Thank you for your nice message. I actually thought of what you were doing but was trying to think how to do it without the disambiguation people blanking it out and turning it into a disambiguation. I even thought of naming it differently and seeing how many minutes a "Barack H Obama .....something" page would last.

About Kevin Rudd, he attracts less lightning than Barack Obama for some reason so I felt that it was easier to manage which explains what I did or didn't do. Obama assassination scares may be a better title because some of them are just wackos who created a scare. Some of the incidents were not threats. Obama also includes the rest of the family, in case the incident was ambiguous.

Starting a new article

Any suggestions to starting a new article. I could start a 3 sentence article but immediately some may try to delete it. Here's the outline and working title (not necessarily the final title)

Barack Obama's Hawaii
Section 1: Early life in Hawaii
Section 2: Exact addresses of his school, his homes, all which have reliable sources. There have even been articles tracing the locations of Barack Obama's Hawaii.
Section 3: Recent ties to Hawaii: Emergency trip to see his dying grandmother in late 2008 - well covered in the news.
Section 4: Ms. Roshia's assassination scare as she travelled from Boston to Hawaii and found out the location of where they would be staying.
Section 5: Barack Obama's Christmas 2009. I saw an article today about their stay and how they tried to be low keyed.
Section 5 - part II: Barack coming out of hiding to react to the Northwest Airlines underpants bombing attempt and the CIA killing in Afghanistan. He held a news conference for the underpants bomb.
Section 6 (in the future): His other trips to Hawaii in 2010 and later

Thank you for your advice but I think I'll lay off the idea for now. Maybe after section 6 is writable then I'll consider the idea. There are plenty of reliable sources for all these sections, even now. Even enough for sections 4,5 and 6 as a standalone article but probably not worth the fight to keep it from being AFD'd. 2009 Kevin Rudd visit to Japan

I submitted an AFD because there is so much opposition to it. When people keep repeating something, you can start to believe it. I am still 49.99% for keep as I think it is a notable article. Maybe even 51%, I don't know. I did put a lot of work into it. I do see a lot of points for keep but the big point for delete is that a lot of people don't want it. Roadmap?

I am interested in clear guidelines. Now they are clearer (after re-writing) but not specific enough. By the guidelines, the two articles (2009 trips) are a keep. Obama is more of a celebrity than Rudd. However, by historical measures, neither is a keep. Historical guidelines shape one's thinking but is not a Wikipedia criteria. Well I believe that'd be a very reasonable thing to do. The reviewer noted that I should get the article copyedit, so I suppose I'll perform one by myself before asking someone I know if they can perform it again. However, though, I'm unsure about listing it at GAR, as the page states that "If you can fix the concerns, find them unreasonable, or the review inadequate, it is usually best to renominate the article at Wikipedia:Good article nominations, rather than requesting a community reassessment." I don't mind your CE, the useful it is, the more it'll be good. I removed the last sentence from the lead, per your suggestion. I just added it cause I thought it'd be useful, but at the same time I don't want to give too much in the lead. I don't know, but the thing she says she did to Sean Hayes was the one they used in the episode; she ended up slapping him. Here's the script to prove it. Hope that is not killing you no more. WikiProject reports

A WikiProject reports is basically a story about what's been going on lately with a particular WikiProject: what interesting efforts are underway, what strategies they are using to organize editor effort, what milestones or goals they work towards, what the content in their area is like quality-wise, etc. Another variation that past Signpost writers have done is to interview the leaders of a WikiProject. You can see examples of what people have done with the WikiProject report in the past here; it's very flexible and can basically be anything you think people would want to read within the general scope of WikiProjects.--ragesoss (talk) 21:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

In the past, WikiProject reports haven't really been topical like that; a typical report has more been basically an overview/introduction to a significant WikiProject. Great! Just add yourself for the WikiProject report here, either as a main writer or backup depending on whether you think you want to contributed weekly or close to, or just occasionally. Unfair treatment and article "racism" is bad. Article racisms has nothing to do with race except that people treat some article differently just like they treat Black people differently. For example, the Obama trip to China survived AFD at first. Only when confronted with "article racism" did the AFD turn to delete. I guess that the person deciding did not want to keep the Obama article and delete the Rudd article. In the end, I don't agree with the decision but it was not the worse decision possible.

What is the solution to reduce unfair treatment?

WikiCup 2010 and Dermatology-related content

I noticed that you are participating in the 2010 WikiCup. I have been working on the Bolognia push which is a project to make sure Wikipedia has an article (or redirect) on every know cutaneous condition. With that being said, there are still many cutaneous condition stubs to be made, and Bolognia could be a source for a lot of DYK articles, etc. Therefore, I was thinking maybe we could help one another... a competative WikiCup that also serves to improve dermatologic content on Wikipedia. We are half way through round one of the WikiCup. We've had some shakeups regarding late entries, flag changes and early dropouts, but the competition is now established- there will be no more flag changes or new competitors. Congratulations to Hungary Sasata (submissions), our current leader, who, at the time of writing, has more listed points than Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions) and New Orleans TonyTheTiger (submissions) (second and third place respectively) combined. A special well done also goes to Isle of Man Fetchcomms (submissions)- his artcle Jewel Box (St. Louis, Missouri) was the first content to score points in the competition.

Around half of competitors are yet to score. Please remember to submit content soon after it is promoted, so that the judges are able to review entries. 64 of the 149 current competitors will advance to round 2- if you currently have no points, do not worry, as over half of the current top 64 have under 50 points. Everyone needs to get their entries in now to guarantee their places in round 2! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup.
