do you actually read RfAs?At all? or just voice your, support vote, for anyone with [[Category:Conservative Wikipedians]] on their page? Shoshone National ForestSure, I'll be glad to create a map for Shoshone National Forest. My intentions are to do a map for a western park (or National Forest), with varied terrain compared to Maine, and come up with color schemes/symbols that would work across both. Shoshone fits this need. Thanks for asking. —--Aude (talk | contribs) 03:39, 4 January 2006 (UTC) George WashingtonThanks. I felt bad. Hi, I see that you agree that User:Dr Joe's edits are suspicious... his latest edit totally clinches it though, as he went to the article Mythology and reverted my changes on it, exactly like Beckjord did one or twice in the past out of nowhere, and then made edit comments on his talk page and talk:Bigfoot about how "my" mythology article sucks and needs to be opposed. I was wondering if you could go undo his edit for me there? DreamGuy 09:23, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Harry CassidyWhy did you speedy delete Harry Cassidy? You should have reverted it to when it was about a real person. Next time check the history!Homey 10:49, 4 January 2006 (UTC) ThanksMONGO; Thank you for your encouragement, nomination, and support. I appreciate the confidence they represent. I'll be getting up to speed for a while; after that I hope to use my new powers Xenaphon and Xenophon_of_EphesusI just wanted you to know I've reblocked these two permanently, as they were both sockpuppets created for the purpose of policy violation. Harry CassidyI suggest you conduct a more precise google search. For instance "harry Cassidy" +social work produces quite a number of hits. [1] For instance, he is referenced in the Canadian Encyclopedia [2] He is also the subject of several journal articles:
He was also the runner up in the Ontario Liberal Party leadership convention in the 1950s. But if you want to waste time with an AFD, go ahead. As I said, in future, please check the article history before doing a speedy delete. In this case the vandal wiped out the existing article about a notable person and substituted a junk article about himself. I seem to be very popular with sockpuppets. And I never shopped with Pets.com. Unless a lot of negativity comes out of the woodwork tommorrow, I don't think I will need those two votes anyway. Did you notice that the guy who voted no changed his vote to neutral based on my answers? I spent an hour or more researching the answers for him, and he still only voted neutral. Take care. --rogerd 05:59, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Mongo, my liege, my modelMongo, as I am a politically conservative and pro-American Wikipedian (though one living in Ireland), you were once pointed out to me as example of a great conservative Wikipedian. So it was with great pleasure that I noted your support of my RfA. If there is any way at all I can be of service, please do let me know! Regards, Babajobu 01:18, 7 January 2006 (UTC) My dear MongoHi, my dear Mongo! I'm sorry I took a day or so to reply to your message, but it was a very interesting one and I really wanted to take my time when answering. First of all, allow me to thank you very much for your kind words and your invitation to get more involved in the project; it really means a lot to me that an experienced user like yourself has taken the time to welcome me so warmly. Regarding your questions, I happen to be very interested in the Shoshone, and in fact I wrote an essay some time ago on the separation of the Comanche from the original tribe. I would be very happy to review the current contents of the articles you've mentioned and see if I can collaborate. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the Nez Perce and Crow Nation is not that deep, but I'll still try and improve our articles, along with many others that I've already put in my mental to-do list. I'm happy to see that we already have rich resources on the Comanche (especially at Comanche History), but I fear that large chunks of information are copvios - I'll doublecheck them asap. It ashames me a little to ask this, but I hope you'll indulge a newbie (today is my first month Wiki-birthday!). I'd like to know exactly how working groups and projects function in WP - do they have mailing lists, or is discussion conducted directly at certain pages? Is it possible to consult a full list of all available projects? I wonder this because I'd really like to check whether a WP project on Native American resources exist or not; and in case it doesn't, to create one eventually when I'm (far) more experienced. Fortunately, your message has also been very timely to remind me my objectives when I first arrived. At first, I wanted to write, write, and after that, write even more; but then I became entangled with anti-vandalism (I must admit I love RC patrolling!). All in all, my activity in the last couple of weeks has not been the most creational stage of my life, and I think it's time to remember what I came for in the first place. I hope you don't mind the lenght of this message. It's great to see there are so many nice people like you around here. Please, feel free to message me whenever you want. A great pleasure to meet you, my dear Mongo! Have you ever encountered an editor called Nandesuka (talk · contribs)? If you have, I'll find someone else, but I'm trying to find someone to try and do this. I believe that Nandesuka is engaging in personal attacks on me, he is adamant that I'm mistaking "civil disagreement" for personal attacks. It would be useful to have a person unacquainted with his discussion style to give his statements a once-over, in their original context, and see what they think. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 17:39, 8 January 2006 (UTC) Hi Mongo!Hi Dave! I'll be sure to remember your good advices and your insight - they strike me as great guidelines to follow while I'm here. The information you provided me on projects is great too, and it served me to observe that you are right: no currently active wikigroups deal with Native American resources, although there are some other ethnic-related ones from whose experience I can benefit. I'm starting a basic draft of a working group in that direction, and I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I decide it's ready to be launched. On a side note, I must tell you I'm a hopeless perfectionist, and my attention to detail is my curse. Hence, when I saw your user page I thought "Hey, I think I could make Mongo's page look a little better"... and after struggling with wikicode for a couple of hours, I came up with this version. I hope you'll like it - if you do, just copy the text from my sandbox to your user page. It actually displays a little better on Firefox, but as far as I can tell, it looks fairly the same in all browsers. I really really really hope you like it; but if you don't, don't feel compelled to use it just because I made it, k? Promise me? Have a great day, Dave! See you later, -- Phædriel *whistle* 01:06, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
I thought I might as well do itThe first thing I could find so far was Harry Cassidy, but someone already gave you stick about that one, dammit. Some other deletions I looked twice at were:
I also do note that you mention WP:VAIN in quite a few of your recent deletion comments. You have, in the edits that I've looked over, always paired it with "nn" but that makes me a little nervous. VAIN isn't a CSD on its own, and I haven't seen you using it a such but I just thought that it bore mentioning. This and this were a bit snarky, but after trying really hard it was the worst thing I could find!
You could also do with edit summaries in talk ([5],[6]) but goodness I wish I could get everyone to be a bit more consistant with that.
I also note that while I did check on your talk page to see if anyone had mentioned these, if Tony (as the chief restorer) has already talked to you about them on IRC or something sorry to bring it up again. If I've gotten any of my facts wrong, please do let me know. But take off that dress uncle larry, mom's home. This is with my looking harder than I have any right to. You appear to be not only doing a pretty respectable job as an admin, but continuing to contribute in article space to an amazing degree. I'd say that that new user page was well deserved. And while we're at it, I'd love someone to look over my actions and give me a kick up the bumm when I screw up. See "treasure hunt" at the top of my user page. I'm also perfectly happy to see this deleted once you've read it, thanks for letting me rain on your parade. brenneman(t)(c) 10:02, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

I've returned from the unjust blockHello Mr. MONGO. I've gotten off my lockdown from the wikipedian prison. :) I just wanted to say that regarding this edit, I don't know what you mean by "hate you" and "curse you out"... I'm not angry towards you nor do I give fault to regarding the block. I do not know what you are talking about; however what I do know is that the block was unjustified, and since I wasn;t in the wrong I was not going to aplogize. While she was (presumeably) enforcing wiki-policy, she went about it in a very incivil manner and some of her comments were in clear violation of WP:NPA. She must cease it at once! This user seems to be getting into a spat with someone who has asked me to intervene. I think that this latter person (it's Megamanzero) is trying his best and doing quite well, but he has asked me to put a welcome message on the page. I'm reluctant to take that decision myself in case it's seen as some kind of attack (maybe that sounds silly but I'm trying to avoid losing this fellow--maybe that's wikiparanoia! :) ). There is no doubt in my mind, on the basis of what I've seen, that both users involved are a credit to Wikipedia. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Beckjord/Workshop. On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, Kelly Martin (talk) 01:22, 25 January 2006 (UTC) Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Beckjord from me, tooHi, MONGO. Yeah, I noticed other people were getting the message seen above, just not me, and all I can say is CONSPIRACY! Thanks for blowing the whistle. ;-) I am interested, but I also figure the people who've actually been working with Bigfoot probably have enough substantial diffs and stuff already collected, and to spare, without me chipping in. I'll just watch the evidence page and maybe post later, in the unlikely event that I've got some angle that isn't already covered. But thanks, that was very noticing of you! Bishonen | talk 13:39, 25 January 2006 (UTC). Thanks, please do.Thanks, I need to focus on something else. Banez 05:59, 26 January 2006 (UTC) Possible ImposterYou might want to keep an eye out for User:MOngo, 04:21, 26 January 2006 MOngo (New user (Talk | contribs | block)). --BadSeed 07:57, 26 January 2006 (UTC) Your RFA vote.Hi MONGO. I am sorry that you do not consider me to be a suitable candidate for adminship. I won't try and convince you to change your vote, but I would like you to expand for me your reasons for voting against. I will assume good faith, and consider that these are your genuine reasons for opposing; I just don't quite understand them. I do not think I have 'editcountitis maximus' - I do tend to vote against someone if they have less than 1,000 edits, but I've supported people with 1500 edits and opposed people with 10,000. Please could you let me know why you have the impression of my RfA voting being ruled by editcountitis? I would like to try and prevent this impression in the future, Also, whilst I can be terse on AfD, I prefer to think of it as succinct, as I don't think I've ever been uncivil, which is what terse implies. Can you show me an example of the kind of terseness you take issue with, so I can try and improve my conduct in these areas in the future? Thanks, Proto t c 14:50, 26 January 2006 (UTC) BeckjordOf course not, good idea, go ahead. The way he vandalized my nice image gallery in revenge for blocking him might be worth mentioning, I guess. Yes, I feel sad. Also, compared to the more usual sour, whining, wikilawyering problem user, there is something almost disarming about B's straightforwardly hair-raising POV and transparent sockpuppets. --Bishonen | talk 12:10, 27 January 2006 (UTC). MediationDoes it usually take a period of several months to become an mediator...? :) -ZeroTalk 12:54, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
AdviceHi there. I've just uploaded a picture to my sandbox. Now, since I dont know anything about copyrights on wikipedia, is there any way I can say that I hold all rights to the image? Thanks Banez 18:47, 27 January 2006 (UTC) Succesful RfA!
The abusive anonHi, thanks for taking action on the question but I'm afraid he has demonstrated that warning and discussion is futile. A previous IP was even blocked for personal attacks on other users. [9] [10] This is the sort of stuff he wrote: I hope you die, along with your dog faced children. [11] I am not particularly concerned about the comments, but he will not leave me alone and nobody seems to want anything to do with it. In the meantime I have to deal with random users who think I am in the midst of a bizarre edit war over something trivial rather than being harassed. --TJive 07:19, 28 January 2006 (UTC) Mutually.Assured.Destruction.Let's hope not :). Hope you're well and warm. Right now the city is a grey labyrinth of windy canyons, punctuated with the most brilliant sunlight. We and you ought not to pull on the ends of a rope... :) All my sincerest good wishes. -- User:RyanFreisling @ 16:14, 28 January 2006 (UTC) What a lovely picture - thank you! You could tell I like being next to water... QueriesI no longer archive my page because I'm switching over to another account. My point on Proto's RFA is that WikiFanatic, like so many others, is voting for erroneous reasons. His stated reason has nothing to do with being an admin, which shows that hes just trying to be an ass, and no one else was calling him out on it. His "vote" was like my "vote" on EurekaLott's RFA - just to make a point. freestylefrappe 19:58, 28 January 2006 (UTC) BugGot a bug that is causing problems for other users as well. I sign as Martial Law, I get this mess: 111.908.567.95. This mess has already been reported on WP:AN and on WP:BUG, since this thing can actually cause someone to be falsely accused of fielding/being socks. Martial Law 09:38, 29 January 2006 (UTC) Will this affect User:Beckjord's case ? Martial Law 09:54, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
RE: BeckjordMongo, just a word of caution concerning Beckjord. Here is link you might want to look over:[12] Some of links on the page are no longer available but it will give you just a hint of his personality and behavior. He will try to wear you down to "accept" his way of thinking. What you are seeing with the Bigfoot is just the tip of the iceburg with him. Just be careful and on guard with him. And be advised that he will post personal information (as you might of noticed with L. Coleman here)and gossip on his "forum board" about others quite often. Also, half of the "posters" on his "forum board(s)" are just one person, himself. MarcusTCicero 10:58, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
ALso RE: Beckjord... I hope your comment about a last ditch effort to assume good faith was meant that Beckjord didn't have any and not a claim that I was not being fair. Letting a harsasing user spam articles because he wears us down isn't a good policy, and removing the link isn;t bad faith anymore than removing any other spam. DreamGuy 14:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC) His latest personal attacks inspired my to enter new evidence at his Arb thangy though, so that was good. DreamGuy 16:41, 29 January 2006 (UTC) An Esperanzial noteAs I remember, the last spam that was handed out was on the 20th of December last year, so I think it's time for another update. First and foremost, the new Advisory Council and Administrator General have been elected. They consist of myself as Admin General and FireFox, Titoxd, Flcelloguy and Karmafist as the Advisory Council. We as a group met formally for the first time on the 31st of Decembe. The minutes of this meeting can be found at WP:ESP/ACM. The next one is planned for tonight (Sunday 29 January) at 20:30 UTC and the agenda can be found at WP:ESP/ACM2. In other news, Karmafist has set up a discussion about a new personal attack policy, which it can be found here. Other new pages include an introductory page on what to do when you sign up, So you've joined Esperanza... and a welcome template: {{EA-welcome}} (courtesy of Bratsche). Some of our old hands may like to make sure they do everything on the list as well ;) Additionally, the userpage award program proposal has become official is operational: see Wikipedia:Esperanza/User Page Award to nominate a userpage or volunteer as a judge. Also see the proposed programs page for many new proposals and old ones that need more discussion ;) Other than that, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you an Esperanzially good new WikiYear :D Thank you! --Celestianpower háblame 16:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Re.:User: Beckjord / Running out of namesThis subject has stated that he is often in a coffeeshop w/ internet connections. Can't rule out that possiblity. This may explain some of the names used by him. There is no way to run out of designations. The coffeeshop reference is on one of the Arbitration pages. Of course he could also use "Borg" designations as well, such as 40 of 60, and there are those infinite IP deignations as well. Only analyzing the situation. He indicates that there are other people in said coffeeshop who are "pro-Bigfoot". Martial Law 22:08, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Sup sup Dave! How are you doing, my dear Dave? First of all, please let me put your mind at rest regarding my gifts to you, I know you noticed them and you thanked me for them - and as usual, you drew a smile on my face. I'm happy they cheered you up - you deserve that and much, much more. Regarding the Bigfoot article, just by the moment you wrote me your last message I was finishing a small research about the whole issue, and I had already had a look at Beckjord's website. I imagine how unpleasant this whole matter must be. I'm not an authority in cryptozoology nor in paranormal matters, so I think I'll just stay clear of the issue - but I'll definetely endorse your summary at the arbitration, count on that. I'd also suggest you to contact User:Mikedash, as he may provide you valuable help through this matter. I've heard he is a serious paranormal researcher and a professional writer, who happens to have an article on him as well, Mike Dash. From what I've read, he is a level headed investigator and a regular contributor as well, and may provide a unique view on the subject. Just my two cents, in hopes of helping a little.
