There are a LOT ofuserboxes that include pictures. Not all of them are in articles. Where are these pictures kept safe from deletion ? Thanks for showing me that ; i couldnt find any wikigeslation (wiki legislation) on userboxes. so basically i need to own the image cos the rules are stricter for userboxes than the simple article ones. btw how do you find out about people uploading pictures so quickly ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Machete97 (talk • contribs) 18:28, 31 March 2008 (UTC) intentional deletion? You deleted Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2008 March 21 as "G6: Housekeeping and routine (non-controversial) cleanup". I've never seen an IfD discussion be deleted before; much like AfD discussions I thought they were kept for the history of discussions. Is this a change in process, or an unintentional deletion? — pd_THOR | =/\= | 14:50, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Your deletion of Image:Books fishing for fun.jpgWhy was no notice of this given at the pages where it's linked? How was anybody supposed to know that it was proposed for deletion? Please restore the image and notify affected parties so people can dispute it, or correct whatever's wrong with it. It's completely unfair that images suddenly disappear before anyone has a clue there's an issue. (If the issue here was the lack of a fair use rationale, then you should have taken into account that when it was uploaded there was no such requirement. When was anyone supposed to have added one?) -- Zsero (talk) 13:24, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Rayman.jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rayman.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 02:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC) This might amuse you[1][2]. Terms of Use for Maps These maps may be used in reports, presentations, displays, and other uses as long as they are not altered. They have "watermarks" on them to remind users that these are for private use and not for distribution to others, either as printouts or as computer files, except as noted below. Permission You MAY print or post copies of the JPEG versions of these maps if (1) the copyright and "watermark" are not removed, (2) the graphic is not modified, and (3) no more than three SIL JPEGs are used in any one publication or internet site. Any other use requires prior written permission from SIL International. These maps may not be displayed on an internet site containing adult or other content objectionable to SIL International.
Thank youMany thanks for the help with the Romeo and Juliet on screen images. Very much appreciated. AndyJones (talk) 15:20, 4 April 2008 (UTC) Fair use reduce on Image:RickRoll.jpgI have reverted to the original version of Image:RickRoll.jpg, which you replaced with a downscaled version of in accordance with {{Fair use reduce}}. The problem with the smaller version is that it makes the text in the image completely illegible. I believe you and Bkell may be misinterpreting the "low resolution" requirement of fair use. For a discussion, see Template talk:Non-free reduce#Gross_misunderstandings_of_Resolution. In this particular case, the video screen shot is already degraded, so its number of pixels is not relevant, and the text cannot be "reduced" without destroying its usefulness. Please let me know if you have any questions / comments. Thanks. —dgiestc 20:26, 4 April 2008 (UTC) Image QuestionHey Melesse, I have a question for you. Is there a way you can undelete this image? I'm not sure if Wikipedia saves files that are deleted or not. I didn't catch it being deleted - if I did, I would have fixed the licensing on it. Thanks --Dan LeveilleTALK 23:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC) Your edits to Image:Lark Rise Virgin Records.jpgThanks for your help with getting the page right. This was one of my early attempts and in need of fixing (not that my recent one are much better...) --Old Moonraker (talk) 06:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC) All the images i have used so far is being diplayed in a separate page (User:Shivaji Mitra/LesTout.com) as requested by Admin עוד מישהו. Should I add the {{not orphan}} in all the images? Non-free use disputed for Image:NYPD-Blue-tv-03.jpgThanks for uploading Image:NYPD-Blue-tv-03.jpg. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.) If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 03:14, 10 April 2008 (UTC) Image:Yahoocom.jpgI have tagged Image:Yahoocom.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted.
