The nominated article is 2008 Barack Obama assassination scare in Tennessee. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2008 Barack Obama assassination scare in Tennessee. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 26 December 2009 (UTC) RequestHey, Hunter. helloThank you for your nice message. I actually thought of what you were doing but was trying to think how to do it without the disambiguation people blanking it out and turning it into a disambiguation. I even thought of naming it differently and seeing how many minutes a "Barack H Obama .....something" page would last. About Kevin Rudd, he attracts less lightning than Barack Obama for some reason so I felt that it was easier to manage which explains what I did or didn't do. I have some ideas for genuine expansion but will need to work on it for about 2 days or so, getting references, then writing it. JB50000 (talk) 03:42, 30 December 2009 (UTC) Obama assassination scares may be a better title because some of them are just wackos who created a scare. Some of the incidents were not threats. Obama also includes the rest of the family, in case the incident was ambiguous. As far as Kevin Rudd, I think the better plan is to keep the Prod tag on until the very last day because then I'll have more time to improve it. JB50000 (talk) 03:46, 30 December 2009 (UTC) FAI just saw that the Denver assassination article is a featured article candidate (as mentioned on the talk page) but is an archive page. Does that mean it did not pass? Or did pass? Or still pending? JB50000 (talk) 03:55, 30 December 2009 (UTC) FAChttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:FAC/ar See above. The Denver article has failed FA. Sorry. I did leave some comments a few minutes ago. JB50000 (talk) 04:22, 30 December 2009 (UTC) I was looking to see how to fix the talk page. The bot has fixed it about 3 minutes ago. Sorry. JB50000 (talk) 04:26, 30 December 2009 (UTC) Happy New YearHappy New Year. I read your comments. Pointy wasn't the motive. Somehow, how can we reject "other stuff exists" and go for global consideration of related articles. For example, if one band's albums is not notable, how about similar albums from the same band? JB50000 (talk) 01:35, 1 January 2010 (UTC) That link on Timshift9's user talk page that you mentioned was completely misunderstood. This is what I wrote on that user talk page to clarify. Hunter Kahn mistakenly thought I was threatening to delete the 2009 Barack Obama visit to China. No, I was alerting you of a similar style of article so that you could be convinced to keep both articles. Of course, such tactic could backfire and you could try to delete both of them. Starting a new articleAny suggestions to starting a new article. I could start a 3 sentence article but immediately some may try to delete it. Here's the outline and working title (not necessarily the final title) Barack Obama's Hawaii What do you think? JB50000 (talk) 03:54, 3 January 2010 (UTC) Thank you for your advice but I think I'll lay off the idea for now. Maybe after section 6 is writable then I'll consider the idea. There are plenty of reliable sources for all these sections, even now. Even enough for sections 4,5 and 6 as a standalone article but probably not worth the fight to keep it from being AFD'd. JB50000 (talk) 04:14, 3 January 2010 (UTC) automatically AFD proof articlesWhat kinds of articles are practically immune to AFDs? I think they are high schools or higher levels of education, geographical places of at least a town or larger, crash of an airplane flown by an airline where many people died. Anything else? However, I saw that under your profile you have a section called "Articles I made" and in it you listed 2010 Las Vegas courthouse shooting as one article you made. This is not true, I created that article, you simply moved it to a title that did not include capital letters for courthouse and shooting. I know that I created a very modest beginning of an article, but I did so nevertheless. Thus, please remove that article from your list of "articles I made" because it is on my list, I created it. I am still 49.99% for keep as I think it is a notable article. Maybe even 51%, I don't know. I did put a lot of work into it. I do see a lot of points for keep but the big point for delete is that a lot of people don't want it. JB50000 (talk) 07:33, 6 January 2010 (UTC) Re: Parks and RecreationHey Hunter, what's up? Roadmap?I am interested in clear guidelines. Now they are clearer (after re-writing) but not specific enough. By the guidelines, the two articles (2009 trips) are a keep. Obama is more of a celebrity than Rudd. However, by historical measures, neither is a keep. Historical guidelines shape one's thinking but is not a Wikipedia criteria. I think I might contact the leading author of the guidelines (The Wordsmith) and seek to improve the guidelines. WikiProject reportsA WikiProject reports is basically a story about what's been going on lately with a particular WikiProject: what interesting efforts are underway, what strategies they are using to organize editor effort, what milestones or goals they work towards, what the content in their area is like quality-wise, etc. Another variation that past Signpost writers have done is to interview the leaders of a WikiProject. You can see examples of what people have done with the WikiProject report in the past here; it's very flexible and can basically be anything you think people would want to read within the general scope of WikiProjects.--ragesoss (talk) 21:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

AFDThank you for your nice message. Unfair treatment and article "racism" is bad. Article racisms has nothing to do with race except that people treat some article differently just like they treat Black people differently. For example, the Obama trip to China survived AFD at first. Only when confronted with "article racism" did the AFD turn to delete. I guess that the person deciding did not want to keep the Obama article and delete the Rudd article. In the end, I don't agree with the decision but it was not the worse decision possible. What is the solution to reduce unfair treatment? I think it is a revisiting of the othercrapexist idea. Not exactly sure how, though. We've had some shakeups regarding late entries, flag changes and early dropouts, but the competition is now established- there will be no more flag changes or new competitors. Congratulations to Sasata (submissions), our current leader, who, at the time of writing, has more listed points than Hunter Kahn (submissions) and TonyTheTiger (submissions) (second and third place respectively) combined. A special well done also goes to Fetchcomms (submissions)- his artcle Jewel Box (St. Louis, Missouri) was the first content to score points in the competition. Around half of competitors are yet to score. Please remember to submit content soon after it is promoted, so that the judges are able to review entries. 64 of the 149 current competitors will advance to round 2- if you currently have no points, do not worry, as over half of the current top 64 have under 50 points. Everyone needs to get their entries in now to guarantee their places in round 2! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, by email or on IRC. Good luck!
