Hi, you closed an RfC Talk:Marjorie_Taylor_Greene#extremist. The subject of the close was if the term would be used in the WP:LEDE. On another note, are you a new account created two weeks ago (with no prior wp exp) and you are closing RFCs? Do you feel you have the experience necessary to do that? (Apparently you do, but please explain). Thanks! Jtbobwaysf (talk) 19:16, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
Isabelle is more experienced than you and specified that the consensus was for the term "as presented in the RfC" and linked to the diff in the lede. ––FormalDude(talk)19:58, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi Jtbobwaysf! I wouldn't mind clarifying that the RfC was indeed about a change (or lack thereof) in the lede of the article, though I believed that to be clear from the diff I added to the closing statement (the same one presented in the OP). Concerning my experience as an editor, I'd imagine you confused me with another user or misread something, as my account is about 13 years old (though I've been editing the English Wikipedia for a much shorter time). Isabelle🏳🌈20:06, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the clarification. I guess I mis-read when I looked at your contributions. 13 years is certainly enough to close RFCs. :-) Apologies. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 21:41, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
Hello, Isabelle Belato. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Boxer Books".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Hey there Isabelle – Appreciate the offer to help me out here!
I have a question for you – related to why I signed up to edit. I'm part of an organization called Ashoka. Someone at my organization recently made me aware that we will need to shift the Ashoka wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashoka_(non-profit_organization) ) according to new branding / picture guidelines that are coming out.
And that said, I'm also noting two things:
1) The conflict of Interest page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest ) states that people with a possible COI should refrain from making edits unless they're very small ones. The edits proposed for now would not be foundational and not to self-promote; it'd be to shift the logo, and to update the tagline (we're now Ashoka: Everyone a Changemaker, instead of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public).
2) Wikipedia / Jimmy Wales is an Ashoka Fellow – aka within Ashoka's network – and so the edit (on top of us using Wikipedia) may also complicate things a bit; given that Wikipedia is supposed to be a collaborative editing effort rather than organizations going in and editing things when elements are updated.
The above all said, I'm wondering if you may offer me some guidance on how the edits can be done without compromising the above COI, as we do need some things to be updated in line with the upcoming branding revamp. AND we do not want to cross the current policy / respect what is being done. I'm aware of the clause in COI around handling requests from folx like me on the COI page itself under "Dealing with edit requests..." As such I thought to be transparent and up front before making the edits we desire to do, and see if there may be a way to get them implemented without compromising COI.
I'm totally happy to pass by the edits in more detail when I have them if that would be best. Or if you have an idea of how this should go then I'm open to that too. --LavenderGroves (talk) 17:20, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi there, LavenderGroves! Thanks for reaching me. If I understood you correctly, the path you should take is quite a simple one: as soon as the changes related to the company are made public, you should open an edit request at the article's talk page, stating what you want changed and providing the appropriate sources. Considering these are minor changes that can be sourced to primary sources, it should go fine, though might take a while to go through the queue. It's not a guarantee that they will be accepted, though. Isabelle🏴☠️20:01, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
I made no gender related edits. Please no do not vandalize my talk page. I am going to remove your edit but not report it as I am not sure if you confused me for somebody else.Thespearthrower (talk) 04:14, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I want to publish information about my company on Wikipedia to show up on google search page. Please help me out. --Huksons (talk) 05:00, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi Anonymous321 980896, and welcome to Wikipedia. I'd first recommend you become acquainted to the project by learning how to contribute. For example, I love children's literature, so I'm often correcting typos, adding sources and expanding them.
Hi Maharajca, and welcome to Wikipedia! Just like it says in the main page, anyone can edit, meaning you don't need to ask permission to edit articles in the project. Spend some time reading the introductory pages, and then try editing articles that are of your interest. Isabelle🏳🌈20:28, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
ETS Surgery
Hi. You removed my link for www.etssurgeryawareness.org. That's fine, but I think deleting the entire text passage, giving people the name of a cited and referenced website is not necessary. It is a helpful source. Can I put it back up without the link as that had already been deemed acceptable and checked? Thank you. CathF83 (talk) 21:33, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi CathF83. Without reliable sources that show the notability of that website's creation, it looks like an ad and no, you should not add it back to the article. I see you've opened a discussion at the talk page, which is the correct procedure. I can leave my thoughts there if need be, but it would be the same I said here. My recommendation would be to suggest it is added as an external link. Isabelle🏳🌈21:55, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
It is an awareness website for no gain. It is fully cited and referenced. It isn't advertising, it is an awareness publication, all the side-effects are referenced from peer-reviewed studies and it properly referenced to physical & emotional affects. This is to help people. It is not for any gainful purposes and is completely relevant to the subject and matter at hand. The website is being used internationally to learn more, and all medically referenced, just like wikipedia itself. CathF83 (talk) 23:19, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by MurielMary was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Dinah Johnson and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
Hello, Isabelle Belato!
Having an article draft declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there! MurielMary (talk) 09:19, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
I'm late, but I'd like to add one! I've just seen the closure notification of the block evidence discussion in today's admin newsletter. Thank you very much for your work. As there was clear disagreement about the correct interpretation of the policy, and the RfC has finally resolved this disagreement, it's one of the most important RfCs in this area I have seen for quite a while. I'm especially happy about the closure clearly stating that the policy should be adjusted to match the community consensus in a less ambiguous way. If the closure didn't say this, we'd have yet another huge discussion about its implementation today. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:52, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the message ToBeFree! When closing discussions like this, I try not only to note the consensus, but how participants should procede next, when that's also clear in the discussion (and the previous ones, when those exist). Isabelle🏳🌈12:25, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi there, Nobominkemele, and welcome to Wikipedia! If you want to start editing, all you have to do is find an article that interests you, and press the "Edit" button. I'd also recomendo you go through the community's tutorial to learn more details on how to edit and contribute to the project. Isabelle🏳🌈19:47, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
@David10244: To see the code you can simply press the edit button wherever I've left my signature. And yes, the flag is just an emoji, which I add by using the Windows+. shortcut. Isabelle🏳🌈19:34, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for your diligence with that IP editor who was making so many Chan-related edits. Those edits didn't last long before they were reverted so thank you! LizRead!Talk!05:35, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the way that you dealt with my concerns at your RfA which could easily have been dismissed. I am sure that you will make an amazing admin. Gusfriend (talk) 10:09, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
For your good service to Wikipedia. Also you are moving forward towards admin-ship. Wish you all the best. :) DMK-C5 (talk) 13:54, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

The possibility that a negative experience is what had driven you to the English Wikipedia did not cross my mind when I had asked the question, and I did not mean to make you dwell upon previous incidents in which you were demeaned or otherwise mistreated. I would like to apologize for bringing you to dwell upon that and I wish you the best of luck with the RfA! — Red-tailed hawk(nest)04:45, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi Red-tailed hawk. Don't worry about it! While I usually don't talk about it, since it feels a bit self-serving, I've always been open on why I left the Portuguese Wikipedia when asked. I'm just glad I found a place that feels much more welcoming to users! Isabelle Belato🏳🌈11:01, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
+1. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, especially during an already-stressful time. That comment didn't represent our community, and I hope you never doubt that you are welcome and appreciated here. Levivich (talk) 04:52, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
With Levivich, I'm sorry you had to deal with the unacceptable message. The admin also, had a history of editing messages like that, and furthermore, the account is not compromised. But I'm sorry you had to go through that nonsense and uncomfortable comment. Sarrail (talk) 12:17, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Hello, we (we created an account together so we could edit at the same time) are a little confused on the signature part of the wiki. I have edited other wikis before, but I don't know how any other one would work. Thanks!
Ella & Sophia joint (talk) 15:35, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
One more question: we were wondering if we could make a page about chickens. One of us has chickens, and there doesn't seem to be a page about the disease we found a cure for. I can go into more detail, but if we cite and fact check everything would we be allowed to create a page? How would we even create it if so? Thanks a bunch
Ella & Sophia joint (talk) 17:33, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
You will be an amazing administrator, Isabelle. (Kinehore.) I wouldn't presume anything about how you feel right now, but I hope you can see you have the resounding support of this community, not just as an admin candidate but as a person worthy of respect—even if a few notable dissents can, by virtue of their scarcity, stick out more and thus feel louder than they are. I know that you and I have disagreed before on the nuances of how Wikipedia handles hate speech, but I know we're in agreement that it must not stand. I hope you know that, as an admin, I am always around to step in against any user who engages in hate speech (although you may be able to handle that yourself soon—again Kinehore). And I hope you know that, as a person, and as someone who can relate to receiving RfA opposition for being nonbinary (I couldn't say that before, but I guess there's at least one now we can reasonably suppose was motivated by that), I am always available by email/IRC/Discord if you want to talk.
@Tamzin: Thanks, truly. I hold you high regard, and seeing your support at the RfA was great.
I also wanted to take this opportunity say thanks to all who decided to stop by and leave a kind message, and those who have done similar elsewhere. While I'm used to the occasional troll, it cuts much deeper when the words come from an experienced member of the community, a fact which I'm sure has also affected many other editors. This RfA has been a wild ride, I appreciate how seriously the community has treated this matter, and I hope y'all will forgive me if I sit this one out. Isabelle Belato🏳🌈20:28, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
I've been pondering saying something all day, but I think your grace with avoiding the controversy elsewhere, and carrying on working on the project while keeping an eye on RfA questions, shows good judgement and character, and I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with your name at WP:RFX200. Best of luck with the rest of the RfA, anyhow. (As nobody else mentioned it, the picture on my support !vote was one of a pylon ie: pile on ... I'll get my coat...) Ritchie333(talk)(cont)21:42, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Isabelle, like Ritchie I have pondered if to say anything and what to say. I fall on my principles that all people are a Song. We don't always understand what is being played or the colors we see but every Song is important. Some people are threatened by a Song they don't comprehend. I believe their feelings are valid and real and come from a place of hurt that they may have received in Life (not always of course but it is typical). However, a feeling is no excuse to belittle or intentionally hurt someone so even if it is valid it is not okay to perpetuate hurtful actions. I want this noted and made clear because I saw this mentioned at the ANI discussion. You are no threat to me, my personhood or my womanhood. You are you and I am me, each unique Song's made of colorful notes that join in with a grander symphony of the Earth. It is an honor and a privilege to listen to your Song and see how it continues to develop here on Wikipedia and in life. And as a note, your silence on this subject isn't really silence, it speaks volumes about your character. I think you will make a fine administrator. We are all Rainbows. --ARoseWolf16:47, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Also extending solidarity as a fellow nonbinary trans editor. This whole situation has turned my stomach, so I can imagine it's a thousand times worse for you. Funcrunch (talk) 22:57, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Only found out about this very late last night. My compassion and concern that you were subjected to a personal attack at your RfA. RfA is stressful enough already, no matter how smoothly it's going. You have my support and solidarity, and I feel confident you will make a fine admin. Take care of yourself and be well. - CorbieVreccan☊☼20:07, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
I wish I could apologize for how circumstances have caused this already stressful personal process to become especially important to others. The problem with putting smart people next to each other is that via BOLD we have learned the value of agency and mutual support, and we will be heard, boldly. I'd like to lurk in to wish you well and express my appreciation to your demeanor thoughout, and continuing forward. Know you have allies, and that alliance transcends any location, login, or logos. BusterD (talk) 22:08, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Thanks to both, CorbieVreccan and BusterD. I was warned that RfA could be stressful, but I never guessed it would be this stressful. While I'm still processing all that has happened and is happening, I've been very grateful by the community's response and the messages of support I've received. Isabelle Belato🏳🌈22:46, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Isabelle, I just wanted to add my admiration and gratitude for the many years you've given to WP—I have no doubts you will be a valuable addition to the WP admins. I should also note that bringing a new article to WP (Maybe an Artist) with substantial information already included is a welcome change from what I'm used to seeing. Continuing the tradition originally started by Tamzin for DanCherek's RfA, I'd like to pass the baton to you as Wikipedia's newest administrator. Well done on your RfA! Good luck, and long live the baton!
Congratulations on your successful RFA with the commensurate pay raise and high quality t-shirt. As a newly minted admin myself, I'm probably not the best resource for answering quesitons but feel free to ask anyways. -- Whpq (talk) 03:00, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, I tried checking the source the sentence was associated with but appears to be dead. The year associated with the event made me double check to make sure I wasn't reverting to another disruptive version. Isabelle Belato🏳🌈16:51, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
I am fairly new around here; as a computer programmer, I like seeing the "behind the scenes" stuff of almost anything. So I have been reading (and commenting in) the Teahouse and Help desk for entertainment (smile) for several months.
I have read a few RfAs before (and I don't think I'll ever want to be an admin) but yours seemed... well... amazing. I don't know you, but based comments by names I do recognize, you must be a special person!
As your fellow recent changes patroller, I also want to say congrats! From the second I saw your RfA, I knew you'd succeed with flying colours. It may have gotten rough, but you kept on trucking. The resilience you demonstrated is admirable. You're a passionate and mature editor and you deserve this mop. ◇HelenDegenerate◆ 19:13, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
I'm sorry your User pages are being attacked by trolls. I had my own experience like this during Gamergate and even though I only edited the article talk page, it made me a target. I also think that it's more commonly experienced by women editors/admins. It tends to come in waves so hopefully all of their accounts are blocked and you'll get some relief. Just know that I'm sure your User pages are on some admins' Watchlists now. It DOES get better! LizRead!Talk!03:13, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
@Liz: Meant to reply earlier, but couldn't with my alternative account. It's been a wild ride ever since the beginning of the RfA, but this stream of vandalism has been the least worst thing to happen. Thanks for keeping an eye on my pages, and sorry you got caught in it, too, it seems. Isabelle Belato🏳🌈20:04, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
I'd like to join in, again
The Purple Barnstar
You deserve this barnstar, Isabelle. It's great that you continue to help the project no matter how much harassment and personal attacks you face. I'm sorry that you faced trolling so bad it was Oversighted instead of Revision Deleted. SunilNevlaFan✨06:01, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
@Liz: I never knew that happened to you. I agree with you about the challenges of being a female editor. For me, I have faced harassment that was bad enough to be revdel'ed, but not bad enough to be Oversighted. I may never know what was in those edits. However, I don't let it affect my contributions here. SunilNevlaFan✨06:01, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)@SunilNevlaFan: oversighted edits are not necessarily 'worse' than revdelled edits in terms of content, rather they are also hidden from admins for other reasons such as that they may contain private info (see doxing). @Isabelle: don't let that sad LTA get to you, and keep up the good work! ☿ Apaugasma (talk☉)11:08, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
I would also gift this barnstar to Isabelle. It has been rough times and sometimes not easy to get through. And to Liz, I never knew hard, tough times had got to you. I'm sorry you (and to all female editors who have or had been trolled) had to go through all of this. Regards, Sarrail (talk) 15:33, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
Well, well. How did you do that? Were you refreshing the G6 queue, or what? How did you manage to see that I had tagged the redirect for G6 before I was then able to move the redirect out of the way? Robert McClenon (talk) 23:31, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
Question from Contrariagirl (06:29, 26 October 2022)
Hello I was editing an article today and my edit was reverted. I made this change in good faith but I don't think the person editing my page viewed it this way and may be biased not to include information that I think is relevent to the aricle... I republished my edit and cited sources but I do not want to start a war which goes against wikis policies and my own code of ethics how should I resolve this dispute if my edits are removed but serve a clear educational and informative purpose --Contrariagirl (talk) 06:29, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
@Contrariagirl: The first thing you might want to do is to ask the editor who reverted you to further explain why they believe your change was incorrect, so that you might avoid doing the same mistake again in the future. If the edit in question is this one, our policy on biographies of living people is involved, and you should consider reading it, as it is one of our more important ones. Isabelle Belato🏳🌈22:04, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for this response this answers my question thank you. The edit in question (not this one) was resolved and updated. Regarding this particular edit I thanked the editor for making the correction after review I would agree with them. I don't think it was sutibable for an encyclopedic entry per policy on Biographies of living people. Thanks Again Contrariagirl (talk) 22:16, 26 October 2022 (UTC)

I joined Wikipedia today and desire to learn the details and intricacies of editing. This to then make positive contributions.
May I introduce myself. I am Kirby Bodden, recently retired from the realms of academic dentistry (DMD, Associate Professor of Prosthodontics) and NIH-funded medical research (PhD, Associate Scientist at UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center).
