick: There's nothing else we can do though. If we make a bot to get rid of them, sure that will save a lot of time. However, a bot can accidentally delete redirects that are useful. Another idea would be to go through all of them, make a list of the ones that are not useful (with consensus), and mass delete them all at once with a bot? But don't want to deter you as it's needed work! If you could only include entries where you've really improved a lot of the source formatting, added a bit of content/copyedit etc I would appreciate that.
