Arborsculpture
Can you give me an opinon on the arborsculpture page ? I'm will be backing off due to a conflic of intrest. The editor who changed the page to a book page also has a conflict of intrest. Do you think the page should be deleted moved or improved ?

Discussion is always a good thing to do for a start. I don't think the subject matter itself may be non-notable to actually be deleted, but one sure way to improve the accuracy of the article is to add reliable, independent third-party sources whenever you can find them. On the 'book page' it should be under another article name (say Arborsculpture - Solutions for a Small Planet) if notability can justify it, in any case should not take over this existing page entirely. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 06:41, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello; I noticed that you're up and around. Perhaps I need a second opinion on a matter that's probably very simple, because I may be biased. Take a look at the edit history of Katerina Jebb -- it's very short and simple till today, 7 May. Then look at my sole edit and what happened thereafter. What should one attempt, and how should one attempt it politely? Perhaps you could do it, rather than asking me to do so. Unless somebody else beats you to it, of course. -- Hoary 12:13, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Article: "Someone Tell Sam Jackson He's My Bro"
Hello Mailer Diablo. I see that you made the editorial decision to delete the above titled article. I read the debate. The argument was "vanity". That is not the case. This was a good article of public interest. Here is why: the fellow that did this parody achieved international fame as a result. His YouTube handle is DCLugi. He is actor Dave Coyne. This viral video was pirated from YouTube and has been seen millions of times around the world. Go check it out. That seems to be more than "vanity" to my eyes. I did not write the article, but directed people to it only to find it deleted. I was going to sign up and edit the article. Turns out that Dave Coyne ended up invited to the premiere or the film by Sam Jackson and is featured in the documentary section of the DVD! I think that is inspirational for all of the fledgling actors/producers on YouTube and the like. I believe that you should restore the article because it is worthy as not only a reference, but example what can be accomplished at the price of an effort. I would like to hear your thoughts if you have time. My email is OneSong at AOL dot com and my name is John Charles. Regardless, I enjoy Wikipedia a great deal. I saw a bit about it on TV and it is amazing. I hear that there is a lot of criticism about article authenticity and validity. Personally, I think that the criticism is not right because it is a work of passion for the editors from what I understand about "wiki" and, as such, will in the end provide a clear take on reality instead of "fictional" history! Have a Wikipedistic Day! 209.247.21.181 09:39, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Gianna Distenca
I see that you closed the survey on Gianna Distenca's page. Most who voted for its deletion also voted for the page to be prevented from being re-created a possible fourth time. Did you not fully protect it because you felt it didn't need to or is it impossible to do so? ~I'm anonymous
Read this here, I'm pretty sure salt meant protect it. ~I'm anonymous
Thanks. Believe me, it needed to be protected from being re-created. If Gianna Distenca made more notable appearances on television, then I see no reason why she should not have an article on Wiki. Comprende? ~I'm anonymous
Massacres in Peloponnese
Hi, as i said in the deletion request page i cant see why this article should be deleted and nobody gave any answer to that simple basic question in there, then sorry but i cant understand the purpose of current deletion of it by you.It was already deleted once and then recovered. i provided enough material for the reality of massacres, scanned the pages of quotes, and even Future perfect at sunrise who previously deleted the article convinced to its reality..
I think the subject matter do desevre to be decently mentioned..--laertes d 19:33, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
The image was used on multiple articles when you deleted it. Since the image is tagged and used, I undeleted it upon the creator's request. Next time check the backlog carefully before you delete images as a collateral action of article deletions. If there is a problem feel free to contact me. --Deryck C. 05:59, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Pliston
Hello. A few days ago you closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pavilion City. Co-nominated was the article Pliston which you did not delete and the article now has an AfD tag linking to a closed debate. I suppose you simply forgot but in any case, it should be deleted or re-nominated for AfD. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 02:31, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
how to contribute to WikiProject Palestine
Hello,
I am currently a volunteer at Karama, Deheishe refugee camp. We are trying to get ourselves known on the net, and Wikipedia is an excellent opportunity. I have been able to edit some information on the English Wikipedia. I was wondering, how can we include Karama on the category of Palestinian charities??
Feel free to contact me at b.m.leung@hotmail.com
Thanks,

Delete Harry Shapiro
I cannot debate that the article should likely be kept, but there were a few suggestions (mine included amongst them) to tone the title down from "American Criminal." Was that given any consideration in your decision, and if not, could you shed some light on the matter? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 990Jim (talk • contribs) 17:49, 10 May 2007 (UTC).
If possible, I would like to see the article "Camp Mendocino" undeleted.
Excerpt from deletion notice:
22:22, 15 January 2007 Mailer diablo (Talk | contribs) deleted "Camp Mendocino" (Proposed deletion expiring after 5 days, 9/1/2007)
I'm not sure why it was deleted. Camp Mendocino belongs to a non profit organization, is very traditional, and has existed since the 1930s. If the article requires changes, please let me know.
Just a courtesy call to let you know that I've undeleted this. There was a valid article in the history, but some fool overwrote it with an article on a nobody, and you speedied it as an A7. Hesperian 12:51, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

ryan johnson -- deleted text
Hi. Thanks for dealing with the AfD on Ryan Johnson. If you don't mind, would you please email me or put on my talk page the content of the deleted article? If I'm not mistaken, it's acceptable to put some summation of the content page into the list of Iraq war resisters. E.g., I could import the references and brief description. (If that's forbidden, please let me know.) HG | Talk 15:01, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Daughters Of Mara
Hi,
I left an entry for a band that was recently signed to Capitol Records and it has been taken down. I admit that this is the first entry that I ever left on Wikipedia and I now am aware that there’s a lot to be learned on the submissions process. However, I'd like to get permission for the entry that I left (or a portion of it) back on to the site. The band's name is Daughters of Mara and I know that everything I wrote was factual. If you could please let me know what I can do to make that happen, I'd appreciate the help. I've read the deletion comments and the rules and still have a hard time understanding why this is considered a "vanity piece" or a "crystal ball". Please let me know what I need to do so I can be on point for this and any subsequent entries that I help to contribute to in the future.
I am glad I checked the posting for Induced dyslexia so that I discovered before May 20th that you had deleted it.
I am new to contributing to Wikipedia so that I am not sure of the procedures to make sure that there is proper validation and verification of posted items.
The basis for my posting was a personal discovery as to why I was having a horrendous difficulty understanding text material for about a 5 year period. When I got new progressive glasses with a "corrected prescription" after 4 years, I also got reading glasses to wear while at work and while using my computer. About 6 months ago thanks in part to the "Cambridge spelling sample" I discovered that the loss of comprehension problem was from the effect if the reduced peripheral vision inherent in progressive glasses.
I am currently working with the Chairman of the Ophthalmology Department of Emory University to see if they can provide additional documentation and cases of this vision problem. He is very aware of the reduction of peripheral vision that is inherent in progressive glasses. In most cases, however, the wearer realizes the debilitation of progressive glasses and gets either bi-focals (which I now have) or tri-focals without bothering to analyze or understand the mechanics of the problem. I seem to be unique in thinking that the vision problem I was having was internal or emotional rather than because I was wearing the wrong glasses. It seems that I failed to understand the difference between being able to see the "Big E" and comprehending what I was reading. I also failed to understand the optician’s priorities for satisfying most patients was that they "look good" rather than their being able to "see well."
If you will let me figure out how to add proper additional documentation, I would greatly appreciate having the article re-posted.
Thank you,
Allan Hytowitz

Falling Apart
Hello. I'm fairly new to Wikipedia so I hope I am leaving this message in the right place. I saw that you decided to delete an article I'd written [ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falling_Apart_(novel) ]. I was surprised by this - despite the fact that the novel in question is no longer in print, Jacqueline Wilson, the author, is very popular in the UK and I felt that my article gave an insight into her earlier work.
Therefore I am requesting that the deletion is reconsidered. I hope this is the correct place to do so.
The other users contributing to the deletion discussion had made the following points:
Apparently it was 'not much more than a plot summary'. In this case, I would like to know how I could have made the article more suitable for Wikipedia.
Another comment was: "Article does not have sources to establish real world context. Unless they are found during the AFD the result should be delete". I have looked around to try to understand what this means, but I'm struggling - could you explain it in plain English, please?
I see the article on violentization has been deleted. I routinely refer people to it (not often enough, apparently) and it is referenced by numerous websites. Violentization is an important concept and deserves a place in Wikipedia. Why was it removed and can it be restored?Berkeleysappho 06:24, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello Mailer diablo, I see that List of Graffiti artists has been deleted and protected. I understand why this is, though, the deletion of this article has left a large hole, with many red links now appearing. Could you perhaps, make the article into a re-direct to List of street artists? I feel that would be better. Regards, Dfrg.msc 00:57, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Re : Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Falling Apart (novel)
Thank you for clearing up the real-world context issue. I understand what is meant by it. I do not have any such material to add to the article. However, if it was undeleted, then there is the potential for another Wikipedian to make that type of contribution to it.
I would like to appeal against the deletion of the article on the grounds that Jacqueline Wilson is one of the best-known writers for young people in the UK:
"In 2006 Public Lending Right (PLR) announced that children's writer Jacqueline Wilson was the most borrowed author for the third year running."
