Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of more than one account or IP address by one person. Any frustrated rant about deletionists on my talk page is always WELCOME! Like you, I too came to Wikipedia to write a few articles (which I believe is why most individuals are attracted to signing up on Wikipedia), however, after signing up I quickly became disenchanted by the pervasive, aggressive negativism throughout the community. I don't exactly remember how I discovered AfD, but I quickly realized that whatever time I spent writing an article, I'd have to X's that number by years/decades just to defend said article. (Besides, one particular article I was thinking about is highly technical and can attract an audience without Wikipedia!)
What baffles me most about Wikipedia is the unrelenting callousness the community's adopted of running off writer's. Writer's should be the staple of Wikipedia, not its enemy. Ah, well, c'est la vie! --MurderByDeadcopy"bang!"18:15, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I can only agree. I am used to editing the danish wikipedia, and more or less nothing gets deleted there. Many articles have no references at all, and an article is seen as well-referenced if it has five references. So i was sincerely shocked when i started editing the english wikipedia! Its a race for nominating biggest amount of articles for deletion, and they dont give a fuck about newbies. Someone should start a new encyclopaedia where only people who really knew something about a subject or a person could write, and where every subject was notable. Even the least wikinotable person in the smallest city in the smallest country should be notable enough to have wiki. There is always someone who wants to know something about somebody. Venceremos! Many articles here have no references too! En-Wiki won't put a numerical value to how many sources are required so that they can argue that use that same argument back and forth at their whim. Sort of like statistics! Not only is it a race to delete as many articles as possible, many editors kept an actual "kill" list on their user page. As for COI, I've seen tons of bio's written autographically or by their wife!
Thought you might be interested in this discussion about AFD culture going on at Village pump. I've found one of the greatest oddities about Wikipedia is how they valiantly go about hiding info. I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. A sources are needed that support the first sentence. The quote seems to be a substantial portion of Elwell-Sutton's reply,a fair use issue. Unless additional significant coverage exists the subject may not be notable.
