The bigger consideraion is whether a disciple who is acclaimed for being an exemplary educator, specifically, for perpetuating the legacy of the mentor's (Arrau) technique, merits mention. The most important role of any teacher is the pepetuation of the legacy of the (forebear) mentor. In this case, note that Arrau technique is legendary, derived from the following lineage -- Beethoven taught Czerny, Czerny taught Liszt, Liszt taught Krauss, Krauss taught Arrau. Unless I am mistaken, none of the other pianists listed in the section have made a greater impact than Sackstein on maintaining this legacy. Do you have direct eidence to the contrary?
