Your VandalProof ApplicationDear Katalaveno, Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that you don't yet have the minimum of 250 mainspace edits. We sometimes make exceptions for people who've been around for awhile or have been heavily involved in meta work (WP namespace), however unfortunately you don't fit either of those catgories. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.
Welcome to VandalProof!Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Katalaveno! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. frothT C 03:30, 5 January 2007 (UTC) Vandal warningsThanks for your message. Yes, I think it is reasonable; after all, the system is designed to help bona fide editors, not vandals. Having said that, I don't know if there is a policy justification for that. --Guinnog 04:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC) 207.200.137.90Oops... that was me :). SorrySorry about the vandalism to beauty, it was a short joke to my g'friend and when I returned to return the page to exactly as it was it had already been removed. Thank you for your vigilance. a 160.79.91.4 19:32, 9 January 2007 (UTC) Edits(Very, very, weak, slow applause) Congrats. Is that what you want to hear? You surpassed me. Well, all your brag "Ha Ha Ha Ha Haaaaaaaaaaaa! I've got more edits than you!!!", is very... personal attack-ish. My Wikilove for this Wiki is deteriorating, as I see more and more, that as I get deeper into the community that is Wikipedia, the vandalism, corruption, and childs-play. Thanks. Me -- 23:21, 9 January 2007 (UTC) (P.S. Please don't mention this in real life......) Edits (again)Yay! All is well and I have returned (all thanks to you.) What is a quick way to boost your mainspace edits so I can follow in your footsteps and get to be armed with vandalproof? Thanks again, Tyson Moore 22:46, 10 January 2007 (UTC) Tyson Moore has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Smile to others by adding {{subst:smile}}, {{subst:smile2}} or {{subst:smile3}} to their talk page with a friendly message. Happy editing! Re: Terracotta Army vandalismHow would one go about ridding oneself of 12.217.127.116 etc and his vandalism on Terracotta Army? DUBJAY04 02:52, 12 January 2007 (UTC) See it? Like the template????? Tyson Moore 16:50, 19 January 2007 (UTC) Galician peopleHi Katalaveno Sorry about the vandalism to Galician people article, but I think that this article should be improved a lot, and also corrected , I am a galician and I dont agree with many things that have been written there without any reference or source , I´d like to correct those things for the improvement of the article. (I took that information from http://www.galiciantunes.com/ but I didnt know how to put the source). Thank you for your vigilance. Hugo22 0:08, 21 January 2007 (UTC) Gary OldmanYou know that IP you warned about the Gary Oldman article? Well it has vandalized the page again rather meticulously - can you please block the IP? Thanks. LuciferMorgan 03:46, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Reader RabbitYeah sorry about that. My brother took my account and started vandalising articles. It won't happen again. BarnstarI think you deserve it.
ReplyThe removal of warnings is currently a murky area, with some saying that doing so is disruptive to the community, while others say that constantly re-adding the warnings is both disruptive to the community and wastes server space. So I suggest to avoid using this as a rationale on WP:AIV. --210physicq (c) 03:40, 22 January 2007 (UTC) Happy Birthday!-- Tyson Moore 16:39, 22 January 2007 (UTC) Thank youI hope you don't mind. --Filll 20:30, 25 January 2007 (UTC) Thanks for the Barnstar and . . .Katalaveno, thank you so much for the barnstar. When I first got into patrolling the “Recent changes” page for vandalism, I saw other people using VandalProof and applied for it but was just below the number of edits they require for consideration. So, I have been doing all of my revising and warning and such without any program for help. Lately, I’ve been thinking about using something, mainly so my edit summaries are more detailed. But now I know that they are so many tools out there, and I am at a loss as to which one would be the best for me. Any ideas? Is VandalProof easy to learn and use?
