Following an RfC, the blocking policy was changed to state that sysops must not undo or alter CheckUser or Oversight blocks, rather than should not.
A request for comment confirmed that sandboxes of established but inactive editors may not be blanked due solely to inactivity.
Technical news
Following a discussion, Twinkle's default CSD behavior will soon change, most likely this week. After the change, Twinkle will default to "tagging mode" if there is no CSD tag present, and default to "deletion mode" if there is a CSD tag present. You will be able to always default to "deletion mode" (the current behavior) using your Twinkle preferences.
Hi, I'm Nehme1499. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Atto Abbas, and have marked it as unpatrolled. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you.
(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Because the person is not notable, per WP:FOOTY. I would go as far as saying that it's a hoax page. See this discussion at Transfermarkt. Even if he were an actual player, he's just some youth player. He hasn't played for any national team, nor in any professional league. Nehme1499 (talk) 22:48, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, thank you for answering a semi-protected edit request here on March 1. However, you may not have done it correctly according to 3 of WP:ER. NPOV, verifiability, and reliable sourcing you should know already. The rest is the issue in concern.
When you make an edit on behalf of the requester, there is a mandatory copyright attribution. In your edit summary, you have to mention the requesters username in your edit summary.
When you answered the wishes of the request, partial or full, see for response templates, and change {{edit semi-protected|John Doe|answered=no}) to {{edit semi-protected|John Doe|answered=yes}}. This will close the request and remove it from CAT:ESP so it doesn't fill up with answered request.
Those two were the essentials to edit request you missed. There are lots more on WP:ER. So hopefully, you correctly do edit request now. =D To reply, copy and paste this: {{replyto|Can I Log In}}(Talk)02:47, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
We at Wikiproject Medicine would like to thank you for your contribution now during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic. We are far from out of the woods with regard to the pandemic and understand that your focus may lie on coronavirus efforts. We would still like to shine a light on our active medical community, which you are more than welcome to join. As a participant you can ask questions and get help about best practices on editing any health or medical article — on our talk-page. We are a (mostly) collegial bunch, and I do hope you feel welcome to participate.
Currently there are two active communities:
The plot line given here is completely wrong and in no way related to any film released ever. Besides the given story is very disturbing. That's why I edited it out and not knowing the actual plot line left it as such.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhimanyuanilkumar (talk • contribs)
It was correct of Abhimanyuanilkumar to remove the vandalism fake plot. The content was disruptive enough to be removed from the revision history.
It is understandable that the complete removal of a large section was interpreted as vandalism by Interstellarity. The same could have happened to me or any other person who regularly deals with vandalism, especially since some horror movies do have crazy plots.
I rarely say this, and I won't blame anyone – I make mistakes all the time and made a particularly hefty blunder yesterday – but please ignore the above message and the warnings by Interstellarity. Such content needs to be removed without discussion, and you did nothing wrong. However, I hope that the mistake is relatable; shit happens. Sorry for the trouble. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:57, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
Interstellarity, you're welcome, and no worries. Of ten thousand edits, one of these was bound to happen one day. It's the relative, not the absolute quantity that makes a difference. And the asking for another pair of eyes exactly when it was needed. All the best. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:50, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
Page moves
Please don't move RfAs (all discussions reference the user with the username at the time of candidacy), instead make a new RfA which redirects to the old RfA. It triggers useless notifications and causes records maintained to be redirects. --qedk (t心c)20:54, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
@QEDK: I am so sorry about moving the RfAs. I will do that next time. I hope I didn't cause too much trouble here. Thank you for pointing out my mistakes. Interstellarity (talk) 23:08, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
