I don't understand your changes. [1] [2]. Please add edit summaries to all your changes so that other editors can understand your rationale. You have been editing since 2007 so you should know the routine by now. Thank you Anna (talk) 20:41, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

    • Going around telling people that they "should" do something is very rude and off putting. It would be much more helpful if you would start communicating with others in a way that was less rude and off putting. It would also be helpful if you did not go around reflexively destroying work editors had put in the effort to do just because you do not understand it. The above is not a good way to communicate with others and creates a harsh and unwelcoming environment which is not what editing Wikipedia would be best as.John Pack Lambert (talk) 20:47, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
You added this date in without a reference. The second birth date was not there until you added it. Anna (talk) 23:06, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
prior to my edit the line further down said that he was born in 1605. That was what it said in the article.John Pack Lambert (talk) 23:52, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
  • If you go back to the version in 2022 under the heading early life it states that he was born in 1605. All I did was move that statement which earlier was lower down in the text to also be in the header. The header should reflect what is in the article. There was mention of 1605 in the article Ling before I edited the article.John Pack Lambert (talk) 23:55, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
