I know you are trying to expand Wikipedia's information on Madagascar's musicians, but the articles still have to follow notability minimums. This month's theme is No Line on the Horizon, the twelfth studio album by U2.

The Album
  • No Line on the Horizon was released on 27 February 2009.
  • It marked the longest gap between studio albums of U2's career.
  • The band originally intended to release the songs as two EPs, but later combined the material into a single record.
  • The supporting U2 360° Tour, spanning 2009 to 2011, was the highest-grossing concert tour in history, with ticket sales over $736 million.
  • The singles for this album were "Get on Your Boots", "Magnificent", "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go :Crazy Tonight"

PK and City Tower

Hi Lemurbaby

Thanks very much for the GA review, and you've made some good comments there. I'll hopefully get on to fixing those within the next week.

As an aside, and for a bit of new article fun, I have been putting together an article on Kigali City Tower in the past couple of days. I was intending to nominate it at DYK with a fact of being Rwanda's tallest building but a bit more Googling reveals that it's not actually clear if that's the case. I've seen some sources claiming the Pensions Plaza opposite Centenary House is now the tallest, while others[1] claim KCT is the tallest. Annoyingly I can't find a single citation for an actual height in metres for either building so unless someone can do some original research by going up to the top with a GPS altitude measuring device it's hard to say. Do you happen to know which of the two is taller?

Thanks very much for passing the article, glad you think it's up to scratch now! I'll sort out the final few anchor refs shortly, can't believe they keep slipping through the net.
Going straight for the FA sounds a good idea - I'm sure it's the best way to get good critical opinion on the article. I'll also have a look around for other little projects to work on. If you have anything you're doing at the moment that you'd like some eyes on let me know. By the way, did you get the email I sent you last week? Me again! I've put the article up for FAC at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Paul Kagame/archive1 so please feel free to have a look at that when you have a moment.
Regarding China, I've had a quick look for some evidence of the "bloom fading" as you mentioned with regard to Chinese infrastructure in Rwanda and couldn't find anything immediately. I'll look again, and if you do know of any sources for this then please let me know. There are a few general items about Kagame saying Africa should rely on itself and not even rely on the Chinese, which I will reference, but that's not directly related to quality or otherwise of the Chinese projects. Hi there, just to say I've expanded the China section a bit to include more detail of Chinese projects, and also a mention of Agaciro and Kagame's views on self-sufficiency. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you had in mind, so let me know. Or if there's any other aspect of it you want me to cover. As I said before I've not found any sources querying the quality of the Chinese investments, so I@ve not included that. But if you do know of any then let me know. I just noticed this article, and at a quick glance, it looks pretty good. However, I don't see any mention of the rosewood scandal and the environmental problems that happened as soon as he seized power. There should be many reliable sources for this. Thanks Amakuru and Maky. My parents and brother are arriving in Kigali today and I'm taking a week of leave to ramble around Rwanda. We're going to the Nyungwe Forest lodge, will trek to see the mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park, then we'll finish off the week with a safari in Akagera National Park. WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre

Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).

So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:

  • Recruiters: The main task of a recruiter is to teach users that have never reviewed a Good article nomination how to review one. To become a recruiter, all you have to do is meet this criteria. If we don't get at least 5-10 recruiters to start off with (at the time this message was sent out, 2 recruiters have volunteered), the Recruitment Centre will not open. If interested, make sure you meet the criteria, read the process and add your name to the list of recruiters. (One of the great things about being a recruiter is that there is no set requirement of what must be taught and when. Instead, all the content found in the process section is a guideline of the main points that should be addressed during a recruitment session...you can also take an entire different approach if you wish!) If you think you will not have the time to recruit any users at this time but are still interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still add your name to the list of recruiters but just fill in the "Status" parameter with "Not Available".
  • Co-Director: The current Director for the centre is me (Dom497). Another user that would be willing to help with some of the tasks would be helpful. Tasks include making sure recruiters are doing what they should be (teaching!), making sure all recruitments are archived correctly, updating pages as needed, answering any questions, and distributing the feedback form. If interested, please contact me (Dom497).
  • Nominators, please read this: If you are not interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still help. In some cases a nominator may have an issue with an "inexperienced" editor (the recruitee) reviewing one of their nominations. To minimize the chances of this happening, if you are fine with a recruitee reviewing one of your nominations under the supervision of the recruiter, please add your name to the list at the bottom of this page. By adding your name to this list, chances are that your nomination will be reviewed more quickly as the recruitee will be asked to choose a nomination from the list of nominators that are OK with them reviewing the article.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along.

James Sibree

I just wrote a fairly detailed article about the English missionary James Sibree from two web sources. He spent most of his career in Madagascar and was involved in the architecture of many churches there. He also wrote about lemurs. Anyway, I stayed up all night writing, and can't focus any more. I was wondering if you would have time to help organize it better and maybe add material from any sources you might have? In fact, I think he was mentioned on that larger French source I needed translated a while back for several other naturalists in Madagascar. In addition to the James Sibree article mentioned above, I was wondering if you'd have time soon to work on an even more important article: Alfred Grandidier. I've found a few English obituaries that provide a general overview of his life, but the best source is in French. Though I can read some of it and Google Translate can help to a limited extent, I was hoping you might be able to go much further with it. I saw your own comment at the Signpost calling the Teahouse a "woman centric" place. As a male and among the most active of the Teahouse hosts, my response is "not really". Hi Amakuru, great to hear from you. It's true, I think I got a little burned out, but I'm hoping to rekindle my motivation to the slow but steady level again as well. Congrats on getting Rwandan Revolution up to GA! I saw Brigade Piron pinged me on the review page, and this weekend if it's not already passed I'll have a chance to swing by and give it a read. Best of luck with Rwandan Civil War and Rwandan Genocide. These are massive topics and get a lot of hits (especially the last one) so these are no small task to take on. I hope everything's going well for you, busy as you are!

Someone has put a neutrality tag at the top of Paul Kagame and also started a discussion on the talk page, regarding supposed pro-Kagame bias in the article. And specifically regarding the indictment by a Spanish judge in 2008. I haven't responded yet, but I personally think the article still strikes the right balance between sourced facts, due weight of different theories in reliable sources etc. It seems like what to you and me looks like a fair balance between the strong pro-RPF viewpoints in Rwanda, and the strong anti viewpoints found in some sections of the international community, but I could be wrong on that.
