The problem with the original was that it was copied from a website. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by the organisation, unless they state clearly that the text is public domain. The text was also written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.

The references you give seem reasonable, except Geekmode, which appears to be a blog. I'm not sure about Busineswire. The problem as it stands is that the refs confirm that the company exists and a merger took place, I'm not sure that I'm being told how it meets the notability guidelines for organizations and companies. Lent, I wanted to share my thanks as well. These are generally appreciated, though I'm not sure we need such long quotes, since the information isn't especially contentious. In any case, great job.

Kew Gardens 613, thanks for getting it to work! Good information and the notes are always fun like (2) Grand Central Terminal and Harlem-125th Street totals reflect Hudson Line trains only. A true test of conductor's character is how they explain why they must refuse someone attempting to board at 125th St. or Stamford, because this is a "Discharge Only" station. Find the processed data here: 2018-station-rank-by-total-weekday.xlsx . I've processed the weekday PDF file into an XLSX file with ranking of stations by Metro-North East, Metro-North West, and Metro-North East & West. I merged the multiple line stations (but left a worksheet of the unmerged data). The first two columns are Branch, and the page number that contained the data in the 2018_Weekday_Station_Boardings.PDF file.

A detail was a need to rank the "NA" stations in a reasonable order. First was the assumption that they should rank below the stations with valid, non-"NA", passenger counts. To rank the three stations I took with the count data from the weekend file ranking and divided those values by 100 so they would rank below the stations with valid counts, but still be in a reasonable order. I think they were all once flag stop stations. The "NA" stations are Appalachian Trail station, Breakneck Ridge station, and Mount Pleasant station (Metro-North)).

There are a few comments in the unmerged data sheet, which contains merged and un-merged multi-line stations. The duplicated stations are highlighted. Unique stations retain the any suffix parentheses from the PDF as in 

White Plains (1)

but the original footnotes, like: 

(1) Station total include passengers transferring to/from connecting trains.

, are left out. I have a proposed version of using the data over at Talk:Fairfield Metro station#Proposed Update to Infobox.

Lent, this looks great, thanks. For the stations with "NA" passenger counts, I think we can add footnotes to the infobox, as these are indeed specific-use stations (for instance, Appalachian Trail and Breakneck Ridge is only served on weekdays and holidays, while Mount Pleasant is for cemetery visitors only). Stable sort example

The title of the tables in the stable sort example you asked about seems to be wrong. "by State, then City" but the output final columns are for sort by City (places cities in alphabetical order) then by state (state order, preserving the existing sorted city order). Your title would have Albany,NY first because it's the first city and that's the second sort. Jamesday (talk) 18:43, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
