I have changed it to "semi-legendary" as I found many sources calling him "semi-legendary". I am not an expert in these things but per what the article says, there is no solid evidence that Homer existed and some have suggested that Homer isn't a person but a word that means "hostage" which the title of his epics. There is a discussion about this on the talk page of the article.--SharʿabSalam▼ (talk) 20:58, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
So you redirect your enwiki userpage to your meta userpage
Here something I don't think you know about. Try seeing your non-existent userpage on the Spanish Wikipedia. What do you see? Your userpage on Meta! Here what you should do. Tag your enwiki userpage for U1 speedy deletion with Db-u1 (or Display userpage from meta).
Hi! "Switzerland" is a noun; the adjective derived from it is "Swiss". You've been going round piping adjectival occurrences of "Swiss" to "Switzerland"; in every case that I've checked, that has been a mistake. Example: "Manor AG is a Switzerlanddepartment store chain"; no, it isn't, it's a Swiss department store chain. Would you please revert those changes? Thank you! Or, if you prefer, I can do it – with luck, I might be able to do the whole job with a few clicks. Let me know? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:38, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello Justlettersandnumbers. The reason why I did this is on this discussion page, I have agreed to clean up links because if the RM passes, then those links would link to the disambiguation page. If I am messing anything up, please let me know and feel free to revert my changes. Thank you, Interstellarity (talk) 13:53, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
(edit conflict)OK – perhaps another time link to the discussion when making such changes? Anyway, I think you had it the wrong way round: you were changing Swiss to Switzerland; I assume that what you meant to do was change it to Swiss so that it would still read correctly in the context, but point clearly to the article on the country? I've reverted your edits (I thought you'd gone offline without seeing my message). Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 14:06, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
@Justlettersandnumbers: I'm new to AutoWikiBrowser and getting to know its features and apologize for my mistake. I make mistakes all the time and I try to learn from them. I appreciate you pointing out my mistakes because they help me learn. Just one question: can you show me how I can link to that discussion in my edit summary while making those changes again? Interstellarity (talk) 14:10, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
OK, we all make mistakes – I'm a champion at it! Please go very slowly while learning about AWB, large numbers of faulty or trivial errors popping up on watchlists can be really quite unpopular (well, very unpopular indeed). You could include a link to that discussion in your edit summary in several ways, among them either exactly as you did in your first reply to me here (e.g., more here, giving "more here"; or to an exact diff, e.g., more here, giving the same result but linking to where you offered to fix links (the "956339841" is copied from the tail end of the url of the diff). Is that the answer you were looking for? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 14:32, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
@Justlettersandnumbers: Yes, thank you so much. I made this edit and made a few configurations in the AWB settings and I think I configured it OK. Is there anything else I need to do before making those edits so I don't screw anything up? I'm trying to take things slowly and hopefully I'll be a pro at using it in the times ahead. Interstellarity (talk) 14:46, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
Your sample edit looks OK; I'm afraid I can't advise at all on using AWB. I'd suggest trying ten or twenty edits, then a pause to see if there's any reaction, negative or positive. Good luck, regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:18, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
Nic Fanciulli Draft
Heeyyy, hope you're managing to stay safe and sane during this odd time.
I've done a complete overhaul of the Nic Fanciulli page and wondered if you have time to have a look at it?
I just quickly wanted to let you know that they're thinking about changing your graphic on the Teahouse because they don't really see why it was added, but I'm not sure if they will actually remove it or not, because it's still being disputed.
The post is about renaming the Teahouse, although removing the graphic is mentioned: 1
Here is what was said:
The Japanese tree painting is nice too, but what does it have to do with helping new editors? Zen state of mind? Something lowest-common denominator like a welcome mat might be more appropriate. The Pilot report designs, mentioned above by Nick Moyes, are all spectacular compared to the current text-heavy design. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 04:05, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
I tracked down the revision that added the text header with "administration/FAQ" etc above the welcome graphic. It is only four months old. It was done by Interstellarity. I'm not sure it helps in terms of explaining the purpose of the page or in welcoming, but perhaps there was a reason.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 04:27, 29 March 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by XLK123 (talk • contribs)
Articles for Creation: List of reviewers by subject notice
Hi Interstellarity/Archives/2020, you are receiving this notice because you are listed as an active Articles for Creation reviewer.
Recently a list of reviewers by area of expertise was created. This notice is being sent out to alert you to the existence of that list, and to encourage you to add your name to it. If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.
To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!
