Nicki Minaj

High fives for getting Nicki Minaj up to good! We worked tirelessly. I see that you nominated Madonna now. I went through and did some copyediting, stopping at the music video section. The article is so long and copious, I couldn't bare the thought of your going through it along. I know I would be daunted. Well, I'll keep an eye on it, while you're going through the changes and what not. If you don't mind, could you possible give me a second opinion on Porcelain Black. I've been working on that article nonstop for months now, and it would be nice to see what someone else thinks of it, even if it's just a minor glance. If not, that's totally cool. Thanks. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 07:23, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Would you? That would be amazing. I nominated it a few minutes ago. That said, I should give you some background. My original intent was to come to Wikipedia to experience the good article evaluation process. See, I'm a bureacrat on a Wikia wiki. Currently, our article promotion method is flawed, so I came here to learn to ropes and practice. I want to review an article of my own sometime soon, but I'm a bit intimidated. I definitely want some more experiencing learning what a good article is before I try to match one up to a standard I don't yet know. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 11:34, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
An invaluable tool. Thanks! I intended to review Madonna, but, to be honest, I think that's a bit beyond me right now. Although I know her and her work quite well! I think I'll try something a bit smaller for now. Thanks again! You've been so helpful. :)--Thevampireashlee (talk) 12:12, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I wanted to start reviewing Be Our Guest, which was listed on the nomination page. But, it appears the nominator opened the review themselves, and now things are messed up. I left some initial comments on the review page, but it's not showing up on the nomination page or the article's talk page. Did I do something wrong? :X --Thevampireashlee (talk) 14:07, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to just add them manually. All's well now. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 22:18, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem at all! I sure hope so. We "trainwrecks" as she so endearingly calls her fans have been waiting upwards of six years for an album. First from Virgin Records, now from RedOne. I hope she is "the next big thing." At any rate, I'm so glad you dedicated the time to reviewing this. I never thought I would see the day this would become a GA. It was nominated for deletion once, and faced deletion multiple times under her previous stage name. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 21:02, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Who's album are you waiting for, if I might ask? --Thevampireashlee (talk) 22:04, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've made a start on reviewing this. Comments will appear at Talk:Madonna (entertainer)/GA1. FWIW my credentials on reviewing this are largely due to hearing the music through the radio, via (usually) female friends singing it, and the odd cover band, so I'm aware of the basic content, but not a close enough fan to get in the way of a neutral point of view. --Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 20:24, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The GA review is now complete and "on hold". Please see the review page for further comments. --Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 20:57, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I was about to pass the GA review, but I notice you are still making changes, including new images, so I'm holding off for the time being until your work here is complete. --Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:11, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The GA review has passed. Well done - that's the hardest and longest GA review I've done. But hopefully it's now on the road back up to FA status. Thanks to you and the others who have helped get the article to GA status. --Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:46, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hey

Congratulations on the Minaj GA. I'm sorry I couldn't get around to helping with it, I got busy, but it seems it didn't matter. Were there further comments on the Monster GA review? I addressed the current concerns. Bruce Campbell (talk) 00:08, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello? Bruce Campbell (talk) 01:42, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It has been over three weeks. I have messaged you twice now, and you have been editing elsewhere. I do not want to bring this up in the GAR talk page, but I am being forced to. Bruce Campbell (talk) 20:57, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Madonna

Hello, nice to meet you. Congratulations because Madonna is a good article. I have some things to talk to you about she:

According to a note published by newspaper Clarín (Grupo Clarín) when Time the enlisted as 25 Most Powerful Women of the Past Century. Madonna she has sold more than 500 million records ww. Different media in Spanish (and other language latín: french, italian...) have made it known that she has sold that many musical productions, Terra Networks e.g. (p=4). Maybe you should put: She has sold between 300 and 500 million records worldwide.

In 2008, the british tabloid The Sun, named her as the woman who will never be forgotten ("50 female singers who will never be forgotten). Here is a link to Yahoo! Brazil (archived from the original with Internet Archive).

It was just so taken into account. Sorry for my english. Regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 15:53, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edits to Misha B do not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Sionk (talk) 21:05, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On the whole, I definitely really appreciate your copy-editing and all round improvements to the Misha B article Thank you, I was looking for some wiki love badge just before our 'argument' over content.

I think (bad memory here) that I thought the thatsgrapejuice site was no longer a one person blog but a new/mag blog and that despite its bog format it was a reliability of a source depends on context. ( e.g 'Each source must be carefully weighed to judge whether it is reliable for the statement being made and is the best such source for that context.' - I believed it to be reliable in context). Minor point I got mixtape from the manual of style for musicians....Zoebuggie☺whispers 10:59, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rowling

Every interview is like gold dust :-) I have a similar but far worse problem editing Emily Watson's page, as she hardly ever gives interviews and has been practically subterranean of late. I found the Guardian interview very interesting, not least because it was in the Guardian, and Rowling usually only speaks to the Telegraph. I suppose it took the Guardian a while to realise she wasn't an icy toff. Serendipodous 16:02, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I will not kid myself by saying I won't read it, of course I will, but I might wait until the price drops and the reviews are in. If I end up hating it, it will be doubly painful. Serendipodous 09:07, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
