...first let me say thay that I also want this article gone; more hussle than it deserves imho... but: when I read Wikipedia:Proposed deletion, I think that removing one prod (my stupid BLPPROD) kills the possibility of prodding it again. You and I both know that you like to create controversial articles, presenting how horrible and evil certain people are against their oh-so-innocent victims. For starters, just look at the title of Wahhabi sack of Karbala; it is the only "Sack of..." article that specifies the perpetrators while it could have been a simple Sack of Karbala. Now look where this kind of tendentious writing has led to: endless talk page discussions. Infobox versus Geobox

Thank you for your comment. Having said that, nowhere does it say that the use of Infobox are compulsory. In fact, the reference you stated indicates that "this is not compulsory". There is no statement that Geoboxes are forbidden. In fact, as a significant contributor to architectural content on the Portuguese article-space I have chosen to use the Geobox as it is MORE complete then the limited Architectural infoboxes. Once again there is no indication that it is forbidden. I noticed that you tried substituting the Geobox for the Infobox in in the article of Convent of São Francisco, thereby eliminating a lot of the content and proving the limitations of the architectural Infobox. I suggest, that if you can prove that the content identified in my Geobox contributions can be substituted for your Infobox, then a change would be in order. I have tried giving you advice, but you will not take any. Wikipedia has guidelines and policies to ensure quality, but since you continue to do disregard everybody's remarks (deleting your entire talk page illustrates said disregard), go against consensus (multiple recreations of List of tallest buildings in Bandung despite a deletion discussion closing as delete) and fail to communicate with other editors (no edit summaries, hardly any attempt at discussing edits on talk pages), I am on the verge of taking this to WP:ANI. --HyperGaruda (talk) 11:47, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

Ali in the Quran

Hello I wanted to ask if you could look at the talk page of this article it has been discussed before that the article is based solely on the Shia perspective I am not one for sectarian edit wars but its Wikipedia and some sources are also misrepresented as Sunni while coming from Shia sources. @NoorAlavi: I always give my reasons in the edit summary, which you can look up in the page history. In this case, WP:QUOTEFARM is an elaboration on the policy that Wikipedia is not a repository for random quotes, especially if they are merely decorating the page instead of explaining the page's subject. --HyperGaruda (talk) 19:26, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
Regarding the copyright issues: if their website truly copied from Wikipedia, then they are legally required (check Wikipedia's terms of use all the way at the bottom of each page) to provide attribution. Sir, on the page “Alavi Bohras”, there is a template message focusing on various issues and making it dull, unauthentic, unverifiable and ambiguous. I think you have a long and robust experience of editing on Wikipedia. Below points could throw light on the issues included in the template…

1. Not much research work has been done on Alavi Bohras (AB) as they have been mistakenly considered as the offshoot of mainstream Bohra communities. 2. The website www.alavibohra.org is the only web facility available catering to the needs of scholars interested in the history of AB. 3. The sources, references and minor mentions of AB from the published books described in Wikipedia are the only third party books written by non-AB. 4. Because AB constitute to be the smallest group among Bohras, its history and origin has been overshadowed and fabricated by the historians who were ignorant about its facts and got carried away by the material available in the market without verifying it. 5. “NoorAlavi” who often edits the AB page is associated with the library of AB situated in their centre at Vadodara. 6. It is very difficult to verify the material written on AB page as any editor could not find it anywhere else. It is being translated from the manuscripts.

Greetings. I've reverted this edit/tag [1] as unnecessary and inappropriate. The article simply quotes the Koran's version of Mohammed's purported experience without saying, "This happened." As such it requires no interpretation. Readers can accept/reject the events described. If you added this in response to the external links that had been added to the article body, that's understandable, and perhaps commendable. List of subdistricts of Indonesia

Hello, it's nice to change names but I fail to understand the logic behind it. If there are "subdistricts", where are the "districts"? And since kecamatan are called "distrik" in Papua, isn't it because kecamatan are indeed districts? :-) Humboldt 19:22, 30 December 2017 (UTC)

By the way, did you know you can sign your posts by inserting ~~~~ at the end? Once you hit the "Publish changes" button, the four tildes will automatically convert into your username and a timestamp. As for your question: the reason dates back to when there was an additional subdivision actually called distrik or kawedanan, positioned between kabupaten and kecamatan; follow this link for a more detailed explanation. I can follow your reasoning but since kewedanaan (kawedanan is Javanese/Sundanese) no longer exist I was wondering whether one should still mention them (my great-grandfather was wedana of Majalaya before the WW II). @Humboldt: We do not rename things to how we think they should be named, because that goes against one of Wikipedia's core policies about original research. Instead, we use whatever translation is attested in reliable sources, which is "subdistrict" such as used here, here and here. --HyperGaruda (talk) 15:04, 31 December 2017 (UTC)
I disagree strongly with you on this matter. A "subdistrict" is by definition in English an administrative level below a "district". Thus logically one cannot have "subdistricts" if there is not a level called "districts" for the subdistrict to be below. By the elimination of the former kewedanaan (or kawedanan), the level below the kabupaten, i.e. the kecamatan, became "districts" in translation. The only alternative would be to translate kabupaten as "district", which I believe you would agree is unacceptable. Rif Winfield (talk) 11:19, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Rif Winfield: by that same logic, a kabupaten should not be translated as regency, because a regent by etymological definition represents a king (Latin: rex), which is not applicable anymore to the current republic.
