Neal Asher photo

Hi QuiteUnusual, you undid the photo upload I did for Neal Asher.

Here's the tweet where the author states their desire to have this phoot replace the existing one on Wikipedia - I thought this should be enough (and did flag this in the commons upload)

Please follow the instructions on the image at Commons. A tweet is not sufficient - the author has to specifically release the image under an appropriate license. As the author did not perform the upload, we need an email from them with the permission sent to the email address specified (look at the image and you'll see the instructions). The message you received was from the removal of some vandalism in June 2012. As you are editing without being logged in, you will occasionally receive messages that are not intended for you (they will be for other people using the IP address). This may well be the case with the four month old message you've just received. If on the other hand you made the edit that was removed in June, then if you follow the link provided in the message you will I'm sure see that what was removed was clearly vandalism and I would ask you to refrain from doing it again. I do not understand what is wrong with my submission????

It stated that I violated copyrighted work on www.yellowfish.co.za

www.yellowfish.co.za has a copyright notice saying "all rights reserved". This means the material is copyright and cannot be copied to Wikipedia. If you own the copyright of the source material, then you will need to provide evidence that you are the owner as well as agreeing to license it under the Wikipedia site licenses. Comment on deletion

You invited me to comment on your removal of a link I put to an article. The link appears to me to be valuable to readers of an Encyclopedia as it goes to the main web source of authoritative information on one of the subjects touched on by the article. However, I do not have time to argue with you. Your activities as a deleter of links persuade me to read Wikipedia, but not attempt to edit it! Studymore (talk) 10:33, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

The link in question does not seem to meet the standards defined, you can read more in WP:ELNO. Also, it was tagged automatically as being a potential conflict of interest as the URL matches your username. Promotion of one's own website is similarly discouraged.
