An editor has nominated Joe castillo, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joe castillo and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:59, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
My goal is to get em all done by the 20th. But I'll be up late today, and by the time I go to sleep, I'll probably have around 600 pages left :) - Milk'sFavoriteCookie01:52, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: Barnstar
Vandal Whacking Stick
For keeping it cool being attacked some, (definitely not) several,(no...) many, (nah...), uncountable (yeah, sounds right) times by vandals, and a particular one who kept bothering him from several different I.P.'s, I - Milk'sFavoriteCookie 02:09, 10 February 2008 (UTC), hereby award you this barnstar. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie02:09, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
That was unexpected, or rather I thought you would wait till I got all assessments done. Here are some for you. The first one I was looking for days, when you were being attacked by the guy (you know who), for that edit. I just somehow came upon it. The second one is, well.... yeah.... you know. Congrats :) - Milk'sFavoriteCookie02:10, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, it seems to work on my computer. Ok: When you click 'Save' after making you edit(s), click 'Start' as soon as the first scroll bar goes by in the bottom left hand corner of you screen. The edit count thing on your AWB screen won't update, but the edit has been made in real wikipedia. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie04:13, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Just to let you know that a new template has been created for one of the queries your answered to. Please see this to understand what I mean. The template explains about Capitalisation to the IP.
BTW, yesterday while coming back - this was funny - this guy was going 95 when the snow is heavy and there are two cop cars right ahead of him who already pulled another guy over. You can guess what happened after that. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie17:36, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for supporting me!My RfA passed with a final tally of 5 neutrals, 1 oppose and 148 supports, a turnout I couldn't have dreamed of. I'm going to do everything I can to help out the community, help with sysop tasks, and of course, contribute to the encyclopedia. If you ever need a hand with something, feel free to give a shout! Cheers! Master of PuppetsCall me MoP!☺17:53, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Was this image re-uploaded a second time after a Speedy Delete earlier today? It was first uploaded on Feb. 8 and I tagged it for SD today. Now, it has a new history and an upload date/time stamp of this afternoon.
Thanks for the quick reply. Once a page is deleted, isn't the uploader required to ask you to undelete it, instead of the uploader putting back the deleted image a second time? JGHowestalk - 20:07, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
How to redirect a page, and where the guidelines are for Wikipedia. The other one asked me to delete one article that he/she made, but I told him it looked good and it did not have to be deleted. But he/she hasn't replied yet. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie01:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, usually action will be taken much faster than if you just leave me a message on my talk page (due to there being 1500 other admins...). :) jj137(talk)03:31, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I usually know if I've been reverting vandalism for maybe 10-20 minutes and I'm able to tell whether there's a ton of vandalism or not so much. Then, if you want to change it, just go to Template:Vandalism information (shortcuts WP:VINFO, WP:DEFCON) and change the "info", "sign", and "level" to the new values. jj137(talk)22:59, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I expanded the article some. Also, I see you got your ref from the BR Bullpen. :) Yeah, I'm a pretty active contributor there... jj137(talk)02:33, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I am new on Wikipedia and I would like to join WP: Red Sox. Stormtracker94 is my best friend and classmate and he told me about you. So come to my talk page. I live in Franklin, MA, but I am origally from NY. I used to be a Yankees fan. Just forget it --I love Porsches (talk) 23:56, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
spam block
That's what I get for not looking at the contribs closely enough. I should have just removed it from AIV. Amazes me how many users skip that part about how vandalism has to be ongoing and recent. Daniel Case (talk) 18:51, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I wasn't so timely in my observation and reporting. The only reason the reported user made no edits for several weeks is because spam links were not immediately noticed by anyone and were allowed to remain. The reported user has edited the article in question thirteen times since 23 November 2007. Ten of those edits involved adding the same spam links, mostly after others have removed them. 71.59.102.86 (talk) 19:35, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Milk'sFavoriteCookie is wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day, JJ137! This greeting promotes WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Happy Valentine's Day, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.
Thanks! I've finally given up. AWB is too slow. I started doing them manually, and I found out it happens to be 20x faster :), I do 3-5 a minute compared to like 1 every two mins with AWB :) So I should finish sooner :) - Milk'sFavoriteCookie20:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Wow, that's really good. Not that I know there isn't; if there is, the reviewer will probably tell you when you nominate it. jj137(talk)21:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Alright! I assessed over 250 today! Under 200 left now :). Also, I'm going to try to merge 'Red Sox all-time roster' with 'List of Boston Red Sox Players' - who knows? - FL? - Milk'sFavoriteCookie01:00, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Jj37. I'm actor Troy McClure. You might remember me from such PP requests as Dodge Dart and Plymouth Valiant. (OK, I'm done channelling Phil Hartman now...)
The IP editor who repeatedly disrupted Chrysler Hemi Engine, leading to that article's indefinite PP at my request [1], and who has behaved likewise at Ford FE engine, is now behaving similarly at Hemi engine, see e.g. [2], [3] with similar talk page belligerence. Attempts at unencyclopædic article ownership seem especially common in the automotive categories, perhaps due to an abundance of editors with more zeal for their favourite cars and engines than interest in improving Wikipedia articles. Chrysler Hemi engine, Dodge Dart, and Plymouth Valiant have benefitted greatly from indefinite PP; editors are coming in and coöperatively improving these articles. Do you think similar long-term semiprotection would be warranted at Hemi engine? If so, I'll ask for it. It seems to me some editors willfully remain unregistered so as to circumvent Wikipedia's provisions for dealing easily and efficiently with problem editors. —Scheinwerfermann (talk) 03:01, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Regrettably, I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the last of 'im. I initiated a Wikiquette alert earlier today and politely informed its subject; so far the only response is the predictable one from the problematic editor. I wonder if he thinks I'm somehow behind SineBot's exasperation with him, given his odd tendency not only to refuse to sign his comments, but to go back in after Sinebot and delete the autosignatures! —Scheinwerfermann (talk) 04:22, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Repeated: :::::Alright - never mind then. I'll start a Celtics portal :). Also, you all the assessments should be done my tomorrow ^.^ That better? - Milk'sFavoriteCookie22:28, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I have removed rollback privileges from User:Tasc0, to whom you had given the button last month [4]. He has, on a number of occasions recently, used rollback to revert non-vandalism. He was reported for 3RR, which was an incorrect report as he had reverted only twice, but upon examining his edits, I found that this user had used rollback in this content dispute and, from looking at his contributions, in several others. I wanted to let you know since you originally assigned the privilege so that you can review the action. Thank you. --B (talk) 19:53, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Well C+P would be useless. I have to copy the assessment info remember. This little thing comes up on the bottom when I type 'as' or just 'a' - that's why I get em done so fast. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie22:42, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
You see, this is what happens to the edit summary when I go to fast (the one to the left). One time it was worse (I'm sure you can guess). JS: Edit summary tab (Thanks) , Quickedit, Wikied (thanks), Twinkle (who doesn't), Friendly, Popups, Lupin, Extraeditbuttons, and Friendlywelcome. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie22:55, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Alright. Didn't see the licensing. All assessments have been done from that list (except for the uncreated ones). Can I create a subpage and list them there? - Milk'sFavoriteCookie01:04, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the portal. I'm going to go work on it now. I created the uncreated article page here. I'm going to finish up tomorrow. Also, why is this person, in the Category of 'Boston Red Sox Players'? - Milk'sFavoriteCookie01:42, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
deletion
If you want to delete what i do on a page, why don't you at least actually read what i did before you revert everything back, thereby removing additions i made. I didn't see any explanation for your deletion of my added content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.239.202.126 (talk) 02:48, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I did remove "sourced" content and, yes, i didn't give any reason. You did the same thing. That's all I'm saying. Thanks for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.239.202.126 (talk) 04:18, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't know - I asked Wizardman to look it over one more time (he failed it last time). But, he also happens to be on a Wikibreak. Any last suggestions before I nominate it? - Milk'sFavoriteCookie15:25, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Dear Jj137, here is a little note to say thank you for your kind vote on my request for adminship which succeeded with a final result of (29/5/5).
I cannot thank you enough for you're support on my RFA. And now that I am a sysop, I will work hard to improve the encyclopedia with my new editing tools. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any queries you have. I would be glad to help you along with the other group of kind and helpful administrators.
I'll get started. Also, did you know, that someone (name has slipped my mind), on their first RFA got nominated and it failed. On their second one they got nominated... and he withdrew. On the third one he did a self-nom and passed with over 240 supports? Wow. Didn't think that was possible. - Milk'sFavoriteCookie22:23, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
