May be of interestHi, started a discussion @ Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#Infobox- Teams managed regarding the Alan Wright infobox, thought it may be of interest to you whenever it gets some answers. As you can see my opinion on the matter but I'm open to be corrected. Regards Narom (talk) 17:34, 17 May 2013 (UTC) BentekeWell, when Benteke was born, it was Zaire not DR Congo. And was the same for 7 years after he was born. I don't think it's needed to repeat "Kinshasa, Zaire" in the body of the text because it's already in the infobox. How many competitions have been just "suspended" and it continues suspended forever? It's always better for the owners to postpone instead of admiting the end of their creations. In fact in last 2 weeks, NextGen organiser said again that there will be a competition soon, suported by the fact of teams like Fulham, but most of all Man. United being out of Champions League, an so out of Youth League. Ok, NextGen still not abolished, but one year after now, 2 years after, the competition will continue to be just suspended unless the organizers says "it's canceled"?Rpo.castro (talk) 20:51, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

George RamsayHello. When reading the Ramsay article, the first thing I noticed was the bit about how he joined Villa was missing, so the text didn't make any sense; I quickly bunged in some unsourced text so it would at least read OK. I've now added a source which should suffice. You're right, the article is sorely lacking in references – I'll see if I can come up with some more. After "seven years" or even a few days you should know the rules of not just Wiki but, well, the United States and other relevant jurisdictions. Wiki helpfully provides a warning regarding copyright violation on pretty much every page. You should read it. 2. References: this is how it is done, son. On online and terrestrial scholarly works. Books do not always have a "url." Yet despair not, there are these things called "libraries." Or you can use this thing I hear the kids tell about called the "internets" or something where you can, like, put in titles and authors and Amazon[Tm.--Ed.] or even The Googleplex links to books where one may purchase with monetary units or--Heavens to Betsy--arrange to have a local library borrow it from another library connected through this "internets" thing. Nevertheless, had you behaved as an adult and complied with the Kind and Measur'd in Manner and Speech request to ASK for SPECIFICS--oh noes! All caps! What about the children?!--you would have been provided with it. You did not. So I will not bother reading your the remainder of your temper-tantrum attempt to pretend you were not wrong and did not violate both Wiki rules and actual laws. Danny WelbeckYes, I would. You have no evidence that Welbeck was one of the 30 people who were given a medal. As I said to User:Govvy, I agree that the evidence suggests that he probably did, but there's nothing concrete either way, and without anything that explicitly states that he got a medal, I wouldn't consider him a winner. I don't know where you're from, but typically, in English football, one has to be involved in the final to be considered a winner. That's why Roy Keane doesn't consider himself to have ever won the Champions League. – PeeJay 13:05, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
The Szczesny link hardly qualifies for the argument in question either since he was a sub in the cup final, meaning he got a medal. Davefelmer (talk) 22:47, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

"Peacocking"Hello. Was honestly surprised by your edit summary... That piece of prose stemmed from a discussion now at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 103#Should we have duplicate records lists for clubs? about where why and whether to list friendly and minor honours, that drifted into the undesirability of excluding from an encyclopedia things like early County Cups because they aren't important now so never could have been. Which encouraged me to give context to the early County Cup win, when it was still a first-team competition. Sorry you thought it was "peacocking". cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:04, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
