Dealing with vandals

Save yourself some time and stress. Whenever you fix vandalism, just state in the Summary line what you fixed. Don't leave personal comments, especially to the person that caused the problem. They'll never read it because they don't want to. The people like the one that is repeatedly changing to Simon Birch page don't care what they are doing is wrong and are being selfish about re-adding the info after they have been asked to stop. -RRabbit42 (talk) 20:30, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just added Simon Birch to my watchlist. When you revert, use something like "revert - repeat IP vandal" as the summary. That makes it real easy for us administrators to see what's happening so we can block the IP and/or protect the page if it gets to be a frequent occurrence (i.e., multiple times per day). —C.Fred (talk) 20:34, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
