I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place License tagging for Image:Judith-novel.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Judith-novel.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:08, 25 January 2007 (UTC) Orphaned fair use image (Image:BrianC.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:BrianC.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thanks for uploading Image:Front Cover Image-2nd Edition-2b.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. Image copyright problem with Image:Brian - RTE Still (Original 1962) Low Res.jpgThank you for uploading Image:Brian - RTE Still (Original 1962) Low Res.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. The notable alumni list is growing into an example farm. Actually, it already is one. I've not reverted your new addition to this list, but have instead raised the issue on the article talk page. I'm sure it wasn't your intent to edit war, but it might have been better to have opened discussions on the talk page yourself before adding another name to the list after seeing the edit summary. In any case, I've tagged the article section as an example farm and have raised a discussion on the talk page if you'd like to join in! ColdmachineTalk 21:29, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. Notification of automated file description generationYour upload of File:Condensed Milk Company 2005-2.JPG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page. This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Don't know who often you may have done similar things in other articles. Please note that Potter was born in Belfast in 1918 and therefore had a UK passport. I know that "British" may include England, Scotland and Wales, but not Northern Ireland. Yet I think in this case a British category is not wrong. User:Ser Amantio di Nicolao this morning (9 June 2015) included a British category in about 30 articles relating to Irish composers (on my watchlist), all historical people, where this is justifiable, don't you think? The name of Cecil Sheridan's wifeI was reading <<On reflection>> written by Cecil Sheridan's son, Noel Sheridan. The part which is called "The Head"(pp.153~164) of the book was dedicated to his father Cecil. I found the name of his mother not Ann Doyle but Nan Doyle on the page of 159. Where did you get the name of Cecil's wife? Can you double check it? 선의의 바람 (talk) 01:02, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

Jacob's awardHi, Jim. It's actually a good article (well done) and I was glad to see it there, years ago. Although the article needs citations, I don't dispute any of the contents, which are accurate. It's just that the citations are missing for what I described as the "bulk" of the article, by which I mean most of its length contains lists of awards (sections Winners – multiple awards and Winners – full details), only a handful of which have citations. The preceding prose sections are all well referenced. The article recalls amusing memories of the awards ceremony at which famous actresses and on-screen personalities in elegant evening gowns could be seen tottering precariously on high heels after numerous visits to the free bar, and Frank Hall mounted a table and banged an empty Jacob's biscuit tin with a dinner spoon to call on the Taoiseach to sing. The leader of the nation, also being very well lubricated by free drink, freely obliged. Attendees in formal evening wear were collected from home by a black Princess limousine (very far from which most of them were reared) and were delivered back, very much the worse for wear, at the end of the night. The legendary occasion is missed. — O'Dea (talk) 11:03, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
