Your recent editsHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. I moved it back, as Pontic Greek seems to be the normal English name for this language/dialect. If you disagree, please discuss on Talk:Pontic Greek to form a consensus. Thanks, --Macrakis (talk) 14:05, 25 April 2008 (UTC) You say "Who defines a normal name?" -- for a topic like this, WP generally looks to the relevant English-language scholarly literature as well as popular usage (to the extent it exists). My impression is that "Pontic Greek" is the usual term in the scholarly literature (used, for example, by Brian Joseph and Tompaidis in English-language publications), but I'd be happy to see evidence either way on the relevant Talk page. As for Arvanitika and Vlachika, it would of course be as ridiculous to call them "Arvanitic Greek" and "Vlachic Greek" as to talk about "Basque French" or "German Romanian" (for the language of the Transylvanian Saxons). --Macrakis (talk) 14:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC) Most languages are named by bare adjectives (English, Japanese, etc.). This is of course usually ambiguous, so the article titles are English language, Japanese language, etc. That would be an argument for "Pontic Greek language", except that there is nothing else called "Pontic Greek" on WP. And again, WP doesn't decide what to name languages -- we go by the consensus of good usage. Perhaps someday English-language authors will start using "Pontiaka" the way they use "Arvanitika", but apparently this isn't the case today. --Macrakis (talk) 16:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC) CyprusThe article is obviously improved, but there are many things yet to be done. In order to have a "model article" read a FA country article, such as Canada or israel. Some suggestions:

Secondly it over analyzed certain parts and left others like life under hoxza post-communist albania, almost untouched. Thridly it didn't present any info about let's say who Zog was rather threw names out of the blue (the reader is supposed to net have a clue about the albanian history so the article must give him some info). What exactly part of my rewriting is wrong. Did i state sth false? Grammatical mistakes? I think it looks much better now and you and anyone who wants to, can improve it more in it's current format.--Ioannes Tzimiskes (talk) 10:29, 24 July 2008 (UTC) AustriaI brought up a discussion on the Austria talk page about edits recently that you would probably want to partake in. Statements supported by facts WP:FOOT are particularly appreciated. This gives credibility to an article. When we add unnecessary adjectives to a teams description, it makes it seem as if we don't believe what we are saying about them. When I say that "X has won a Nobel Prize" I don't have to say that "X, who is really really smart, has won a truly prestigious Nobel Prize." The caliber of people reading Wikipedia will understand that without my saying it. And why do I think I have to say it. Does "X" not appear very smart? Why am I having to tell the person that the award is "prestigious'? It raises all sorts of questions. It's just so much better to avoid WP:POV to start with. Thanks. Hey is there anything that you might be able to contribute to the Athanasios Papoulis article? Just asking. LoveMonkey (talk) 16:50, 19 September 2008 (UTC) There are editors on the talk page explaining why they want a shorter sports section. (to summarize, there is a preference for facts over praise; and broad strokes over great detail). Also, your version contains grammatical errors and non-standard English. You simply must discuss on the talk page and stop reverting. Jd2718 (talk) 10:32, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Other PAOK sections for players can be addedNotable players does not mean just notable in ONE country. It means if they are notable in ANY country and can mean for playing in college and other leagues as well. Also you are failing to see how the team sections are supposed to work. There are THREE different sections that can be on team pages for the players. One is Notable players which fits under how the PAOK page is now, then there can be two other sections also. One for players on the team that have played in the NBA, under heading, PAOK players that have played in the NBA, and another for star players of the team, which can be headed The stars of PAOK. The sections do not affect one another. If you would like to add either of these two sections please go ahead. Numerous other team pages already have them, most of the Greek teams just don't, although I think a couple already have the NBA players section. Otherwise please stop telling me I'm abusing Wikipedia. That's ridiculous, seriously it is. Like I said if you want the stars of the team highlighted then feel free to actually contribute it on the team page, rather than spend your time here coming after others. Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 07:07, 4 November 2008 (UTC) There are 3 sections for a lot of clubsMany clubs have exactly that notable players, star players, and ones who played with the club and also in the NBA. If you don't believe me look at Maccabi's page - it has 3 sections for top scorers, notable players, and ones who played in NBA. In fact look at other Euroleague clubs look at Adriatic League clubs, etc. The Greek club pages are not some kind of exact rule for how all team pages need to be.
