Request for some actionHello Ioeth. One friend pointed me to your person, that you would probably help me. The case is following. I added to this completely unreferenced article: All-Polish Youth some sources and User:Krzyzowiec continues to whitewash it. I asked him on the talk page - [1] - to stop removing valid references. He replied - [2] - with harsh uncivil comments, calling me "socialist" and accusing me of "communistic propaganda", for instance. Moreover, he again blanked whole my constructive contributions, see [3], calling me "left-liberal kid" etc., in edit summaries. He also blanked references in similar article - [4] - with mocking edit summary "NAnanNANa". If some anonymous IP would do this, it would be no problem to block it but this is other case, because it is registered user. Personally I think his uncivil behavior and removal of content is pure vandalism. Please, take some action. Thank you. - Darwinek (talk) 22:12, 25 February 2008 (UTC) Help with Adminship-nessI'm missing something. I'm at a loss regarding what to do to advance my efforts at adminship. According to Balloonman I'm obviously insufficient but I don't know why or how to correct it. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Padillah (talk) 15:21, 27 February 2008 (UTC) Barnstar for you!
Friendly scriptFor your Friendly script, does it merge a new tag that I add to existing tags on an article to create the {{article issues}} tag? If not, then I'd suggest that it does. Cheers! Gary King (talk) 02:53, 4 March 2008 (UTC) Pseudoscience discretionary sanctionsHi! As somebody who commented on a January proposal to place all articles related to homeopathy on article probation, I would greatly appreciate your input on a new proposal to help combat disruption that would scrap the probation and implement discretionary sanctions. I apologize for any intrusion, but this is to my knowledge the first time sanctions of this nature have been attempted to be enforced by the community, so I feel that a wide range of opinions is necessary. Thank you in advance for any comments you may make. east718 (talk) 18:59, 7 March 2008 (UTC) LondoncallPlease could help us with "Londoncall", you've left a message on his discussion page about his fanboy like edits to the Gamezville page and now he's resorted to vandalism and personal flame attacks against other users, is there anything you can do? The reason I ask is that I have been attacked using the edit restriction as a weapon citing the restriction: "The user Stor Stark7 has been placed under general ArbCom restriction since January that year for his uncivil and disruptive behavior in January". I grant that I was uncivil, but was "disruptive" really part of your verdict? Regards: --Stor stark7 Talk 18:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC) MissingDear Ioeth, where are you? friendlytag.jsI looked over the freindlytag.js and the code looks very straight forward when it comes to adding tags. I was hoping to add some more cleanup tags submit the code back to you for consideration. The problem is that I am not a JavaScript programmer (though I have some programing background in other languages.) I copied your code into my domain at User:Ctempleton3/friendlytag.js and then changed my monobook to read the following: importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkle.js'); importScript('User:Ctempleton3/friendly.js'); The problem that I am having is that when I do this the code does not work at all. What am I not doing? I would really like to help if I can and I think I can even with my limited knowledge if I can get past the first few problems. Thanks - Ctempleton3 (talk) 16:14, 30 March 2008 (UTC) Unblocking of User:AndyCook?I am curious if you would be ok with an unblocking for User:AndyCook? He was blocked indefinitely after his four edits (all clear vandalism) but it has been a few months and his main request is to be able to edit under his real name. I would like to unblock, with a note that one more vandalism like will result in an immediate permanent block. Thoughts? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:11, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
About TW and RollbackI noticed on the talk page of WP:TW that User:AzaToth is doing something with rollback and TW, but its status isn't clear, and it was working before I got the rollbacker bit (I have not tested it with the bit just yet). I also noticed a mention of an integration script written by you. I found its link from your user page, but I noticed that it has no documentation. Would you mind providing a brief description of what exactly it does (which links it alters, if/how it detects the rollback bit etc) and its status? It would be greatly appreciated. Redirect of Template:Kreisreform2007Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Template:Kreisreform2007, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Template:Kreisreform2007 is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1). Made a slight modification to FriendlyJust as a heads-up, I made a small modification on User:Ioeth/friendlywelcome.js (see this diff). The change is so that Friendly knows that the {{welcomeunclesam}} template can put an article name in if one is provided, as the template had been modified to support it. Did I do it right? Man-Pop FestivalI have added one reference to the page and hope to add more. Is this enough for you to remove the tag? I am not entirely certain of the protocol here, particularly as to whether the initial caution should be removed by the editor placing same, rather than by me. Thank you for not deleting the article in the interim since, in terms of Winnipeg, this festival was very important, and is also part of the history of the early international success of Led Zeppelin. I am an active member of the fraternity at Texas Lutheran University and the information that I put there is cited from the university website.--Omegatau07 (talk) 20:26, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
What then is notable about the many other pages that discuss various greek organizations? Would being the oldest fraternity on campus be appropriate or having at an alumni in a wikipedia article on himself that credits him being a part of the fraternity?--Omegatau07 (talk) 20:31, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Does being around for 50 years not fit the longevity criteria, having one of the founders as a announcer during the Super Bowl not fit the scope of national importance criteria, and having more alumni than the size of the university not fit the size criteria?--Omegatau07 (talk) 20:40, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
We are not a chapter of a national organization so we cannot fall under these guidelines limiting an article. Also the page on Verne Lundquist, who is one of the founders, shows that the organization has "sufficient notability... established through reliable sources that extend beyond the organization's local area" because those sports telecasts are national.--Omegatau07 (talk) 20:56, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
What then gives Texas Lutheran it's notability? or any other small institution for that matter?--Omegatau07 (talk) 21:16, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
AirchivingHi loeth, Tried to submit "Airchiving" content to the wikipedia but it's been rejected. Is the issue with the content is that I'm listing www.airchiving.com as an external link? If that's the case, if I search for wikipedia entry on wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org is listed as an external link in that entry also. So if airchiving topic references the site where the term was taking from how should I list the url or should it not be included at all? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vlasha (talk • contribs) 10:29, 25 September 2008 (EST)

"I am pretty sure that all the following are sockpuppets of the same user:
As for User:Gonbal2, I don't think it's a sockpuppet of the above users because the main thing that user edits is Spanish people by adding in the CIA Factbook definition. I don't think User:Wikfanzine is a sockpuppet of the ones listed above because that user put on the Talk:Latino (demonym) page that Europeans are not Latinos, but the above editors kept trying to introduce that Hispanic and Latinos were of any Romance-speaking background. It's possible that User:Littlejimmie is a sockpuppet of User:Wikfanzine, as he was removing Spanish Americans from Template:Hispanic and Latino Americans. In August, there was a user that kept trying to removed Spanish Americans from Template:Hispanic and Latino Americans, but I can't remember who that was. User:BigboymarkI think a spamblock here was a little extreme. Apparently I had declined the name at the same time you were blocking it, see here for my reasoning. Making a vanity page about yourself in your own userspace shouldn't be a blockable offense. I understand your reasoning somewhat, and I understand this user hasn't done anything here else besides creating his userpage a while back, but he isn't actually harming the encyclopedia. I think a more appropriate course of action would have been to take the pages to MfD and/or leave the user a polite note about what Wikipedia is all about case he returns. Take care. --Bongwarrior (talk) 19:49, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

I saw someone drop a template on User talk:Ksthultz15 and wondered chiefly why they hadn't signed the warning. Looked and saw no 'subst' either, but wondered at the inclusion of signing tildes in the text of the template itself. Looked for who/why and found this. Umm, still left with why. If you wanted to reinforce that template droppers should sign, put that into the instructions below the template? (Actually it does provide a way to sign as the 4th parameter?) But as it is, it might look to the droppers like magic will happen and the post will automatically be signed? Not even a word about the facilities, features, booking options. Just plain info about the building character and it's surroundings. But... ok. I can leave without it. But why don't you go further? Please feel free to remove: Coca Cola, Cafe del Mar, C&A, Enron, Nike, Adidas, British American Tobacco, e.t.c. (if you get my meaning) :) Good Luck Removing! Thanks!Ioeth, many thanks for the message on my talk page. I am honoured that you think I am worthy of nomination as an admin. The year-end (which is fast approaching) is a very busy time of year for me so I would not be able to dedicate the time required to participate in the RFA process until early in 2009. Can we get back together on this sometime in January? Thanks again. – ukexpat (talk) 20:21, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Columns"div class="references-small" style="-moz-column-count:2; column-count:2;" and "reflist|2" no longer is parsing text into two equal columns. Its been that way for a few weeks. Can you peek to see if they are using a common subroutine to parse text in half? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but something changed. See here for an example. I think it may be counting hidden text as part of the count to see where to divide in half. If you know of someone else more involved in templates, let me know. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 20:44, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
I am in Firefox! If the example above is rendering into two even columns for you, then there is something wrong in my preferences, can you check the example again? --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 21:06, 30 October 2008 (UTC) User names? Not real sure what you want me to do. I don't see any obvious problem, and I'm not an admin. If you have concerns, you could bring them to WP:ANI. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:28, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Assistance requestHate to bother you, but I'm running into further problems over at Janelle Pierzina with cited text being removed without explanation or discussion. It's from an anonymous user whose IP address differs from that used previously, although both address are from Comcast in the Dallas area. If you can investigate and let me know on my talk page how to proceed it would be appreciated. BaldPete (talk) 22:59, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Twinkle questionPassing this on per suggestion of SchuminWeb. There is a date/time issue that has come up and is being discussed on the Wikipedia talk:Miscellany for deletionCategory page. As Twinkle has been brought up as the possible cause of the issue I think you might want to take a look and offer input. Thanks! Soundvisions1 (talk) 16:06, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanksfor the patience :) I apologise in advance for the damage I may do during my clumsy attempts to create the new category. Sasha —Preceding undated comment was added at 20:39, 17 November 2008 (UTC).
Wiki Article needs expandingHi Loeth, Noticed your interest in music, specifically a page on Liz Myers in Wikipedia that needs expanding. Being a stub article is a bit distressing. Possible help: The photo is mine. How do I release it for use on wikipedia? Also, I can put more info about the album Le Rendez-vous. Can you steer me in the right direction to do this? Not sure if I have stumbled upon the best manner of contribution. Thanks, Sadapter 18 Nov 2008 Sadapter (talk) 17:16, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Reverting Application Portfolio ManagementHi Matt, There seem to be some users completely messing up the Application Portfolio Management page. This started today and I agree with your removal of the latest change by Bekesg. But I think to be correct, the page should revert back to what it has been for the last several months, without anyone complaining... It seems it all started today, for whatever reason. But the page does contain references to vendors as it is now (Borland, Microsoft - why can those be referenced but not IBM or Microfocus or whoever?). I haven't seen any changes that offended the spirit of Wiki.. Thanks in advance. Andreaskopp (talk) 20:51, 20 November 2008 (UTC) Piotrus second arbcomHi, since the evidence used for the Digwuren restriction that you placed me on is being reused in another arbcom (see [this, and this, (where it seems it merits a 1 year ban), would you mind answering 2 questions. What is your position on double jeopardy? If it goes through in Piotrus 2, would that mean that you will automatically remove my name from the Digwuren arbitration list?--Stor stark7 Speak 09:47, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
RE: Stop requesting rollback (for now)Although ive been contributing for less time than some others, i have noticed how they have managed around 200 edits over several months, whereas i have 250 edits for just this month. I can understand they maybe i dont have the experience required, but in all honesty i fail to see what i am lacking. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirachinmoku (talk • contribs) 20:29, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
IPs can remove warnings from their talk pagesConcerning your reversion, please be aware that all users (including IPs) are allowed to remove warnings from their own talk pages. See here. It's annoying as hell for other editors, who are then forced to investigate the history, but it's allowed. -kotra (talk) 21:44, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Disabling friendly tabs?Could you make it possible for those of us using friendly tabs with monobook.js to disable it with a variable? Gary King (talk) 00:59, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
I just fixed this closure. Please make sure the section header is inside the closure tags. - Mgm|(talk) 18:14, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Article SurvivalHello Ioeth, I believe my article was deleted and I was curious how I could avoid this from happening in the future. I am trying to create an entry for a company/concept called 'Zingo Transportation.' My article might've been deleted due to an advertising bylaw and I definitely don't want to violate any terms/agreements. The concept of Zingo Transportation is that after a night of drinking, you are driven home in your own car by a driver who puts the motorbike in the trunk of your car, and then drives the motorbike to the next customer. Please advise on how I may clean up the article to have it be 'wiki-ready.' Much thanks, Dan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DLRegen (talk • contribs) 20:47, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Regarding 70.125.108.39Hey Loeth! Thanks for blocking him. I tried to report him for adding opionated comments to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport but they said his edits were not vandalism. He blanked his talk page to remove the block and other warnings he received but I have undid his edits. Is he block indef. or blocked for days? Once again, thanks for blocking him! Cashier freak (talk) 06:13, 22 November 2008 (UTC) Rollback PermissionsDear Ioeth,
AhSorry, didn't know that, I thought it was for users/ips that had been blocked. Thanks. Message from XENUu, t 19:50, 25 November 2008 (UTC) Regarding 'Friendly'I installed your Friendly script but now my Twinkle is gone, I was wondering if I have to do anything or configure anything to get them to work together?
