The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Thanks, I'm sure somebody, if not myself, will come to it soon, but I should focus on the older nominations first. At first sight, I would worry a bit about oversplitting of sections and short paragraphs, especially single-sentence paragraphs, which we should avoid per MOS:LINEBREAKS. Ha! I accidently stumbled across this and realised that all of the articles are now FAs, bar Hundred Years' War, 1345–1347, which wasn't even an article then and is now a FAC waiting for the last reviewer to come back before, I hope, being promoted and completing the set. Your Review of the Battle of the Wilderness
@Jens Lallensack: - Thank you so much for reviewing the Battle of the Wilderness. The article is a rewrite of the B-class version originally written by Hal Jesperson User:Hlj, who is mostly retired. I was concerned enough about changing an article with 20,000 to 30,000 views per month that I consulted with others, including Hal, before making changes. In addition to the Peer Review, there is a "Pre-Peer Review" currently on my talk page. Many of the charts were done by Hal, and much of the wording is his. I added info about the cavalry, removed some junk that had accumulated over the years, and altered text in some cases to fit the citations. There are 23 footnotes, mostly to keep from getting off-task and to present alternate views. I'm sorry the article is so long, but it is a High Importance and Vital article on an important battle that was complicated. Thanks again TwoScars (talk) 16:50, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

You reviewed a long article of 100k bytes—very impressive. Some day, but not in the immediate future, I may try to get an article up to Featured Article. How close or far is Battle of the Wilderness? If you can recall, way back at the beginning of the year, Homo antecessor was at FAC but I became inactive and have been since then. I finally have some time so I may try to restart it in the coming days, but you still had some unresolved comments before I left which I want to make sure are resolved beforehand. Good to see you are back! Article looks good now. The last thing I am worried about is that you turned the Stringer diagram into a cladogram, which I think is problematic because 1) it is not a cladogram, 2) it does not precisely reflect the source, and 3) is WP:Synth. Hi, thanks for working on this important article. Unfortunately I will be travelling starting this weekend and won't have time. However, I had a quick look and can give you a few pointers:
make sure all sentences end with inline citations
avoid single-sentenced paragraphs. Make sure there always is a coherent text and a logical flow of information. The problem is especially evident in the "2022" section, which looks like a random collection of facts.

Hello! Would you be able to review Europasaurus in German Wikipedia?
Hello, I saw that in 2018 you extensively contributed to a review of the Winter War article, which was eventually promoted to a FA. I wish to again have your advice in peer reviewing the successor to that war, the Continuation War, before nominating this article to go from GA to FA.
This month has seen an incredible amount of activity creating high quality content, with 3 FAs, 3 FACs, and a veritable flood of GAs and GANs, not to mention the FLs and FLCs. To help maintain this high level of activity going forward, WikiProject Tree of Life is starting a new monthly rolling contest, inspired by the contest run by WikiProject Military History. This contest should hopefully help incentivize editors to contribute in ways that are less daunting than writing articles that are GA and FA-quality. Even improving articles from stub to start class, or helping other editors by reviewing their work at GAN, FAC, or FLC, gets you points, with bonus points for articles with especially high page views. Make sure to participate in any way you can, and help improve the 'pedia while having fun and winning Barnstars!

Ohmdenosaurus description (Wild, 1978)
Hi, congratulations on getting Ohmdenosaurus to featured status! I was wondering if you had access to Wild's original 1978 description paper ("Ein Sauropoden-Rest (Reptilia, Saurischia) aus dem Posidonienschiefer (Lias, Toarcium) von Holzmaden"). The first edition of our new monthly contest had perhaps a little less participation than I hoped for, but it still resulted in a huge amount of content work, mainly focussed on de-stubbing articles on little-known species, although we did also see two GAs for Holozoa and Hypericum perforatum. Overall, over 60 articles were improved, with most going from stubs or redlinks to fully fleshed out articles. The winner this month was Simongraham, who improved 21 articles about spiders, mainly to B and C class, and racked up 70 points, over twice the next highest. Hopefully, we'll continue to see such great work next month, with even more participants and even more articles improved.
Also anyone who wants to help coordinate the contest can just drop by at the talk page, I really need help.

The second edition of our monthly contest was even better than the last month, with 80 articles improved spanning the entire tree of life. The winner this month was Quetzal1964, who contributed to 47 articles, mainly relating to marine fish, and racked up 81 points in the process. In second place was simongraham, who got 60 points from 14 articles on various species of jumping spiders. simongraham is still at the top of our overall standings, with 130 points, and Quetzal1964's close behind on 108.
