editing own comments

Hi. I hope you are doing well. I saw your edit summary of an edit on John M. Wolfstan's RfA, so I thought you might find WP:TALK#REPLIED interesting to read. Generally, to strike out comments editors use <s>...</s>

And to highlight the inserted text, they use <u>...</u>. Your edit was okay. But it is a good practice to add <small>CE'd comment at ~~~~~</small> (5 tildes)

But thats okay only if the edit doesnt change the meaning of original comment. If it is going to change the meaning, it is best to either strike out, or underline, or both. Most of the editors use CE as a short for copy-edit. But very few use CE'ed for copy-edited. —usernamekiran (talk) 06:53, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Patient Zero, hahah! I hope it's effective, because the concerns I expressed on the talk page are genuinely held. I'm well, thanks. I hope you are too – especially given your auspicious Wikipedia username. I'd be very happy for us to work together on law-related articles, if you're ever keen. It certainly was, and I completely agree with you. When choosing my username all those years ago I never thought anything like this would happen in a million years! Part of me was thinking of changing it as it does sound rather ominous now, but I’ve decided to stick with it! I am doing well, though, and I’m glad to hear that you are also. Doing a dissertation for my final year has proven somewhat stressful but coming on here and doing a bit of anti-vandalism work seems to help. :) That would be fantastic - I’ll take a look at that article now.
