Hi, Jethrobot. About your edits to Game Boy- look, Nintendo's marketing lies sometimes. I saw the link you provided, but unfortunately, it's not correct. The Game Boy (which debuted in 1989) was preceded by the Microvision from Milton Bradley (1979), the Entex Select-A-Game in 1981 and the Epoch Game Pocket Computer in 1984. Nintendo's marketing fluff is just that, fluff.

Oh dear, you are quite right. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I honestly do like my username though, and I have been making small, but helpful contributions to Wikipedia. I'd like to see if I might be able to keep my username under the grandfather clause mentioned under Wikipedia:Username_policy#Appropriate_usernames. As I said it is jarring when an apparent robot votes in AFD, and other editors have to waste their time to go to your talk page to see the message you refer to. Maybe your signature could note that you are not a robot. That would be an improvement and less disruptive of others efforts working on the encyclopedia than the present sig. You shouldn't have removed the Proposed Deletion template as you did so without making any changes to the article. The album is not inherently notable because Johan Morand produced it, and the reference merely shows the album exists, which is not sufficient for notability. I got cranky about the source thing because 99% of the time, people will say "Keep, I found sources X Y and Z" and then the AFD gets closed as keep, but the article's still in dire shape because nobody ever gets around to adding the sources — everyone keeps thinking everyone else will do it. Journal of Performance Measurement

Hello,

I made a few changes to the article regarding The Journal of Performance Measurement. I made changes to some of the language used and added a few outside sources as well. As far as being a notable item, it is a professional journal, rather than academic, that is circulated throughout the world and is the only one of it's kind. It is currently in its 15th year of publication. As stated in the article, many notable names in the investment industry have contributed and been interviewed including to Nobel Prize winners.

Let me know what additional changes I would need to make.

When an article goes up for deletion (ideally), it should be able whether the subject is verifiable and is covered by third-party independent sources to support its notability. I'm glad you took the time to clean up the writing, but the deletion isn't because of the bad writing. Also, there's no doubt the journal is real and that people publish in it, as shown by the articles you've provided in the references. However, these don't qualify for third-party, independent sources, and that's why I nominated it. There are two sources that are potentially independent:
I can't seem to access the first article as it is for subscribers only and the second one details an award the journal won, which is a good thing for keeping it. This means the article is relying on a single independent source, and it needs to have multiple, reliable sources. Hi thanks for the reply. Let me see if I can explain a few things.

Japanese Tamil Meaning Comments Dai Ai colloquial reference to excretion. Haven't heard あい｜ai used this way before. 糞｜ふん｜fun or くそ｜kuso is one term I know for excrement. I have heard it used like 'shit' as well as 'kuso'. Mei Mai mei means eyes, mai means mascara. 目 (me) is the proper romanization. OOps! kura karu blackened 黒｜くろ｜kuro is the color name for black. I don't know about "blackened." Kura-i mono, i.e. Kurai shirou (dark castle) Oungaku Oungaram music 音楽｜おんがく｜ongaku is the correct romanization for music. I have seen both being used, you can look it up if you dont believe me. iru/aru iru to stay/ be present OK ue uyer up OK. kuro karu black OK. Ou Kou King OK. Kara Kara 'empty' in Japanese, 'to extract' in Tamil OK. kiru no koto kiru-ku wathu 'to cut and kill', 'to behead' in Japanese, 'to scratch' or 'to scribble' in Tamil 　切るのこと｜kiru no koto doesn't seem like it would translate to that. chiisana chinna small it would just be 小さい｜chiisai, not 小さいな｜chiisaina, which is a phrase where expressing "Don't be small," or expressing doubt that someone is small. CHII-sana, not CHIi-saIna, basically like any other adjective in japanese sugoina hi (great day), kawaina ningyo (cute doll), Aniki Annachi used to refer to gang leader; literally means 'elder brother' OK.

Andrew Bloch

Hi there

Hope that all is well with you.

I wanted to get in touch for some advice. I've tried twice to get a small article up about Andrew Bloch as stakeholders keep wondering why there is not one when there are so many analogous entries for similar agency founders. I'm sure not perfect or an expert in the ways of Wikipedia, but I try to be honest and do it right and most of my articles are left unmolested except for a few edits here and there. Do you have any advice for getting an article up in a stable state approved of by the community. I was accused of bad faith, but then Ravenswing and others came in the same breath to call me corrupt and state that trade media references are irrelevant. It was deleted by Cirt, who seems to be an editor of come controversy. Any advice, thoughts and help much appreciated.

I'm a little fuzzy on what sources were available for Bloch exactly, but I remember it wasn't exactly ideal coverage. I thought the PR pieces were pretty good, and I thought there was an interview or two. There was a lot about his company, and less about Bloch himself. If there are analogous entries, that are not well sourced or do not provide sources with independent and in-depth coverage, then they should probably be deleted too. The fact that other stuff exists on Wikipedia is not always the most effective argument to make in deletion discussion. You can consider bringing the article to Deletion Review where editors can review whether the deletion was fair or not. Let me know if you decide to start one, and I will likely comment there. I reverted your change because you got rid of a source and information without saying why (you should provide an edit summary for what you are doing when you edit articles, especially when removing references). Facebook is not a reliable source for verifying information because it is user-generated, so that source on Zamperini won't work. However, the reference for Diabate should work. I'm not sure why you deleted the information, though. The article clearly states that 13 was worn by others after Flahavan, and so it wasn't actually retired. That google chrome plugin was created specifically for websites like eHow, which fill the web with annoying spam.

It's fine if you want to say the google chrome made a plugin and provide a source other than a link to download the application, but Wikipedia is not the place to promote the plugin by linking to it, especially not on the article about EHow. It basically sends a message to readers that, "hey, you can download this app to block results from the website you're reading about on Wikipedia!" There are also many national and international standards that reference the technology and many multi-national oil and gas companies that have specifications that include the technology.

Well, I wrote why on the proposed deletion template. Here it is again:
Product intended to prevent corrosion in pipelines lacks reliable, third-party sources and does not meet the general notability guidelines.
Basically what this means is that Wikipedia pages for products such as this one need to have multiple, independent sources that discuss the product in-depth. This means that websites of companies that make the product are not valid, because they are not independent of the subject matter. The article you mentioned, found this article you listed doesn't even mention "heat-shrinkable sleeves," so it's not valid for use on this article. I also don't understand what the references "ISO 21809-3, EN 12068, DIN 30678, and NACE SP 0303" are supposed to mean (I assume it is registration info), but they're not linked to anything.
A second problem is that you have a conflict of interest as your username seems to imply some affilitation with the company that created heat-shrinkable sleeves. Editors are advised not to create articles about a product they own or about themselves as it is difficult for them to remain unbiased. Please read more at WP:COI to see what I mean.
Finally, because you have objected to the proposed deletion without actually improving the article, I am going to put this article in the articles for deletion. I was unable to find anything myself (e.g. this article mentions the product, but is more about the company than the product). If you can find sources that support the notability of the product, I would suggest adding them to the article and discussing them at the AfD discussion. The references are Internation Standards and obviously I didn't provide the proper links. Also, I didn't add in the articles - they came from someone else. The Huntsville article you located was from a local newspaper where our manufacturing plant is located and not suitable for this forum. At the end of this message, I have attached a few links. If you would be so kind as to look at this links and let me know, a) would they make the page better and b) how to add them. Please note that the standards are publically available standards but are sold by the SRO that produces them. PROD is fine by me. They are indeed XBox characters. There are several problems with the page, but mostly that it is in-game content, but they did actually include links, so I guess speedy deletion is out of the question. Help with Human Skin Color article. Very important

I pray you Jethrobot to forbid the user 111.94.228.121 to modify the position of East Asian in Phototype II. The sources added by user 111.94.228.121 say that East Asian People belong to Phototype IV (see Sources 52, 53, 54 in notes)but he put East Asian in Phototype II. I corrected the error committed by user 111.94.228.121 and I tell him that his sources say the opposite of what he asserts. Now, I'm wondering if he can read or understand English... I don't know... but I'm sure that he is in error (see his sources). So, I ask your help to lock the East Asian position in Phototype IV in the article. Also scientifical articles and essays (see Jablonski and Chaplin) say that skin reflectance of Europeans (also Southern Europeans) is higher (so the europeans' skin is lighter) than that of East Asian (Japanese people have values very similar to those of Philipino people and Vietnamese people): Europeans range is from 62 to 67, East Asian range is from 53 to 59.

An invitation

Sometimes a film article is on the brink and almost but not quite ready (see WP:NotJustYet), and per WP:ATD a short term incubation while real-world events progress is worth considering. An example of one that could grow would be Jack (2011 film) which has a great deal of untapped sourcing availble giving it the potential for improvement through collaborative editing off of mainspace in the Incubator... and another example would be the already well-sourced Nephilim (film) which simply had no other place to which it could be redirected or merged. And so while yes, films in the planning stages generally do not merit their own articles, there many instances per WP:FUTURE when it IS suitable to have at least some sourced information about a planned film included in a related article (an example being the "planned" Lincoln (2012 film) which has enough persistant coverage to be worth including in the Speilberg article's section Steven Spielberg#Upcoming and announced projects), we actually do allow an occasional rare exception. While there are a number of different tutorials on WP, they are spread all over the place, and many are written to be understood ony by someone versed in interpreting tax code (chuckle). My own introduction to the project was like learning to speak a foreign language. After three years I am more fluent, but still learning. Compatible Hero Series

Cool. Well, I will start editing that page this weekend (I hope), then if I need something I'll ask you for sure. As I said, I'm going to "copy" the Kunio-kun page (List of games Section). Game title, release date and two lines or so about the game. English is not my mother tongue so it pretty sucks when it comes to writing. Maybe you can edit the characters section and also the summary/introduction.

Giving you an example, there were three useless pages about games of J.League Excite Stage (series), but I merged them all in a single page, looks better now, still under construction though, so please don't add those notability templates.
