Zico and FenerbahceThis is today's big news in Turkey. You can see it at the club's official web site, www.fenerbahce.org and also at UEFA's web site. Fenerbahce has many other Brazillian players as well, look for Fenerbahce in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.25.229.179 (talk • contribs) Tracking VandalismHi Lesfer, At 5 April 2006 I replied to you about blocking my IP, this was because of a warning about vandalism in the Wikipedia. As I have said at that time, the Internet connection on my work is through a proxy. Now I come here to offer, with the acknowledgment of my boss, some help to track the vandalistic actions from the public IPs of the company where I work, and to identify those which may have taken any actions against Wikipedia in our facilities. May we cross informations from Wikipedia Community about vandalistic actions from our public IPs and the information from our network infrastructure (squid, firewall, routers, etc)? Tell me if this is interesting to Wikipedia Community and how can we do such thing. Thanks and waiting your answer, Agaro
A friendly suggestionBack off, go play in the sunshine, find a nice girl, walk a dog, do some damned thing. Seriously this stalking shit is getting tired. All I have to do is ask a neutral Admin to look at your shadow contributions compared to my edits, and this little drama will be ended rather publicly. I'm being nice here, in case you can't help yourself. Stop ..... it ..... now. --Basique 02:51, 8 July 2006 (UTC) TranslationHello, I see that you speak Portugese at a high level, sadly I do not. So I was wondering if you could do your best to get the best translation from this article http://www.cruzeiroec.com./historia_cruzeiro..htm . This article contains information on the Brazilian football club Cruzeiro EC, one of my curent projects. Please try to translate it to the best extent, you can send it to me the translated version via e-mail, abreu_andrade@sbcglobal.net . Once you send it to me, me and the guys will put the information into the article. Hopefully you can help, if you can't just tell me otherwise. Thanks GADA 23:00, 10 July 2006 (UTC) Re: IP CheckHi Lesfer. I'm afraid I don't have CheckUser (that's the tool used for checking IPs). The request needs to be posted at Wikipedia:Requests for CheckUser. Not all requests are fulfilled though, since our privacy policy demands that the circumstances be serious enough to justify disclosing (even if only to the user with CheckUser) a registered user's IP. See the instructions at the top of the page before [deciding on] posting the request. Cheers, Redux 12:24, 11 July 2006 (UTC) What?My "history of vandalism" as you put it was actually just a member trying to get under my skin. He wasn't an admin, I have no warnings from official admins. That article, since it covers the entire history of the League, is perfectly appropriate. Everybody in the photo were members of the League at some point. Just leave it, its a high quality photo. The Jimenez photo is way out of date (just look at Batman's costume), and Bene's art is a good representation of the good characters of the DCU. Plus, there are people in the Jimenez photo who haven't been members of the league either. Just leave it. Sand (comics)I totally agree. I accidentally created Sand (Sandy Hawkins) in an attempt to fix Traviswastaken's mistake (he did not properly move the page). I figured he was able to justify the Sandman code-name, but apparently not. I left a message on his talk, telling him it's his responsibility to fix. I think an article Sand Hawkins is the best solution. Kusonaga 18:53, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Bart AllenI think we may need to address this sort of thing in the editorial guidelines as well. You're absolutely right: Hal Jordan, Jay Garrick, Rick Tyler and Donna Troy all have their superhero names in thei SHBs; however, I know that at least Carol Danvers does not. I haven't seen anything to indicate that one way or the other is right. I'm going to start the discussion on the SHB talk page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChrisGriswold (talk • contribs) Alex RossWould you care to explain how Alex Ross art is not fair use when work by other artists is? Would you care to explain how the image is not current, when it is the current costume? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Majestic Lizard (talk • contribs) Well, as you explained that the previous Alex Ross image was innapropriate due to not coming from a comic rather than all of the artist's work collectively being considered "unfair use" which is what I missaprehended that you meant by your initial statement... ...I found a current picture by the artist which depects Aquaman in his current costume, and it is from an official DC publication featuring Aquaman. Your statement that it must be an actual Aquaman publication, I assume you are not being literal about as such characters as Wolverine feature images in their boxes that are also not from the title character's solo publication. Thank you for explaining the rule on my page. Majestic Lizard 22:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Copa RioNo. Only on September 15, FIFA will decide if the competition is a World Club Cup or not, according to this link. The article certainly needs to be changed to reflect that. I support the article move to 1951 Copa Rio. Carioca 22:00, 24 August 2006 (UTC) Carter HallI've deleted Carter Hall because it has no content at all. Please feel free to recreate the article with content either about the ship or the town, but please don't recreate it as empty. Thanks, NawlinWiki 01:24, 27 August 2006 (UTC) OK -- I thought from your edit summary that you wanted Carter Hall created as a placeholder for someone to write an article with content. If not, my mistake, sorry. NawlinWiki 01:32, 27 August 2006 (UTC) Unspecified source for Image:Aldair.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Aldair.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. On the Rai page i can see a "Copyright © RaiSport " but no evidence that is copyrighted for free use. Jacopo86 10:11, 28 August 2006 (UTC) Tevez/MascheranoHi - thanks for your efforts to keep the vandals at bay on these pages. I have kept the corinthians squad section in for the time being, until it is officially confirmed they have left. As soon as there is an official announcement, please feel free to take them out. Re: Mr CoolHi Lesfer. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I went through this person's upload log (images), and what I found was not encouraging. I've deleted the copyvio images he uploaded (this also includes false tags where he claimed that an image belonging to the Associated Press and being used on cnnsi.com was his creation, for example) and reverted his inclusion of them in articles. I've left him a final warning in his talk page. If you notice him repeating that behavior, please inform me immediately, and I will block him from editing. Thanks, Redux 16:20, 31 August 2006 (UTC) Comics CleanupYou are one of the best editors working on comics-related articles on Wikipedia. I'd like to inite you to join the new WikiProject I've started: WikiProject Comics Cleanup. Similarly to how the WP:CMC collaboration works to elevate articles to Featured Article status, the primary goal of this new project is to coordinate group cleanup efforts on articles, copy editing, condensing, and providing citations where needed. The secondary goal is to remind good editors that there are other good editors who have the same goals. This will also help prepare articles for Wikipedia 1.0 assessment, a project I am currently working on pulling together for WP:CMC. I'd really appreciate your membership, but I do understand if you find yourself to be too busy to participate. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 18:58, 10 September 2006 (UTC) SHB stuffThanks for reminding me of what the consensus was. I plan on going through those old discussions and making the changes discussed, including that the picture should be a current one. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 20:59, 12 September 2006 (UTC) T-man/ The JudgeHi, Lesfer. Please tone down the language and rhetoric at User talk:The Judge. Yes, T-man is a block evader and a violator of Wikipedia rules. However, that doesn't mean that WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL don't apply to him. I understand that his insinuation of racially based prejudice is rather offensive, but that's no excuse for lowering the tone. Consider this a friendly warning. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 20:22, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Do so again and "you will be reported to an administrator"for your lack of civility, which is by the way a guideline. NetK 03:49, 5 October 2006 (UTC) Your idea of Vandalism? Then I suggest that you check out the wikipedia guidelines on vandalism. There is nothing that I have done with this Hyperion article that can be considered vandalism. I am making good faith attempts to clarify mistakes that I see on this page. I am not adding nonsense to this page or deleting large portions of it just for the heck of it. Just because you don't agree with my edits does not make them vandalism!! If you continue to label me a vandal, I will report YOU to the site administrator.--CrystalB4 03:50, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Great Idea!!You said:Check other TV series characters such as Sydney Bristow or Jack Bauer. —Lesfer (t/c/@) 23:15, 4 October 2006 (UTC) I say: I love them...could you make this (Lionel's) one look like those??--201 05:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC) Assume good faith and be civilOkay, basically you have breached civility guidance in a number of comments to User:Netkinetic. [1] and [2] don't really keep within the bounds of our civility policy. Sometimes it is possible to get frustrated when editing Wikipedia, and in those circumstances it is best to try and keep WP:COOL. An approach is to write a response, and instead of posting it, walk away for five minutes and then come back and rewrite it. Frustration is the hardest part about contributing to Wikipedia. Disputes occur frequently, especially in areas where the situation may not seem clear cut to both parties. The best advise is to stop acting, keep a cool head and keep talking. However, if that fails, rather than find yourself in a position where you lose your temper and say something you shouldn't, you should walk away. You should also consider extending a sincere apology when you have lost your temper. An apology does not have to mean you accept you were wrong in your position, only that the way you put that position across was perhaps ill-judged. We do have a dispute resolution process, and if you need help in working through the steps don't hesitate to contact me for help. Your contributions are valuable, but bear in mind all parties in an edit war must be treated equally. Steve block Talk 13:55, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for listening — J Greb 20:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC) Categories(crossposting to both talk pages) I respectfully request that you both put a moratorium on (in other words, stop) adding/removing characters to/from categories, at least until the Superhero-team CfD has completed. Lesfer, thanks for your support on my request for adminship. The final outcome was a robust 62/1/1, so I am now an administrator. If you ever have any questions about my actions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks again, Chris Griswold
Re: ImagesHi Lesfer. The problem is that, by a decision from Jimbo Wales himself (read it), Wikipedia is no longer to carry copyrighted media (such as images) that have been cleared for non-commercial use only or that could have been authorized by the copyright holder to be used on Wikipedia only. The decision was made in early 2005, and became effective on May 19, 2005. All material uploaded under one of those two premises prior to May 19, 2005 is clear for use, but anything and everything uploaded as of May 19, 2005 no longer adheres to Wikipedia's image use policy.
Junior and Zico images deletionI'd like to know why I have not received a warning about it. Plus, those images use were authorized by official websites. I checked with an admin before uploading them, so I'd like an explanation. —Lesfer (t/c/@) 15:43, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: Palmeiras HonoursHi Lesfer, how are you? The 1951 Copa Rio doesn't have the status of a world championship yet. However it was listed as a world tournament and not a championship. do you think we should consider that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Giuseppepalestra (talk • contribs) Minor item re:List JLA membersThis may be a minor thing, but it could leas to a lot of revert friction in the DC articles. The indencia, the legal text on the "DC Nation" page at the back of the book, for 52 explicitly uses the format "52 Week 'X'". I had to look it up when I saw the edit to that format. The edit that Sonic Shadow made with regard to this is, based on the books, the correct format. — J Greb 23:43, 9 November 2006 (UTC) Peer reviewA request for a peer review of New Universe has been made at Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/Peer review/New Universe. Re: HawkgirlGot a question on part of the edit on the Infobox here. Why was the comment reinforcing that Hol has a separate article removed? When I had edited the 'box with regard to the naming conventions, I had added that as a way to show that that particular character is dealt with else where. This was to prevent possible misunderstanding and unwarranted inclusion of that characters information in the 'box. If this is incorrect, I need to know as I've used the same formatting in at least 3 other cases. I like the preceding dash though, it seems a good way to indicate each is a distinct character. Thanks for listening... — J Greb 17:59, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
