Hi! Sorry to follow up with another copyright thing, but a section that got copied over from Kentucky Route 9 seems to be a close paraphrase of this source. (The full report is from 2002, which pre-dates the addition to Wikipedia in 2006.)
It's not your fault that this happened; this was present on Wikipedia for ~17 years before the page got forked. Just wanted to let you know of this, and also that it's been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2023 December 5. The section on the future of the highway needs to be rewritten to remove the close paraphrasing, and then it should be fine from a copyright perspective.

@Ha2772a: for the moment, I purged that entire section and requested the appropriate revision deletions to resolve the copyright issues. Previously, I had tagged that section with two issues. Since it was a series of bullet points, it needed conversion to prose, but more importantly, it was overly detailed and needed summation. It might have also been a bit out of date.
I've also taken corrective action on https://wiki.aaroads.com/wiki/Kentucky_Route_9. Because I'm an admin on that site, I can still access the deleted content there if we need it for some reason. Imzadi 1979 → 15:08, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Numbered highways in the United States examples

I reverted back to the previous selection of numbers for a number of reasons.

  1. It's a big change to make, and consensus developed to use the longest highway designation in each state as a way to eliminate the desire by various editors to constantly change an example to his/her favorite number.
  2. It is visually very boring to have most of the examples be the same number, especially when about half of them are all "1".
  3. While there is the desire to standardize on the square/two-digit design for consistency, Tennessee and South Carolina use a wider design, thus we can't have that consistency. That said, for the few others, we could use the longest two-digit designation to switch them for consistency, but TN and SC will still stand out, so having the four others makes them look less conspicuous.

Hi there. I undid your changes at Template:Infobox college baseball team and Template:Infobox college basketball team. It seems that the text you were automatically adding was already included in "name" by many pages, so it caused erroneous duplication. Note that per Help:Template#Modifying, template editors are expected to use the sandbox and testcaes before publishing changes. In this case, both of the template's existing testcases would have flagged the issue. Also note that Wikipedia typially uses sentence case and not title case. Please be more careful with languages

Hi - I've had to correct this edit which you made last year, where you claimed the motto "Houmout" was German, when the source actually states it's possibly Low German or Flemish. Low German is not simply a type of German, but more closely-related to Dutch, and it's generally not a good idea to simplify what the source says in situations like that, as it effectively amounted to disinformation in this case. Template:Infobox college football game

Hi, I see you made some recent edits to Template:Infobox college football game. It appears that something got broken with regards to the "last_game_ever_played" parameter. If you could take a look when time permits, that would be appreciated. See for example 2014 BCS National Championship Game. The "last_game_ever_played" parameter is set to "yes"... and the infobox displays the "yes" as raw text. Looking at the source of the template:

left = {{if empty|{{{first_game_ever_played|}}} ... etc.

The "if empty" is simply going to pass through whatever "first_game_ever_played" is set to, which I don't believe is what you were trying to do. Thanks. Dmoore5556 (talk) 01:00, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Update that I reverted your changes, as on further review, I see that Template:Succession links is always going to display something for prev and next, which is what "first_game_ever_played" and similar parameters are specifically trying to avoid. I don't think Template:Succession links can be used to accomplish that. I could not tell from your comments what specific issue you were trying to fix, so hopefully the revert is "better".
