User talk:Gtg228rNotability of Ahmadi (surname)Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Ahmadi (surname), by Nuttah68 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Ahmadi (surname) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. February 2008Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Carl.bunderson (talk) 04:30, 8 February 2008 (UTC) Adding website links to a very general article, like Recipe, especially when there are thousands of recipe sites on the web, is spam. If you have verifiable information to add to articles, that would be constructive, but linking to a single website from articles like Recipe and Restaurant is not. - Special-T (talk) 04:38, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
In response to your statement on my talk page that I have no right to remove your link, I'm cross-posting my response here:

In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 05:31, 8 February 2008 (UTC) |
