Welcome!Welcome to Wikipedia, HarveyPrototype! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Marek.69 talk 02:26, 17 July 2009 (UTC) re your questionHi HarveyPrototype, in answer to your question, I noticed your edits on the Quito article, an the fact that your talk page was a 'red-link' (so probably relatively new to the project), so I thought I would welcome you :-) Marek.69 talk 14:04, 17 July 2009 (UTC) Hi HarveyPrototype, In order to upload a file, just go to Wikipedia:Upload (The link is also in the 'toolbox' section of the lefthand toolbar) Please check the copyright of the image first, before you upload it. (See also Wikipedia:Copyrights) With regards to the coordinates of each campus, I think you'll find the relevant information in this article Wikipedia:WikiProject_Geographical_coordinates#Parameters, subsection 'name' I hope this helps :-) Marek.69 talk 21:45, 17 July 2009 (UTC) Hi HarveyPrototype, I've left a reply to your message on my talk page -- Marek.69 talk 14:50, 20 July 2009 (UTC) Hi again, I've had a look and I'm not quite sure what the problem is. I must admit I'm not exactly an expert on images or the rules governing 'fair use' and copyrights. It may be a good idea to ask at Wikipedia:Help desk to get some additional help from editors who are more clued up on this. Meanwhile I'll do what I can to help. I'll keep you informed of my progress :-) Marek.69 talk 14:57, 20 July 2009 (UTC) UserboxHi HarveyPrototype, I've left a reply to your message on my talk page -- Marek.69 talk 21:28, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Universidad Del Pacífico – Ecuador, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Allan Nonymous (talk) 18:36, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
April 2024It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence User talk:James500#Recomendation on what to do. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. If you have questions about article sourcing, I would suggest WP:Teahouse for advice, calling in unrelated editors is frowned upon. Allan Nonymous (talk) 23:25, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
Let me begin by apologizing if I am in fact canvassing however I am requesting that you get involved as on Allan Nonymous talk page you have already expressed your criteria on articles marked for deletion. I am writing to address some concerns I have regarding the actions taken by editor Allan Nonymous, specifically in relation to their handling of deletion nominations and article maintenance. On April 28, 2024, I encountered a page marked for deletion by Allan Nonymous due to lack of citations: Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colegio_Menor_San_Francisco_de_Quito). In response, I took the initiative to add citations to the article and subsequently removed the deletion template. The page has since been merged. However, upon returning to Wikipedia, I discovered that articles I have contributed to, specifically the pages for Sonia Roca and Universidad Del Pacífico – Ecuador, have been flagged for issues. The Sonia Roca page was marked for notability, despite the fact that the template regarding notability was lifted in 2022. Additionally, the Universidad Del Pacífico – Ecuador page was marked for deletion because the English page's translation was deleted on Wikipedia.es. While it is true that the Spanish version of the page was deleted, it seems that this decision was based on different criteria than those used on the English Wikipedia. Moreover, my attempts to contribute to the Spanish version of the page resulted in my being blocked on Wikipedia.es. Thank you for your attention to this matter. After a thrilling finish to the event with a slew of submissions on the final day, we have our winners. With 608 points, Thebiguglyalien (submissions) comes in third with his series of Kiribati and Botswanan submissions; BeanieFan11 (submissions) flies into second place at the last second with 771 points after a string of good articles about sportspersons; and after leading for much of contest's three months, Generalissima (submissions) finishes with a whopping 798 points to take home the Gold Belt Buckle. Congratulations to our winners! In addition to his spot in the top three, BeanieFan11 (submissions) also wins the special awards for submitting under the most countries (44 countries) and for writing the most articles about women (15 Did you know? nominations)! Magentic Manifestations (submissions), after making 16 submissions under the Indian flag—15 of them good articles—receives the awards for most submissions for a single country and most featured or good articles promoted. For their submission of one FAC review, five FLC reviews, and 20 GAN reviews, Simongraham (submissions) wins for most article reviews. The results of the contest have far exceeded any expectations the coordinators had for it at the beginning: among the submissions to the event were 3 FAs, 10 FLs, 88 GAs, dozens of article reviews of every kind, and more Did you know? submissions than we can count! Regardless of your level of participation, every contestant can be proud to have contributed towards a major step in countering the systemic bias on Wikipedia. Every year, millions of readers and editors around the globe use Wikipedia to educate themselves and communicate with others about parts of the world that often receive less attention than they deserve. Thank you for participating with us in the contest and contributing to this effort. The DCWC will return next year and we look forward to seeing you contribute again! However, before that...
