I think the statement should remain out of the article unless a reliable 3rd party source is found, as per WP:RS. If you think that bit of trivia should be included despite that Wikipedia policy, feel free to ask about it on Talk:Genesis (album) so other editors can have some input on the issue as well. Tony BanksIf the edit was not vandalism, then I myself apologise. Removal of parts of articles is perfectly legitimate so long as you justify your decision on the talk page. Edits are also less likely to be identified as vandalism if you edit under a username, so if you had been logged in at the time I probably wouldn't have reverted it. Pointed, tactical deletions against consensus are edit warring, and persisting with such edits may (even with proper edit summaries) be considered vandalism. Your Talk page comment was posted while the AFD discussion was still current; since your points were directly relevant to the AFD, you might have receive more replies there. / edg ☺ ☭ 13:04, 13 January 2008 (UTC) re: my Keep It Dark editJphillst: you asked me: In the article on Genesis's Keep It Dark, is there any reason you took out the part about the band members playing on different downbeats? I felt this was an important aspect which contributed to the song's unusual structure. I didn't take it out - I replaced it with text that I thought was more accurate. Specifically: (1) I don't see any reason that syncopation doesn't describe the effect in the song, and (2) calling it a 6/4 time signature implies a composite meter - in this case, two beats per measure, the dotted-half note getting the beat, like a slow waltz - when, in fact, it's a simple meter and 3/2 is therefore a better choice. If you disagree on either count, we can take it to the talk page for the article and see what the consensus is.
