Residential GatewayI reverted your edit on Residential gateway because I do not believe "home computer networking device" is the correct term. Should just be "home networking device". Remember we are dealing with a very broad term here in "residential gateway". It doesn't necessarily have to be a networking device that serves a typical computer. Could be one for your WIFI enabled phone or whatnot. JeremyWJ (talk) 02:09, 31 January 2009 (UTC) I see your point. Would it better if the term networking was linked to [LAN]? I'm going through articles that wikilink to Networking/Network, which is a disambiguation page, and then putting in a direct link. Mattg82 (talk) 02:22, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
AD&D 2E monster tablesThanks - I like the look of the expanded tables better, but it's much more navigable to have them collapsed. BOZ (talk) 22:47, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
RowspanIt's fine as long as you apply to the whole article, not part of it. Qampunen (talk) 22:49, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Now that you added rowspan, it is impossible anymore to sort the table by any column other than the date it is already ordered on. So if I want to find all players who moved from or to, say, FC Barcelona, I have to go through the whole article and look at every row, instead of spending 1 second to click on the little icon in the "Moving from" column header. Really? Geregen2 (talk) 17:47, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
List of RAF aircrew in the Battle of BritainThank you for your work on the List of RAF aircrew in the Battle of Britain. I do have one question though; with the collapsable tables, how does one edit a single section without editing the whole page? Your advice with this matter would be appreciated. Arthur T. Denzau - CSD on copyvioThe text match was good, however Wayback on the university site shows that the link to the bio page (the bio page being a pdf is not archived) appeared in March 2007, suggesting that they copied the data from here, as it was already here in January 2007. So I have removed the CSD tag. Ronhjones (Talk) 02:29, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Hello! You were recently involved in an AfD discussion regarding the article KSM (band). I just updated the page and was hoping for some honest feedback. Note that I am not a fan or in any way connected to the subject, but I am rather new to Wikipedia and this is my first “blind” rewrite. Comments, criticism, and advice are all welcome. Of course, please do any additional editing to improve the article if you can. Thanks in advance. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 20:32, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Article Rural Khmer HouseHi Mattg82 We are new in Wikipedia and tried to write the article Rural Khmer House. We tried to do a good job and to follow the guidelines. Now, we have these issues:
For issue 1): we do not know where or how to cite it. We are the source, namely: - Peter Truog, Raben, CH-7000 Chur, Switzerland, lunamedpt@bluewin.ch - Aldo Menegon, Rüfiweg 7, CH-7204 Untervaz, Switzerland, menegon@spin.ch For 2) ... 4) We will work on it. How many time do we have to approve it? Or will the article be deleted? Thank you for your help! Mattg82 (talk) 17:39, 22 December 2009 (UTC) prod of Misha'el KheshinI have removed the {{prod}} tag from Misha'el Kheshin, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! RayTalk 04:31, 28 January 2010 (UTC) SourcingIt's great that you're adding sources to unsourced articles, but I question whether adding a single reference - the first you come across on Google Books or Google News - and leaving the rest of the article unsourced and unedited is a good way to go about it. Fences&Windows 01:01, 31 January 2010 (UTC) Thanks! Thanks for moving WikiProject Unreferenced articles to the new name. The consistency will help folks long into the future, and although tedious maintenance is a somewhat unglamorous job, know that it is well appreciated! Thanks!!! --18:20, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Tag changeHey Matt, in this edit you changed from {{Refimprove}} to {{unreferenced}} I am not sure why. There is a primary reference Official Website and secondary reference Live set List information on the article. I changed it back to {{Refimprove}} and added {{nofootnotes}}, I could have done more and formatted the references in the article body (third paragraph of History) and added a reference section, but choose to encourage other editors with the footnotes tag instead. Jeepday (talk) 11:17, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Unsourced BLP tagHi Mattg82. I saw you have been changing some template:Unsourced tags to template:BLP unsourced tags. You were entirely right to do so, but I thought a bot was set-up to change unsourced tags on articles marked as living people to the BLP unsourced tag (like the bot adds dates). That is the only reason I didn't bother adding them that way in the first place. Novaseminary (talk) 17:40, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Removal of PROD from To Die For (song)Hello Mattg82, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to To Die For (song) has been removed. It was removed by Michig with the following edit summary '(deprod - the single reached #42, there's an NME review, and the artist's page probably shouldn't have been deleted)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Michig before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. I managed to source the only legitimate image of Marie F on flickr from Mr. Evensson here as you know: File:Marie_Fredriksson_by_Thomas_Evensson_(1987).jpg Anyway, I managed to find the exact date of the photo: August 5, 1987 after I contacted him today here: [1] . (I entered in this info today for her Commons picture. He licensed it freely without a 'Non-Commercial' restriction just this one time for Marie's wiki page) I wish my record keeping was as impeccable as his! From my previous contact with him last year, he said he manages Per's web site: www.gessle.com and the Daily Roxette. Evensson also donated an image for Per's Gyllene Tider band's wiki article. Without him, there would be no images of Marie or Per here which would be a disaster. I had checked and rechecked on flickr and only his images of Marie F were definitely taken by him. He even says so in the metadata. All the rest...were just flagrant copy vios. It is nice to see an image of Marie before she became famous. With kind Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 05:47, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Record SalesHi, I see you changed Roxette's record sales down to 60 million. Reading the cited sources, I think the articles mention just the album sales excl. singles. According to Roxette's official bio on www.roxette.se they sold over 55 million albums and 20 million singles. www.emimusic.de/roxette has 45 million albums and 25 million singles in their Roxette Hits bio. Pumadog (talk) 11:56, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Mattg82, thanks for your response! The problem with all the sources is, to my knowledge (talks with industry insiders) they all depend on info from the record labels. And even they have to estimate the sales partly, because there's still no global sales counter for all the local branches. So I think the article for all artists refer to numbers like this, for example the total sales for the Beatles or Michael Jackson vary very much. Now Roxette looks quite poor in comparison to other artists fantasy numbers. ;-) So maybe it's wise to write something like "sales between 60 and 80 million records, according to different sources"? If you like, join the "Roxette on Wikipedia" discussion I started recently for this matter at Run2Roxette forums! I disagree with your opinion that "Penina" is a non-notable song. I think that most Paul McCartney songs are notable. In Wikipedia there are examples of album tracks, which did not chart. At least, why didn't you include it in the Articles for deletion-list, so other Wikipedia-users could discuss it and let their opinion be heard? The information about the song could be transfered to the album article "The Songs Lennon and McCartney Gave Away" Mbakkel2 Jan 15. 2010 21:40 (CET)

Lacking access to deleted edits, I cannot comment on the content of the article. I can only say that this seems to be incredibly bizarre and not in keeping with normal AfD procedure. I'd like to hear your take on the matter, but barring some sort of inarguable rationale I feel obliged to take the matter to deletion review. Note that I am not challenging your rationale (WP:NALBUMS), but rather saying that, as someone who can't see what the article was or was about, there's no way of determining whether that rationale was valid. In the absence of discussion, I feel a summary deletion is unwarranted. Throwaway85 (talk) 07:35, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
List of best-selling music artistsNow that we have the certified sales for all of the artists, should we consider listing it at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates? Peer review limits changedThis is a notice to all users who currently have at least one open peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review. Because of the large number of peer review requests and relatively low number of reviewers, the backlog of PRs has been at 20 or more almost continually for several months. The backlog is for PR requests which have gone at least four days without comments, and some of these have gone two weeks or longer waiting for a review. While we have been able to eventually review all PRs that remain on the backlog, something had to change. As a result of the discussion here, the consensus was that all users are now limited to one (1) open peer review request. If you already have more than one open PR, that is OK in this transition period, but you cannot open any more until all your active PR requests have been closed. If you would like someone to close a PR for you, please ask at Wikipedia talk:Peer review. If you want to help with the backlog, please review an article whoe PR request is listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog/items. Chatham VaseHi, I noticed you redirected the Chatham Vase article to Chevening. You are far more experienced in these matters than me, so I'd appreciate the reason. I would have thought that in merging or redirecting, there should be no loss of information, but not only is the Chatham Vase not mentioned in the Chevening House article (only a photograph, which was first used in the Chatham Vase article), but the history of the vase, its connection to the Prime Minister, the inscription, and the accurate geotag have been lost. When you recently edited Tupele Dorgu, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages The Mirror and Doctors (TV series) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. New suggestion at the List of best-selling music artistsHi, I know you're not active nowadays on wiki but if you see this message, I have a new suggestion on raising the bar on the required certified sales. Let me know what you think about it here. Thanks.--Harout72 (talk) 15:50, 17 October 2012 (UTC) Removing Orphan tag with AWBI notice on Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage under your name that you are active removing tags using AWB. I have been trying to get this to work but have not so far succeeded. How do you get AWB to check for links to a page and remove the orphan tag? --Traveler100 (talk) 06:07, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

So, we want your opinion to a WP:ORPHAN related matter. It is a proposal by Technical 13. Please have a look here. Your opinion (i.e support, oppose etc) are very much appreciated there. Thank you. By Jim Cartar through MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 03:02, 6 April 2014 (UTC) Backlog driveHello Mattg82, WikiProject Orphanage is holding a month long Backlog Elimination Drive to de-orphan articles which have orphan tags! Awards will be given out for all editors participating in the drive in the form of barnstars at the end of the drive. To add your name in the participants list click here. deOrphaning scriptHello everyone! I was just working on responding to a couple bug reports for a script that I worked up as part of a request from this project, and I noticed that only a couple people (who weren't even on this mailing list) are actually using the script. A little history on the script: In March of 2014, Jim Cartar came to my user talk page and said he needed some help in acquiring a script for a backlog drive that he was working on that could keep track of and score deOrphanings for a scored backlog drive. I took that request to the project's talk page (BackLog Drive "DO" (De-Orphaning) script proposal) and there was near unanimous support for this. I thought about the proposal and decided the best way to do it was to build a new script (which is still no where near as comprehensive as Manishearth's OrphanTabs) and build into it a mechanism that will make BLD scoring easy. What I'm wondering at this point is, since there appears to be only two people using the script, should I continue to develop this script with a goal of using it for scoring BLDs or just debug the existing script and leave it at that. Thanks for any replies or comments. So I understand which is reliable source of not, let me tell you that we already use CBS News as source for Genesis and I put tribune democrat to make the source more variable in the list. And if you think the daily telegraph is reliable. you should READ THIS http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/9450131/Singer-Adele-babysits-for-a-strangers-child-at-high-street-cafe.html adele sold 21 album around 220 million?, we should avoid any source from the telegraph. I see telegraph often cited from Wikipedia for artists sales claim. Thanks Politsi (talk) 14:42, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
