I have reverted your change to the Lulu (singer) article.
When viewing the article, it is seen that "Dennistown" is a mistake. Dennistown is a place in Maine, USA. Dennistoun is an area in north Glasgow, where Lulu is from.
I think the message you sent to me is unjustified.
Before changing the article back, please justify your change with relevant sources that Lulu was raised in Maine.
Kabbalah in film and fiction
I said that I was planing to remove that section days ago in Talk. If you objected, you should have said so there, instead of reverting the change as you did. If you find that list important, you should create a new article for it and link to the Kabbalah article. But there is nothing in that list that relates to traditional Jewish Kabbalah...which is the stated subject of the article. Kwork14:07, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Please remember that there is not deadline. I didn't say so before because I simply haven't seen the discussion, and it's not a crime, is it? Besides, please also remember that nobody owns articles on Wikipedia. If the section is not relevant in the Kabbalah article but is relevant somewhere else, then move it, don't delete it. This is precisely what you suggested on the talk page, yet that's not what you did. I strive to assume good faith on your part, but it seems it is slightly difficult to continue. Combination removed the DQ template on the DQ8 talk page a while ago,[1] and PresN posted a message on the project page to see if people would like to oppose[2]. Yeah, no problem. I'm not familiar with his edits though so you should give me a few precise diff links to show that all these accounts are (likely) the same person (several are editing the Worms Open Warfare article for instance, but not all accounts/IPs, are they?). I will do it in about 9 hours as I have to go right now (these checkuser stuff usually take quite a few days to be answered anyway, so we'll have to be patient either way). Also, yes, not all are - but while it hasn't ventured into sockpuppetry before, he has now used multiple accounts to revert, and not through the means of disconnecting and then reconnecting with a different IP, but going from an IP to a user name. Alright, these things are so complicated that I wasn't sure anymore if Request for Checkuser was really the appropriate place to go. Apparently, RFCU is for absolutely blatant vandalism and attacks, so I made a request in Suspected sockpuppets instead. Hey, thanks for referring me to WP: Spoiler for my edit to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. However, I believe there was justifiable reason to leave the spoiler alert in the article, namely this:
Soma then absorbs the entirety of Graham's power and comes to a stunning realization - he is Dracula's reincarnation. Arikado reveals that for Soma to escape from his destiny, he will have to confront the source of Dracula's power, Chaos, and defeat it. "J", now revealed as Julius Belmont, who defeated Dracula in 1999, attacks Soma, convinced that he is the new Dark Lord. Soma repels him, and convinces Julius that he is attempting to rid himself of his dark inheritance, and makes Julius promise to kill him should he fail.
The game possesses multiple endings depending on the result of the battle with Chaos. If Soma is victorious, he is freed of his fate and returned to the Hakuba Shrine; however if the battle is lost then Soma becomes the Dark Lord, leading Julius to come and carry out his promise. Due to the continuation of the story in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Soma defeating Chaos is considered canonical.
Within the Castlevania universe, this is important news, hence the spoiler warning.

Those mergers were done with discussions and consensuses regarding official policies, and not even by me by the way. Information that were lost were in violation of policies such as WP:FICT, WP:NOT, etc. Please do not revert them without opening a discussion on the WikiProject Video games or somewhere else. Please really do, because Wikipedia is not a jungle... Everytime you revert something without discussing, there will be hundreds of people to revert you. Wikipedia is built on principles, consensus, and discussion, not anarchy and unilateral actions. You can't build anything here by rash reverts and non-discussion. Kariteh08:18, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

My apologies. There is that element of promotion however the linkage is more for the connection of the artist/label to this particular genre of music. For example, Bunny Sigler is not known for his contribution to Soul music yet this external link will take the reader into an area unfamiliar and hopefully interesting to them. The Twisted Wheel site is non commercial and exists only to show the
importance this single venue in the 1960's had upon an entire musical movement.
I am at a loss as to your reasoning for the Deletion of the Darrell Banks article. I believe it to be most worthwhile and would prefer if you would edit it for expansion. Regards Docludi16:40, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

FFXII.us was allowed to stay there because nobody cared about the article until you came. It's that simple. Since Wikipedia is maintained by humans (and we're not even paid :( ), you may have seen some links which haven't been removed because no one noticed or cared about them yet. In any case, please understand that inclusion of one spam link is not a reason to include another. Many times users can be confused by the removal of spam links because other links that could be construed as spam have been added to the article (and not yet removed). The inclusion of a spam link should not be construed as an endorsement of the spam link, nor should it be taken as a reason or excuse to include another. That's not really a justifiable reason. That literally is saying that you have one rule for one website and one rule for another. The information maintained on Square Union is much more thorough than that on ffxii.us, so instead of removing the better external link and keeping the inferior one, you should either replace the inferior one or just remove them all. You shouldn't chose when you want to enforce the law and when you don't, because otherwise people will become disillusioned about what they actually can and cannot do. Clearly you cared enough to remove the link I placed up almost instantly, but you've left a site in the external links section which doesn't even have any real content to the section it is relevant to and I'm failing to see why. I would hardly call that "just answering the question". There were only 13 minutes between you removing the links and my posting that response. I hadn't actually checked the page, so I found your response rather rude. I appreciate you removing the links and for clearing up the position; I wasn't being overly defensive, just trying to figure out why some sites were allowed and others weren't, which I now understand, nobody else has taken the time to actually explain anything to me. :)

I dont understand why you have called them spam. I mean the external link to International Mobile Gaming Awards and the news which is related to the event. Actually we are partners for the contest and we need to inform and encourage mobile game developers to submit the games to the contest. As we have the news displayed in their official site in PDF I have give links to my site page where we have the same news in html. Hey Kariteh. About the non-Final Fantasy games featured in the recurring characters article, I didn't mean to remove the Chocobo's Dungeon 2 reference - I must have just removed that whole paragraph in a block. I must, however, disagree that Chrono Trigger or Kingdom Hearts belongs in a list of recurring characters in Final Fantasy games. Despite the fact that these are Square(-Enix) games, this isn't a list of FF characters who show up in other places. This is a list of characters who reappear throughout the series in and of itself - Final Fantasy games and their direct spinoffs (e.g. Chocobo's Dungeon, FFT, etc.). I have the impression that Square Enix games which are not FFs are usually mentioned when appropriate in the FF articles, so that's why I think they should be kept in this Recurring names article. Well, since it's such an obscure game (at least in non-Asian countries?), probably everything has to be cited. But I'm particularly curious about developer and publisher sources, like who was the original publisher of the game? Kingdom Hearts chain of memories
Okay, yeah, I deleted a section on a talk page because
1. The entire subject was ridiculous as the kid was freaking out over a curse word
2. It was NOT a legitimat subject anymore as it turned into a section for childish bickering.
Don't know if you are a fan, but this article, the first Star Fox game and Star Fox 2 are the only other non-GA Star Fox game articles, so that might be a good featured topic at some point. I've only played the first game on the SNES a long time ago so I don't know much about the series, but I'd gladly help with copyedit, etc. Anyway, a History (or Creation and influence) and an Audio sections would be nice. I don't know if there's enough information for Audio but there's probably enough for History (Star Fox 1 was famous for its Super FX chip, SFAdventures was not meant to be an SF, etc.). Also if the paragraphs are too small in Cancelled games and Related games maybe the 3 subheaders in each are unnecessary. One thing I didn't do in Mana and Chrono but which could be good is a Plot section that gives a broad overview of the story arcs of the series (I don't how much each game is related to the others though).
Well, in fact, the method that I actually used for Chrono and that I try to do with Star Ocean is to find interviews and articles, and to milk them for all their worth and build an article layout out of them, instead of the other way round. You could try this... Kariteh09:06, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

During our recent disagreement you have repeatedly introduced redundant information and tags, as well as practically empty sections to several articles. In connection with certain somewhat sarcastic quips in your edit summaries and your obviously strong opinions regarding the "Redemption" dispute in general, this might be considered disruptive and subsequently point-making, which could actually get you into trouble. I'm not going to report you (provided you stay clear of WP:3RR), but take my friendly advise and try a more laid-back and collaborative approach. Spira
I'm not attempting to "de-merge" the articles, or fly against consensus (though I don't see a relevant consensus related to the matter on the talk page for either article). The two were never properly merged in the first place, and I noted such in my edit summary. I even placed the appropriate mergeto tag on the article. The main Spira article doesn't cover many things the Locations in Spira article does, such as original Japanese names and lore details of various locations. I have no interest in having two separate articles, but I see no reason to terminate the Locations of Spira article until it's actually been merged. --Xanzzibar21:58, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
And a quick investigation shows why there's so much from Locations of Spira that's not in the main article. this edit removed all the information that was copied over. I already posted on there, even though I would've preferred being a bit more uninvolved. I just wanted to salvage some almost-lost information and move along.
But, on a related note, you should try a bit harder to assume good faith. I did, in fact, check the histories on the pages, and their associated talk pages to see what had happened with them. There was no relevant discussion to merge them (the split discussion is on the talk page, in fact), and the merge was just as "unilateral" as my change (unless there's a project page discussion somewhere that wasn't noted in any edit summaries or the article talk pages).
You should also avoid calling people disruptive without something solid to back it up (even if you couch it ambiguously), or telling them they're flying in the face of a consensus that doesn't seem to exist. All of this is doubly true when you consider that I put a detailed edit summary with my reason for the restoration, as well as included a mergeto tag indicating that the Locations of Spira should be merged into Spira (Final Fantasy). --Xanzzibar22:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. In this case it was because all the warnings on User talk:24.127.14.145 are from June, while there was only one instance of vandalism today. Usually we don't block unless there was vandalism after warnings or some evidence it's the same person behind the IP address. For accounts, it doesn't matter when the warnings were left. Just curious as to why you continue to delete the links I have added to the screamo section. I'm confused as to why somebody as yourself gets authority over that type of page, but regardless, all links added have been requested by numerous others to add, and are all frequented by fans of said genre (I would know), so they are not spam. This is common in American media, and please don't forget that Wikipedia is not a US encyclopedia nor any country-focused encyclopedia. It's an encyclopedia for all English-speaking persons. If the currencies mentioned in those football articles were concerning a British or an American player, maybe it would be interesting to note the £ or $ equivalents, but since they're French and Italian and the only related currency is Euro, there's no reason to mention equivalents in other currencies. Sorry to be rude, but I clearly put a reason as to why I removed the link, which was "Repeats the information already seen on the page". To re-justify myself, the link offers the same, if not less information than can already be seen on the page, so I don't see why it warrants a place in the external links section. If I'm wrong, don't stand in my way if I try to add all of the various pages that contain the same identical information about these soundtracks.
Wikipedia is not a link directory. Information that qualifies for inclusion in this encyclopedia are supposed to appear in this encyclopedia, not be mentioned to as a simple link. Kariteh19:30, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I know, I removed the link, not added it. You're the one who just put it back, not me. There is no purpose for it being there as it's just a link to a fansite containing the same information as the wikipedia page.
Before tagging a WikiProject as inactive, please look in the Special:Contributions of the active members and see if they are in fact working on project-related articles. WikiProject Snooker is the furthest thing from inactive; it simply already has a well-developed project page (i.e., no one is editing the project page) and most of the discussion that needs to happen with regard to the project's in-scope articles happens at the articles' talk pages. List of Final Fantasy titles
In the edit you say "FFI&II DS is was a compilation". The PSX versions are included in FF Origins (a compilation) and they are in the list o_O. All or none.
FFI&II DS is one cartridge, while FF Origins is two separate discs (plus these two discs were even released separately in Japan). Kariteh21:17, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Since you are so busy pulling up Wiki guidelines and such...you conveniently forgot to notice this line
"Links to be considered : For albums, movies, books, and other creative works, links to professional reviews."
I'm sure you didn't actually bother to read the reviews that were linked, you just went around deleting all the links just for the hell of it. Your comment totally mischaracterized the links included in the 10 articles you went and changed.
The site is NOT a personal site, it is not for commercial use...there isn't one advertisement on it, and other people use articles written on that site as sources for other Wiki articles. Of course I'm not going to tell you so that you can go and delete that stuff too.
Regardless of whether or not you feel like the review is warranted to be included on Wiki...there are over a million visitors to that site a year that would disagree with you.

Hello, I see you are taking interest in drakengard. I can contribute to it with soundtrack info. I wanted to know, does WP:SE have the same views as WP:FF regarding merging? I mean do you think I should create 2 new pages (two soundtracks), a "Music of Drakengard" page, or just leave it in the body of the article? I'd go for a "Music of" Style. Woah, un Français, cool! J'avais pas remarqué :) WP:SE isn't very active and those who are active there are also often participating in WP:FF, so I guess they have the same views regarding merging. Generally, the views are that a game can have a Music article if it has more than one soundtrack (for instance Final Fantasy Tactics has only one so it doesn't have a distinct page), so feel free to create a Music of Drakengard page. Maybe we can even put Drakengard 2 in there since it's the same composers.

CDC Travelers' Health link removal
While I understand that you require strict adherence to the external links policy, the CDC links I posted are not commercial and they provide relevant information to the page topic. In this particular case it doesn't really change anything from a reader's viewpoint, but more generally it's technically recommended to conform to XHTML instead of the old HTML codes. Removal of spoilers
About a month ago you messaged me regarding some content I removed. If you consider spoilers to Harry Potter books on a Final Fantasy VII discussion page to be legitimate comments, then perhaps you aren't one to be judging what is legitimate and what isn't. I haven't read any of them myself, but I know many others would be frustrated coming across spoilers for something so entirely unrelated. So in short, I don't appreciate being accused of vandalism for cleaning up unnecessary comments in a completely unrelated field. I may be new to editing Wiki, but that doesn't mean I don't have common sense. In some comments below, I see you've been "policing" elsewhere when it comes to spoilers, so you should know where I'm coming from. The comment in question did not add to the conversation, but merely lamented about spoilers in regards to FFVII by spreading spoilers of an unrelated book series. Please do not put words into people's mouth; it does not benefit the encyclopedia and the dialogue between contributors. No one wants to delete anything. The purpose of an Inactive template is simply to indicate the state of a wikiproject for new users who would stumble upon the page and ask themselves if the project is active or inactive. Its other purpose can also be to precisely stimulate this activity, by "awakening" former members of the wikiproject and reminding them that the wikiproject needs them. I don't think there's a totally clearcut definition, but the one I used is basically one month of inactivity on the project's page and talkpage. A project is also inactive if there's only one contributor (he or she can continue contributing, individually). The Australian Motorsport is inactive judging from the main page and talkpage; however, if there are still activity directly in the articles of the project despite having none on the main page, please feel free to remove the inactive tag (if you're not alone). With over 20 new articles of the same month of inactivity of the project page I'd dispute that Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian motorsport is inactive. Links to magazine reviews
Hi! Just a friendly question ... care to explain why to remove links to external reviews? Wikipedia external link page says that they welcome links to professional reviews and in many cases magazine reviews contain more information than the stub articles currently in wikipedia. Also, the reviews in question are used with permission and as the links don't alter page rank, adding them is not meant to redirect traffic from wikipedial. In my humble opinion, links to professional reviews are in many cases better than, for example, links to mobygames search result page. Thanks in advance!
Are you using them with permission from the person who scanned them or with the permission of the magazine publishers? In the first case, it's illegal. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia and so linking to copyrighted material like this is forbidden. You're free to summarize these reviews in a "Reception" section in each article though, since it's the point of the encyclopedia. See Final Fantasy VIII#Reception and criticism for an example. I completely agree with all your points in your first reply. However, the scans are user with permission from the magazine publishers. See http://www.worldofspectrum.org/permits/ (direct linking not does not work). While some of those "permits" only apply to WorldOfSpectrum.org, I have asked if distribution of the scans is okay outside of WorldOfSpectrum, and I got a reply that it is allowed. Adding a small mention about the "Reception" is a very good idea, but often a small summary of couple of sentences is not comparable to a proper professional review (with multiple pictures etc). I have intentionally not added links to reviews which are very small or do not contain significant extra information. arttuy
I would be very concerned about this. Such permission can come only from the original copyright holders, and not from any third party; so unless the copyright holder, the original publishing company, gives such permission, then links to scans of articles are (as Kariteh points out) absolutely forbidden copyright violations. In addition to games the lists also cover publishers, such as Dennis Publishing / Future Publishing (for example "Your Sinclair" in http://www.worldofspectrum.org/permits/publishers.html) That page contains contains correspondence with the original authors (not 100% legal copyright holders), but if you insist, I can provide my email corresponsence with Future Publishing (the current copyright holder of those magazines). I understand that one has to be very careful with issues like these, especially when it's about a super-high-profile site like Wikipedia arttuy
Well I guess it's okay if you have permissions from the publishing company. Just put a link/note/email copy in the talk pages of the articles so that nobody comes and removes these links hastily. Ideally, the reviews should still be summarized, and the links should be references rather than external links; but it's okay, that requires a bit of work and there's no deadline in any case. I truly feel that most of my external links were appropriate and useful as background to the wiki articles. I want to assure you that I am not looking for page rank increase. I want to be able to provide greater context to the wiki articles that recordonline.com has deeper coverage on. If you can let me know what you find appropriate and what is not I will be more than happy to resubmit content that you feel is useful (maybe not even to external links but in some other portion of the wiki article).

Wmpearl reverts
Hey, Kariteh. I too have some serious issues with Wmpearl, but your recent reverts of Wmpearl's inclusion of print references on multiple articles doesn't seem to meet WP:SPAM. In other words, just because an editor adds the same, non external link, print reference to multiple articles doesn't make it spam. In this case, it looks like Wmpearl is adding the same reference to multiple artist-related articles in order to substantiate and support the article (from what I can tell, it looks like some of the images were taken from the book in question). Finally, a quick reference check shows that the source in question, Lisa A. Yoshihara's "Collective Visions",[18][19] does indeed reference 131 artists in the state's public collection, so it is entirely reasonable to expect this source to exist in multiple articles. —Viriditas | Talk10:08, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:FT names
Well, my reasoning was that all featured topics are series anyway so including "series" in the FT's name would be redundant. The FT boxes still list the main articles with the "series" to dab between the first game and the series articles but the FT can be called "Devil May Cry" and still validly refer to the series without the extra word. Although your edits to 666 Satan and related articles are understandable, you must understand that going on a whim and renaming articles is not right to do, unless of course it is to say... correct a spelling or grammatical problem say if an article about a person had the last name lowercased, rather than capitalised as it should be. What you must also understand is that this is the english Wikipedia and not the Americanopedia. We have already discussed this and by consensus renamed the article from O-Parts Hunter to 666 Satan as viewable upon it's talk page. Please remember this from now on and if you wish to propose a name change, do so under the correct terms rather than just going on and doing things based on your own prerogative. In addition, declaring to other users they can "Cry all [they] want" is also a borderline personal attack I issue you fair warning to be careful of that. Yeah well, "piss off" in the idiomatic sense of annoying/angering someone, be it on purpose or not. Anyway, I agree with you, that a "Reception and legacy" section would improve the Music of Final Fantasy VII article, but not if it's empty or almost nonexistent, as this would have no value to our readers, WP:WIP or not. As I have suggested in an earlier edit summary, we could start on the article's talk page, for example by collecting reviews and comments on the game's music made by professional journalists or notable video game industry professionals and then write something up that has a little more substance.

A character section is necessary; it's not a simple game (that would be Tetris or Donkey Kong 1). Moreover, the OB64 article obviously needs to be more comprehensive since it's just a Start-class. There is nothing to trim and merge. It's just a bunch of segments of the story coupled by trivial details that don't deserve mention. Seeing as even if a character section is necessary, it will be very general, meaning that most of the information that can be considered good is useless. The only way to actually make one would be to do it from scratch. Even then, a perma-link will work better than leaving the article there until someone wants to "merge" it. The link has the advantage of time, seeing as that it will probably be a while before someone comes along. TTN22:07, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
There is something to merge. It at least shows a handy list of character names and some pictures, and these could be recycled in the main article. My edit of the Vivi section of Charachters of Final Fantasy IX does reflect WP: NPOV policy. I did not delete the use of the other name. I simply changed the title of the section to use the name used in the game manual and explained the controversey of the naming conventions in the intro of the section.
