User talk:MinissasourceSo what url did you use for this source on Persecution of Bahá'ís ? --Smkolins (talk) 02:13, 8 September 2013 (UTC) That's what I was asking Wiki's editorial staff for help with. At the time I noticed how old the statistics in Persecution of Baha'is were (late last May), I had fresh statistics in front of me from Anthony Vance, who heads the US Baha'i Office of Public Information/Affairs. I had talked to him a day or two before my post to Wiki to get up to date info for an article I was writing. I know Wiki has been discouraging primary sources, so I was asking what to do with an attribution of this sort where you know you've got accurate info from a primary source but it's so fresh it hasn't had time to make it into a cite-able secondary source yet. Places like HRANA have good info on individual incidents, but I've been trying to find a secondary source that summarizes this concisely and coming up empty. The statistics in the main section of "Current Situation" from Persecution of Baha'is are ancient. I would appreciate some guidance since you commented last time and are obviously conversant with the subject and the editor who reverted my entry is missing in action. (And I do accept responsibility for some of this since it took me till now to notice that when you're logged in, you get message icons. When I do post, it's often in fits and starts like this. My bad, but the situation for the Baha'is in Iran is becoming so grave I hate to see old statistics like this [20 Baha'is in prison, eg] sit languishing.) Thanks for responding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Minissa (talk • contribs) 03:58, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
