The completely phony article you created at Fjollträsk constitutes vandalism. Continued behavior of that type will lead to your being blocked from editing. Since you know very well that you created a bogus article, it is not possible to find good faith in that work. Wikipedia is not a playground for nonsense shenanigans like that. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 20:22, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No it does not. It is turning a pointless redirect into a stub article, which is what we do to make wikpedia better. Please tell me, how is it phony? Do you think I spent a lot of time translating this stub from the Swedish, checking the references and translating all the links, to be accused of bad faith and being phony.? I had to get a login so that I could do the Wikidata, i wish I had just stayed as being IP now. My edits were in good faith. Your abuse to me patently is not. I've responded in more detail at user talk:SergeWoodzing, but MagyarLinguist is not the editor in the wrong here. Thryduulf (talk) 01:37, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Attribution for translated articles

Thank you for your translation work, and for correctly attributing it. As a very minor point though the attribution templates are canonically at the top of the talk page rather than in a section (if there is already one or more boxes there, just add it to the end of the list). This is to make it easier to identify and prevents it accidentally getting moved to a talk page archive if one is ever needed. It's not a big deal though so don't worry about it (it took a matter of seconds to fix the one at talk:Fjollträsk). Thryduulf (talk) 01:37, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was tempted to move it up to the top, but didn't want to disturb the previous discussions etc. It was a close call on that one: thanks for doing it, but I had a feeling by doing it myself it would seem like being "disruptive"... which it appears I seem like being anyway. Blocked

I'm not sure if I can or cannot edit this page. Yes, I was User:SimonTrew and made the stupid mistake of using my real name, and edited for many years. I'm sure User:Thryduulf is acting entirely in good faith here, but I went to edit under IP because of various legal threats: My real name is "Simon Trew" and one of the only two as far as I know in the United Kingdom, the other being a published military historian from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, so I am extremely identifiable

I remember many years ago Thryduulf warned me off for trying to nominate too many User:Neelix redirects at WP:RfD. Then it wasn't arbcom or anything but someone said something even more nasty and I was warned off for making legal threats. I am absolutely in my right to make legal threats: i think the wording there by WMF is a bit weird, because to say "I will take you to court" is not actually a threat. That is why we have Uncommon Law. I'm not saying I'm always right, butI've been called so many bad names in the last forty-eight hours that my WP:AGF is waning.

Which is why I preferred to edit under IP, because I respect my privacy. Absolutely here in Hungary, because I have the records etc, I know for certain I am the only "Simon Trew" in Hungary. With where I live, with Hungarian names, it is reversed to be "Trew Simon". I can't really win can I.)

Every edit I make I do declare an interest and so on, and recently as this admin has noted, in good faith, I have had personal attack as soon as I creted this account. Somewhere I wrote, "It's really not difficult to find my ISP". Which is Digi Communications. I'm not a sockpuppet, I'm a good faith contributor to Wikipedia, who has been personally maligned by another editor (not Thryduulf), and that won't do. "Welcome to Wikipedia, the encylopaedia that only the great and the good can edit"? MagyarLinguist (talk) 22:51, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Simon-Trew/e/B001HPF2CS%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_shareéé

I have actually phoned him about six years ago, and his female secretary at the time, when I said "Hello, my name is Simon Trew", replied on the blower, "are you sure? Because he isn't in the office at the moment, and I was not expecting a call from Simon Trew". That man is notable in my opinion and at one point I did start to create a bio stub for him. I'm not notable at all. I just made the stupid mistake of using my real name here. MagyarLinguist (talk) 23:02, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that User:SergeWoodzing, where all this kerfuffle started, has not been blocked at all, despite User:Thryduulf saying " You've been given multiple warnings about your behaviour previously, so I recommend you start listening to the advice you have been given if you wish to continue being an editor here", "If you continue to act in this manner you may be blocked from editing", and "You will be blocked if you continue with the personal attacks and assumptions of bad faith". On reflection I think this is a joke article: that is to say, an article about a joke or peaceful protest. were other editors such as User:Uanfala who I know regularly contributes to RfD, occasionally to WP:PNT and so on, to review it, might make head or tail of it: but cannot if User:SergeWoodzing removes any translation content I add. I never said it was a great translation. It was a first stab,. MagyarLinguist (talk) 23:51, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

refy As I stated I don't want to add salt to the fire. But really, I have a very easily identifiable real name: tégnap bocs magyarul, yesterday, i had to take my passport and do on to "self-identify" at the bank. If anyone else here would like to give me their real name, then go ahead, and then start casting aspertions. It is very easy to hide behind a nick and make personal attacks, taht truly hurt me, and hurt Wikipedia too in my opinion.

I have bigger fish to fry. For example, I notice on my talk page that a good editor here asks what do I say at the tobbaconist, well actualy it is the Nemzeti Dohánybolt.... "Nemzeti" means "National" (the -i suffix is kinda dative), "dohány" is tobacco and "bolt" is shop. As any fule kno. This whole farrago has come about from bad-faith edits by the user who apparently has no sanctions or blocks. Hungary, being landlocked, does not have much use for hovercraft (I had made many a journey on them during their brief existence, and yes, I have read the book. I have a signed copy here.)[1], although there are quite a lot of eels (unfortunately not jellied). As I say, or rather will say now, good faith works in two directions. Thank you. MagyarLinguist (talk) 00:36, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I really do have bigger fish to fry than Wikipedia. Why don't you ask the otheer editor why he never replies, why he continues to willy-nilly cast aspersions and get away with it? One of the reasons I listed Black and orange at WP:RFD is that Black and Orange goes to a different place. I should really prefer to do what I've done for six years, edit under IP.but if there is a fight to be fought then at least the editor who accused me of bad faith edits, cusedlledme names that my mother would make me waysh out with soap and water, and still seem not to give a d. Do you know how many translators can translate from Hungarian to English? Not many. Do you know how many can translate from French to English, as I did at François_Mathet? I know IP editors are second class ctizens, but reay I doé not need personal abuse. TO MAKE IT ABSOLUTELY CLEAR I DO NOT MEAN THRYDUULF. MagyarLinguist (talk) 02:09, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
See for example User Talk:SergeWoodzing#Swenglish and many many others on this user's talk page over many years. There is no problem in being patriotic but I think this editor gets to the point of neurosis or I dunno.... I know and have known a lot of Nordic people, I suggest he goes up north and I'll give him a moose to shoose. MagyarLinguist (talk) 02:48, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, the pilot of the firsts large hovercrafts across the English Channel were Swedish, as anybody who actually looks it up would know. ireally do not understand why this editor seems to have some hatred against me. Certainly he or she does not seem to respond to comments. MagyarLinguist (talk) 08:37, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please excuse me but another very long-time and good-faith editor remarked sarcastically (In good spirit) about my hovercraft beeing full of eels: a reference to the Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook, I would have preferred to share the joekke with him or her, rather than waste my time with a bad-faith editor. MagyarLinguist (talk) 08:42, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Er, I buy furniture from IKEA. I worked for a paper mill called Raflatac who are Swedish, so if you want to know how to put on a glassine, ask me or a Swede. I absolutely deny and resent that I am in any way anti-Swedish, or whatever. This user despite all my attempts does not respond. I guess is Swedish, but not like the Swedes I know, who don't make personal attacks. MagyarLinguist (talk) 11:03, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As I stated to Thryduulf, with whom I have no trouble at all, I am nearly blind and mainly deaf, and one of the nice things about Wikipedia is that I can edit in plaintext and it takes me maybe a bit longer than people without visual impairment and so on. I have acted, and have continued to act, in good faith: when a user says and I quote, "Dont leave any message on my talk page", my assumption of good faith does wane a little.
