This archive page covers approximately the dates between January 2007 and December 2007. Post replies to the main talk page, copying or summarizing the section you are replying to if necessary. TempestHello, I got your message, I am still new to this whole thing. I was wondering before changing any pages, if you thought, that Tempest (comics) page should be changed to Garth-Tempest or something, he was Aqualad and he deserves his own page of Garth/Tempest/Aqualad instead of sharing it with the first Tempest, and let him have his own page or part of the Doom Patrol's page. I just wanted to run things by you first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tigerklinge (talk • contribs)
Image:Jorjafox01.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Jorjafox01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 06:10, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
HSM TriviaI see what you're trying to do, I see some of them are fancruft from the pop-up edition. But I looked through the article and didn't find a lot of the trivia that is semi-notable, mainly
Though some of it may need to be reworded to cut out some fancruft, but I think the 5 things show some insight into the movie. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 20:37, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

You are totally Welcome...I'm glad it helped your day! :^) BarnStar Boy 19:41, 18 January 2007 (UTC) SorryI'm sorry for calling your edit silliness. Crumbsucker 02:02, 18 January 2007 (UTC) WelcomeYeah man I had the same problem. My page even 10 times vandalized and those edits keep me encouraging to revert vandalism. --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ Walkie-talkie 17:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC) Bi Wonder WomanI found a source, the DC Comics website which lists the publication schedule until the end of April. 5 Wonder Woman comics coming out between now and then. So no, it isn't bimonthly *g*. I made the same suggestion on the Question talk page almost a week ago. — J Greb 02:12, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The RichesHi. I'm sorry about that revert, I had a mental block for a moment there and completely missed the fact that Izzard's character was Wayne, instead thinking it was the first mention of a new character. My apologies. Rockpocket 17:42, 15 March 2007 (UTC) Barnstar
Dick Grayson infobox imageYou have recently commented on whether or not the image used in the infobox for Dick Grayson should be changed. An attempt is being made to see if a consensus has been reached. If you are still interested in this, please look in at the straw poll section of the articles talk page. Thanks for your interest. - J Greb 07:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Given that this was a discussion about the people AND the issue at large, I don't see how it's an attack. We were discussing you and your image reverts. Remember 'No Personal Attacks', eh, Net? You're as guilty as J Greb is, if anyone's guilty of anything, and I don't appreciate you dragging this over to my talk page. I was having a polite conversation with J Greb. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 00:56, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
It wasn't disparaging comments. It was a POV reflection of a situation between two editors. That's all. In fact, you were spoken of as a good editor, though sometimes we disagreed with your methods. Which was not intended as disparagement, but a statement of perceived fact. People are entitled to opinions. That you followed J Greb over here makes me Spock the Brow some. You really should take a break from him and move on. You're starting to look like you're obsessing. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 01:40, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
That's fair, insofar as it goes. However there has to a method by which editors can talk about other editors, to attempt to resolve issues without having to confront them head-on. Which ... is where J Greb and I were going with this. NPA intended, and I'm sorry if you felt that disagreeing with your methods was an attack. Again. They weren't meant that way. As for my views on 'consensus' you'll note I changed my POV on this :) I'm perfectly willing to accept change, when presented reasonably. I don't mind that you were being bold, but IMO once someone reverts and says 'Hey. wait, let's talk first' then you should be respectful and stop to talk before just saying 'Nope, sorry, I'm being Bold!' and changing it back. And that's where my issue with you remains. That's it. You have a problem with J Greb? Go to his talk page. Not mine. Thank you. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 13:43, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
How best to phrase this ... I haven't violated WP:CIV. I haven't done anything 'wrong' except possibly hurt your feelings by talking about the fact that your spat with J Greb on my talk page was a turning point in my decision to take a step back from the Grayson image discussion. If you're asking me to never ever mention that disagreement again? No. I can't promise that. I still assume good faith with your edits, and as I have repeatedly said, I think you're a good editor. I just don't agree with your methods. And I don't have to. Going forward? I plan to keep editing, and if something relevant to this historical incident comes up, I may mention it. As I'm sure some people mention my attempt to move the homosexual interpretations of Batman off to it's own page was a bad idea, and how others slam me for mercilessly editing the Tanya Baxter page. It happens. We move on. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 03:25, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Reply to Everyone about this whole CIV thingI don't believe I ever 'attacked' Netkinetic. I don't think I even started this. I talked to J Greb about something we agreed on and were TRYING to figure out how to address. This didn't happen. Doczilla mentioned the same thing J Greb and I had (using policy as an excuse) and I said 'yeah, that's why I'm trying to stay out of the discussion and appealing for help'. In retrospect? I should have shut up since obviously Netkinetic's touchy about the topic. Which is understandable. When he followed me to Doczilla's page, and started it up again, I decided to ask someone I respected for help on how to handle it, since it feels out of my league. And it's getting bigger every day. Am I being incivil? Well ... now I probably am being a bit bitchy, but I feel chased around all night and like I can't ask ANYONE to discuss the behavior of Netkinetic (specifically using policy as an excuse) which has now become a minor case of wikistalking. It's not against policy to talk to people about an issue with the intention of addressing and resolving it, but it becomes impossible to do so when you are accused of a personal attack every time you mention it. And in that case, we all lose. Sucks to be us. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 04:29, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Explanation & sourcesYou edited without explanation or giveing sources; when I reverted you re-reverted with a snippy edit summary in which you explained the edit and gave a source. Did you think that the first time I should have just known what you were doing and what the source was? Note also that a source given ain an edit summary isn't enough; the summary will disappear from view; other editors (and readers) need something more permanent. (You also reverted to a version that contained "Newtasks"...) --Mel Etitis (Talk) 18:23, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Level headed 3rd party needed...Hate to ask this of you... but I need someone with a level head to take a look at what's going on at Whizzer and it's talk page. I'm asking because I'm seeing most of the same problems on a few other pages on my watchlist that I'm thinking of getting to. And I need someone to tell me if I'm coming at it the wrong way. Thanks, - J Greb 08:35, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

RE: MorrowulfNo idea. I had originally altered it just to see how long a bit of decently-done "vandalism" to a page could go undetected. Anyone who reverted to it did it without my knowlege or endorsement. Morrowulf 20:15, 17 May 2007 (UTC) Red LinksI know that red links are okay and have restored many of them myself. When Cody Cameron's name is linked it isn't red it is blue but it DOES NOT link to an article for him. It links to the article for the first Shrek film and that is meaningless when you click on Cody's name. MarnetteD | Talk 20:26, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Batmanytb linksI'll keep checking those pages too so none of us risk losing track and getting ourselves a 3RR violation while reverting linkspam. Doczilla 20:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC) I don't understand. I found the site through Google. I've learned alot about the character from that site and yet I can't add a link? I saw the discussion on the main Batman article site and I am confused. why can Superman Database have a link and not batmanytb? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman/Batman#External_links And what do I have to do? I'm trying to be helpful, this place doesn't give ALL the info. For Comics, Covers, summaries, ect.. those help. Ok, so it's a Fan site.. big deal, so is www.dcuguide.com, and what about this one: http://meltingpot.fortunecity.com/egypt/235/ on the Huntress Page: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Huntress_%28comics%29&curid=684877&diff=135152705&oldid=135076977#External_links, or this one: http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/set/6742/ There are many more all over this site, yet one of the best sites out there, that gives viweres details you delete? If batmanytb.com can't be listed, (which by the way I found on several pages it was listed as a resource for various articles) then NO fan site should be. only DCcomics.com because they are the ONLY official site out there. I've checked the help page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#What_should_be_linked and here what what should be avoided: Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a Featured article. Well.. I know on most, if not all the links I provided, they gave the viewer more information, more resources than the Wiki Article does. Any site that misleads the reader by use of factually inaccurate material or unverifiable research. Didn't do that Links mainly intended to promote a website Well.. now this would be the ONLY one I could see used against the links I provided, cept for the fact they went with the article as you will see below Links to sites that primarily exist to sell products or services. For example, instead of linking to a commercial bookstore site, use the "ISBN" linking format, giving readers an opportunity to search a wide variety of free and non-free book sources. Didn't do that
Links to sites that require payment or registration to view the relevant content. Nope Sites that are inaccessible to a substantial number of users, such as sites that only work with a specific browser. Nope Direct links to documents that require external applications (such as Flash or Java) to view the relevant content, unless the article is about such rich media. If you do link to such material make a note of what application is required. No on this one too.. Links to search engine and aggregated results pages. No Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace), discussion forums or USENET. Nope Links to blogs and personal web pages, except those written by a recognized authority. Not any of these either Links to open wikis, except those with a substantial history of stability and a substantial number of editors. Not A Wiki, though I've seen DC Database listed and it's a Wiki... Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject: the link should be directly related to the subject of the article. A general site that has information about a variety of subjects should usually not be linked to from an article on a more specific subject. Similarly, a website on a specific subject should usually not be linked to an article about a general subject. If a section of a general website is devoted to the subject of the article, and meets the other criteria for linking, then that part of the site could be deep-linked. The links I provided was directly to the sections that went with the Article I know there are other sections to the help, but when refering to link spam I think you guys, who know it all (not being smart, just stating that I realize you are supose to know more than I do when it comes to this) anyway.. you guys should look at the links I provided and see that it is not spam but a resource. Now, if I need to go to every page and beg I will, but I would like to see all sites that aren't official removed and let someone plead their case. --Xphermg 04:39, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
I'm just trying to be helpful. Really. So whats our next step? --Xphermg 18:11, 2 June 2007 (UTC) Ok.. that makes more sense then the advertising deal. Though alot of articles really do the same thing. I'll do more research when I want to add a link. Thank you for being so kind and not rude. --Xphermg 18:36, 2 June 2007 (UTC) Lists of episodes-clarificationMy interpretation of your "page in a nutshell" banner is that lists of episodes should not contain dozens of screenshots, like one beside each episode. Can you confirm that this is the case, as I am about to get medieval on List of CSI: NY episodes. Editus Reloaded 18:44, 4 June 2007 (UTC) CSI characters - dead or alive?I have noticed that in List of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation characters and also your own user subpage draft of a minor characters list, you refer to Former Sheriff Brian Mobley as being dead. Is he? I can find no reference to his demise on an external source, so I'm applying the same logic as is applied to other minor characters who have not made a recent appearance: alive until proven dead. If you can find a reference, of course put it in the articles. Editus Reloaded 21:02, 6 June 2007 (UTC) I think he retired; the Mayor of Las Vegas has been shown in later eps, but it's not Brian Mobley. Editus Reloaded 06:40, 7 June 2007 (UTC) The guy who was killed in Cross Jurisdictions was the former Chief of Detectives for LVPD, a previously unseen character. I've moved a copy of the article to User:J Greb/Pasteup while I'm working on it. The upshot is, given the relatively short history of the characters, I'm trying to blend the PH and FCB into one section. Right now I've only gotten through the first character, but I'd like a few other editors to take a look and tell me if I'm onto something, blowing smoke, or somewhere in between. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
