Kolar Gold Fields - External Link

Abhishek,

You declined to add my external link to the Kolar Gold Field page, saying that it is promotional. I want to say that the KGF page does not include the lives of the Anglo-Indian community in the 1950s - which was a major feature of KGF at that time. I added the external link to provide this information. Perhaps it may be acceptable for Bridget (the author of the article I linked to) and me to write a para about this, and refer to some of the material that Bridget and I have created. Ticket pricing policy is purely against WP:NOTTRAVEL. Since SG has a separate article for its destination, the section on the destinations in SpiceJet article should be summarised. This is an abuse of your rollback rights! And saying that something stayed for over a year is not valid reason for it to be kept. Any irrelevant things can be removed from an article. Jet Airways - SpiceJet

In the DGCA's report, JetLite/JetKonnect was considered as a separate airline. Since recently JetLite merged with JetKonnect and also repainted most of its fleet as seen here, i guess we should split up the articles. Anyways, i tweaked the Jet Airways page and included the JetKonnect fleet(which takes the total to 114). So, in terms of fleet size, it is now the largest airline in India. JetKonnect was only a low-cost brand of Jet Airways. It used to operate with 9W code. After the merger of Air Sahara with Jet airways, it was rebranded as JetLite, but operated as a separate airline (with S2 code). With the merger of JetKonnect and JetLite there is still some ambiguity as some of the flights are operated with 9W code and some with S2 code. So it is unclear with the merger if JetKonnect is a separate airline or will it continue to be like before, only a low cost brand. It's good to discuss on this topic. As explained to you previously that having international status does not mean an airport's name should have the word international in it which you fail to understand ans I have not denied that the airport is now international. What I disagree is the change in the name! I don't think a tender notice can be taken as a proof. There were tenders on BLR where the airport was referred to as Bangalore International whereas its name is Bengaluru International. Aircraft names (SpiceJet)

I believe SpiceJet is the ONLY Indian airline which has named all of its aircraft, all mostly, all names are attractive and significant and each aircraft is named after a Spice. I believe we should add a list of aircraft names, mentioning the aircraft name, registration, type, age, (and an image, if possible.) We can use planespotters as a source. They have provided images of most aircraft to double-check. They currently do not have all the names (only thee are missing) and I have sent in corrections. I know all the names. Regarding usage of indic script in Coimbatore Airport

As per WP:INDICSCRIPT, consensus was reached not to add indic scripts on the 'lead section' of the article. I had added the native name in the infobox and as per the template Template:Infobox_airport, nativename-a refers to a field "Airport name in a native language with non-Western characters". as per WP:INDICSCRIPT, it clearly states that indic text is not allowed only in the lead. infobox gives handy information on the topic and as per the instructions, it is allowed to add indic text there. It is as per instructions and you cannot judge it as 'lame' just because you want to discredit my edit. If you are so conscious about it, change the instructions what about the infobox and later you can revert my edits. As per your warnings on my talk page, I am fully aware of 3RR rule. As per the discussion on WP:INDICSCRIPT, there was a problem with languages for articles related to people. But for the article in question, there is no rationale as to why Tamil script should not be added. Well that edit was back when there was news that IX would shift its HQ to Kochi. But since the IP changed it right before the actual shifting had taken place, I reverted it. Aren't you misreading the decision at Wikipedia:WikiProject India, which was to remove Indic script from the introductory paragraphs? Ray is a contemporary of Michelotti, who has a Wikipedia page. They worked on the same designs.

Ray is in his seventies and is retired. His business Innes Design, is now closed.

The are numerous omissions and mistakes I've noticed on existing pages regarding his work including his groundbreaking work on inhalers (no mention on Wikipedia), his design of the successful Triumph Spitfire MK IV (mistakenly assigned to Michelotti in Wikipedia). etc. etc

My only link to Ray is because I have one of the boats he designed (see my summary).

I visited him at home this week and was astonished by his collection of models, articles, prototypes etc relating to 40 years of groundbreaking design work. I've borrowed his designs and various articles relating to the Ace Mariner Europa of 1971 and added some photos to Wikimedia commons.

I guessed that it wasnt very clear, so i did another language change subsequently. By train's cars, i was referring to the metro coaches. If you are an employee and have edited the page, then you have a conflict of interest. ANd you should avoid editing pages where you have a conflict of interest. Wikipedia needs reliable, verifiable and third party sources for content to be considered genuine. Please go through the five pillars of wikipedia. Okay, let's take a step back. The changes I made to the page included a mixture of rewording and restructuring existing content, the addition of completely new information and the inserting of missing information into the page temple. I recognize the possibility of some of my changes perhaps not conforming with policy or guidelines, however certainly not all of them. Give that the whole approach here is supposed to be iterative, your blanket revert is heavy handed and unhelpful. I am going to revert my changes for a third time. Abhishek - did you or did you not initially revert the following changes: (1) The addition of the native name, population, population date and area size to the infobox, (2) the addition of sub-locality names, (3) the addition of a "Liveability" section and (4) the addition of a Demographics section? Yes? Okay, so the changes to (1) are self-evidently what Wikipedia IS. Changes (2) where made because the listing of distinct sub-localities is not uncommon (Willetton). Changes (3) was made only out of a desire to improve the article, but subsequently removed as acknowledged above. Changes (4) where again, seemingly self-evident as this section is a common inclusion in geographical locality articles as stated in the geographical locality guidelines. Now, do you think any of this, to the outside observer, would sound like the work of a vandal? This is what you labelled my edits as. As for what Wikipedia is and isn't, you've brought this up repeatedly under the apparent assumption that I understand what your exact interpretation of these policies and guidelines is. Well, I'm sorry, but I do not. When I added a new section this afternoon called "Facilities" you removed it stating "per: WP NOT". Well, as far as I can see this section is another standard inclusion for geographical localities elsewhere. The information I provided is also even contained elsewhere in Wikipedia-there is already a page listing schools in Bangalore. Anyway, I am not going to spend the time listing off more examples, they are everywhere. Whilst acknowledging a learning curve, I resent having my competency and integrity continually questioned over innocuous changes that reflect seemingly common Wiki practice and a genuine effort to follow policy. I also resent the tagging of the demographics section as "unreferenced" when you have already tagged the article as a whole. Seems like an unhelpful way to dial this disagreement back. As our country is growing we must have the updated photos of our new airports and terminal, it will help us to promote our city state couintry.

Learn to ne civil when you are talking to other editors. You have no command over me. I was just following wiki's policies. If I was wrong in tagging the page, the deletion would have been declined by an admin. If you cannot stick to the rules, then wikipedia is not the place for you.
