From what I understand on Wikipedia, we try to avoid using non-Latin scripts in article titles, and that's exactly what you're doing here. Why is the transliteration not sufficient? --Golbez (talk) 17:44, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 21Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. I think you are not quite familiar with Hindustani pronunciation. Please see the fourth paragraph in this section. The Urdu pronunciation IS indeed eh+mud (you can check that out on my user page, for I too, have Ahmed in my name). In Urdu, if a schwa alone comes before an h, followed by no other vowel, or if the h is surrounded on both sides by schwas, a fronting of the vowel(s) occurs to an /ɛ/ sound, rather than the schwa. To you, it might seem odd, because you may have never heard it that way. You may ask anyone. To me the aah- pronunciation seems odd, for we always say eh-. Moreover, the pronunciation of a schwa can never become an aa sound, because the orthography rules omit the vowel between a and h, which implies a hidden SHORT vowel. I am not an inexperienced user who just wanted to put up a wrong or a localised pronunciation. I can give you another example. Many english people say Taj Mah+hal, which is quite incorrect. The correct one is Taj Meh+hell. Got it? I hope this explanation is enough. I am reverting it back. Regards.
