Similar usernames is not indicative of anything - many vandals spoof usernames of editors that have annoyed them. DuncanHill (talk) 02:08, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
I think it's pretty obvious that it's not a sock. Why would a longtime user make a username almost exactly the same as his other one that is a personal attack on the first one? In this case, the "my brother did it" excuse seems quite plausible. --Smashvilletalk 05:10, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Just a wee bit of common sense should tell someone that a user would not create a sockpuppet with a name that was a personal attack on themselves. The similarity in usernames is obviously a dig at the real Inferno. This is the rare case where the "My brother did it" excuse is probably true, especially considering that it has happened before. No reason to ignore WP:AGF on a user with no block history. The autoblock may be a little tougher to clear due to the other user, but there is no reason for this account to be blocked directly.

A CU (YellowMonkey) said you're behind the same IP as Inferno, Lord of the Losers (talk · contribs), Chukonu xbow (talk · contribs), Mario080595 (talk · contribs), Bang boom so ha (talk · contribs), and Djakil (talk · contribs). You point to your WP:BROTHER, but I doubt your claim based on behavioral evidence.

  • Virtually all non-automated edit summaries from each account start with a capital letter.
  • Edit summaries on "hating" typos.[1][2]
  • Edit summaries on ">.<". [3][4][5]
  • Edit summaries on "fried" or "burned" eyes.[6][7]
  • Frequent use of ellipses. From this account: [8][9][10][11][12] (to list a few). From Chukonu xbow: [13]
  • Interest in cyclones / tornadoes. [14][15][16][17][18]
  • It seems you've used the Chukonu xbow account to nominate yourself at RfA. This interaction doesn't sound like you're talking to a brother, especially one that you claim vandalised your userpage.

(Also, even though smashville has unblocked me, I am seeing this through, then retiring.) All this information has been discussed on IRC, with the blocking admin and also User:J.delanoy. What I say about this, and what I can find (Pretty much all I can find) to support me is User:Chukonu xbow and User:Djakil are older than me (Djakil about 6 days according to log, Chukonu over a year older according to log) Mario is a friend in real life, refer to contributions this and this Things I can say that are not based on checkuser are User:Bang boom so ha and User:Inferno, Lord of the Losers are both my brother User:Chukonu xbow and User:Djakil I have no explanation for, check to see if they have edited from any uinique IPs User:Mario080595 as I said earlier, is a friend irl, and should only have been created on this computer (check for a unique IP) That being said, I stand by my summary, though a block seems inevitable. (Even if a block is not issued, I am retiring after this, this drama is too much tbh)

So anyways, I've said what I have to say, Bang, Djakil and Losers were indef'ed before this, Chukonu should be notified of this but not blocked, and Mario should also not be blocked. (Can you CU individual edits? As I said, I don't have a clue about who chukonu is, and mario is a friend IRL, and djakil was already blocked) Inferno, Lord of Penguins 16:10, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
