TFL notificationHi, Krishna. I'm just posting to let you know that List of destroyers of India – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for December 5. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. New Page Review needs your helpHi KCVelaga, As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically). Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted. Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review. It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial. (Sent to all active AfC reviewers) MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:33, 15 November 2016 (UTC) Please comment on Talk:SingaporeThe feedback request service is asking for participation in this request for comment on Talk:Singapore. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Hi! The sub-sections of this list are quite complicated and not easy to surf. Currently they are divided as Chief of Staffs (A, N, A), Wartime Award Recipients (PVC, MVC, VC), Peacetime award recipients (AC, KC, SC). Can this be revamped to simple three sections as Army, Navy and Air Force? I know it's a lot of work but we would bring down 10 lists to just 3. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 10:23, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

ACC tool access request approvedKrishna Chaitanya Velaga, thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you are identified to the Wikimedia Foundation and approved your request. You may now access the interface here pending a tool root marking your account as identified in the tool database. Before you begin handling requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarise yourself with the process. Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list following the instructions on that page. I also advise that you also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and you can get real time advice on how to handle requests. Please note failure to correctly assess requests will result in suspension of tool access. Account creation is not a race, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Releasing personally identifying information (such as IP and email addresses), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated very seriously and will generally result in immediate suspension. Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, and you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked as "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at WP:PERM/ACC. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome! FastLizard4 (talk•contribs) 06:50, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
December 2016Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at User talk:PradeepKumar308. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been undone.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. MPS1992 (talk) 22:32, 4 December 2016 (UTC) Closing RfDsHi. Re this edit, to close an RfD you need to do more than just editing the redirect. You also have to put header and footer tags on the RfD discussion, and {{Old RfD}} on the talk page of the redirect. How to do it is explained at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Administrator instructions. On the RfD page there are links for keep/retarget/delete beside the redirect, which help by filling in an appropriate edit summary when you click them. I have already done this for Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2016 November 26#Ghair muqallideen - I was surprised to find the redirect already retargetted - but I am letting you know for next time. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You will notice that I archived one of the article’s citations (#1). I suggest that you archive the rest of the article’s URLs as time allows. This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and that it doesn’t develop "dead links" over time. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the URL in the citation and paste it in the "Save Page Now" box on the archive.org site and click "save". This creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new URL to add to the original citation. If you look at the URL I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new URL to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl=http etc|archivedate=9 December 2016}}. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use. I know you review many articles and have recently been involved in that process (including distractions by troll users on one of the pages you were reviewing), but it's been about a week now without any headway. My article is long so I'll be patient while you conduct your review. Based on your previous reviews and your experience with Wikipedia I have confidence you'll help improve the article. A classHello. You have four nominations open at the moment on WP:MHACR, some of which have outstanding comments from reviewers. I see you responded earlier to the comments on the list of frigates; I had intended to ask you to revisit that. I've un-transcluded Kodandera M. Cariappa for the time being. Please could you address the outstanding reviews first, and preferably wait for the reviewers to revisit in case they have more comments, before putting Cariappa back or nominating any more articles? Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:53, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
Hello Krishna, Sorry to bring this up again but I'm curious to know if this article can be re-assessed for GA nomination ? At Talk:Qamar Javed Bajwa/GA1, you wrote (1) "The Education section is too small and needs considerable expansion." I don't think we're missing anything related to subjects education. (2) "Expansion of career section is also required." I did research and I found we're missing nothing related to his career. (3) "More importantly the article is not stable." Looking the history page, I don't see any substantial information being added recently and no edit warring history on the page so far. (4) "Has lot of issues with the MoS, needs a thorough copy-edit from an experienced copy editor." This can be fixed at no time. Look forward your comment! --Saqib (talk) 15:06, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement. The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also. The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now. For the Milhist co-ordinators.
