Hi, Signpost exit pollDear Wikipedian, you recently voted in the ArbCom election. Your username, along with around 155 other usernames of your fellow Wikipedians, was randomly selected from the 2000+ Wikipedians who voted this year, with the help of one of the election-commissioners. If you are willing, could you please participate (at your option either on-wiki via userspace or off-wiki via email) in an exit poll, and answer some questions about how you decided amongst the ArbCom candidates? If you decide to participate in this exit poll, the statistical results will be published in the Signpost, an online newspaper with over 1000 Wikipedians among the readership. There are about twelve questions, which have alphanumerical answers; it should take you a few minutes to complete the exit poll questionnaire, and will help improve Wikipedia by giving future candidates information about what you think is important. This is only an unofficial survey, and will have no impact on your actual vote during this election, nor in any future election. All questions are individually optional, and this entire exit poll itself is also entirely optional, though if you choose not to participate, I would appreciate a brief reply indicating why you decided not to take part (see Question Zero). Thanks for being a Wikipedian The questionnaireDear Wikipedian, please fill out these questions -- at your option via usertalk or via email, see Detailed Instructions at the end of the twelve questions -- by putting the appropriate answer in the blanks provided. If you decide not to answer a question (all questions are optional), please put the reason down: "undecided" / "private information" / "prefer not to answer" / "question is not well-posed" / "other: please specify". Although the Signpost cannot guarantee that complex answers can be processed for publication, it will help us improve future exit polls, if you give us comments about why you could not answer specific questions.
Detailed Instructions: you are welcome to answer these questions via usertalk (easiest), or via email (for a modicum of privacy).
We do promise to try hard, not to make any mistakes, in the processing and presentation of your answers. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact column-editor GamerPro64, copy-editor 75.108.94.227, or copy-editor Ryk72. Thanks for reading, and thanks for helping Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Portuguese vocabulary has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:59, 22 April 2016 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for May 5Hi. So it may be an invalid interpretation, or the source may not be reliable, etc but this really is not vandalism and "MALICIOUS edits" as you claim. I would advise you to address the claims, content and source and not the editors - They have stared a discussion on the talk page for this purpose. If now or in future you wish to report a sock puppet the correct place is Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations, however in this case moving from an IP to an account is not Sock puppetry and they have said they will continue with the account. Also to ask for a page to be protected you need to file a request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. To do both of these actions, and many more Wikipedia:Twinkle is a tool that make it easier. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 16:33, 21 December 2019 (UTC) Many thanks KylieTastic for your prompt response. It’s not that the materials are unsourced, they are misplaced and malicious- this topic is already sourced in the sub-topic ‘Genetics of the Iberian Peninsula’ which also contains a sub-sub-section specific to Portugal. This user and a couple of others seems to be obsessed with the topic. Subsequent to your message, the page has been protected. Best regards, Melroross (talk) 16:38, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Rather than include the entire abstract, or major portions of it, it's probably better just to summarize the most important points. I'll raise a question about this at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions and ping you. You added typographical errors (leagues to leagueiis), added unnecessary links to country names and an unused nowiki. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 20:02, 13 December 2023 (UTC) LinksWhat for YOU may be considered 'unnecessary ', is not necessarily the case for most. I attempted to manually edit it and it would simply not load, so you'd be doing your fellow editors a favour. — Matuko (talk) 15:44, 4 February 2024 (UTC) You and MelrorrossHello Melroross. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts to edit Wikipedia, such as Melrorross (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. It is scarcely feasible that the two of you are both editing assorted pages on Portuguese subjects, especially taking into account the series of edits the two accounts made on Flamenco in November. Please declare the connexion between the accounts on one (or preferably both) of your user pages; you should also only edit with one of these accounts, as they do not meet the criteria of legitimate sock use as shown at WP:LEGITSOCK. Happy days, ~ LindsayHello 16:28, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Conrad Theys
A tag has been placed on Draft:Conrad Theys requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.askart.com/artist/Conrad_Nagel_Doman_Theys/11074957/Conrad_Nagel_Doman_Theys.aspx and http://www.johansborman.co.za/artist-biographies/theys-conrad. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
